Hey man thanks so much it works perfectly. I had the system running, but I couldn't figure out how to download the guest additions. I subscribed thanks!

Ubuntu 10.10 boots up slow in VB. Any clue why? I allocated the same size drive and type and all that in the setup. I'm running Vista home premium on a pentium duel core. 3 gig ram, 250 gig hd.
I was confused why I couldn't install my iso in VB, then I realized it's because I made an ISO of the windows side by side installer, and didn't save the Ubuntu stand alone. DUH!
Can you delete this when your done with it so you can get back all allocated memory?
Thanks,

@god2many VirtualBox only uses memory when it is running the vm, just like any other app, I guess.

Thank you, that was helpful (I wouldn't have installed the guest additions otherwise). Though in my case I installed it on Windows 7. =)

Help? This kernel requires a x86-64 CPU, but only detected an i686 CPU. Unable to boot-please use a kernel appropriate for your CPU.

@clonearmycustomsrulz There are 32 and 64-bit versions of VirtualBox. I think you need to download the other one ;-)

@MrWaynemarshall make sure you have installed the VirtualBox Guest Additions.
This will allow you to go full screen.

@deadgod33 access goo.gl /sM5K (Join the link)
Select what version of Windows 7 you do want to buy (and Buy it);
Wait for DVD for delivering at your place;
Insert DVD inside your DVD driver on your computer;
Select to create ISO image file with your DVD Burning Software
and Enjoy it!
