you don't have too remove a white background. you have used a multiply blend mode for tatoo layer = you burns all white colour in this layer... great job but too many unnecessary steps!

Can someone help me ? When I try to change the color of the tattoo like in the video, it applies the changes for all the image, not only the tattoo. What could be wrong ?

@iamthe202 Maybe make sure that you have the correct layer selected (the one that has the tattoo). If you have the background layer selected, then whatever changes you apply to that layer will affect the whole image, instead of the tattoo layer.

@Ifatkhar1mahesar check your foreground color/background color you usually want it to be white foreground black back (default). Also try the magic eraser tool to get the transparent to be left behind (hold eraser down and you will see it become available to you in CS5)

It's important to also remember not to get something that is really detailed at a really small size because they can't actually do that with real tattoos. This tattoo was probably starting to push the limits a little bit. Great video :)

at the beginning - if u un-tick 'contiguous' wen ur using the magic wand tool u can select all the white in one click, including gaps wer u'd normally hav to manually go in and select cuz its not connected.. as long as its on a high contrast image

+ couldve warped (right click option during transform) it abit too, so u can wrap the tattoo more snugly on the form of watever ur plotting it on

It Kinda Didn't Make Sense To Me Because Who Would Get A Tattoo Like That ( In That Position?) If You Look At Her Original Tattoo You Can See Were Theres A Piece Kind Of Missing Showing Obvious Signs Its On The Other Side Of Her Arm. So He Should Have Kept It In The Position It Came In When He Moved it Over To The Screen With The Lady On It (4:54) And Erase The Parts That Were Not On Her Skin. It Would Look More Realistic And Match The Other Tattoo.

Just right-click on Eraser and pick it. Then click at the white part and it's done!

This doesn't explain how to make the tatoo twist around the arm, which is the only problematic part about doing these kind of things. But it's important for fooling the eye. Right now, it still looks flat and unreaslistic.
