Personnaly, I think the purpose of the trial is to prove if in fact he did it or not. Everyone has the right to a fair trial, even Vince Li.

But, if it is proven beyond reasonable doubt that he did it, he should get the jail sentence that goes with the crime, the judge has no business in letting him go free just because some professionnal bullshitter psychiatrist has allegated that "the voice is responsible for it".

It's my opinion that if you commit a crime you should be punished for it if the facts can be demonstrated/proven and no doubt exists as to who is at fault. Regardless of illness, capacity or otherwise. The illness should not expunge his guilt before a trial as it all to often does in our society.

Justice is not served by a Psychiatrist, it is served by a jury of peers. If a jury of peers found him to be not criminally responsible that would have seen justice served, again, in my opinion.
