  • @god2many VirtualBox only uses memory when it is running the vm, just like any other app, I guess.

  • i tryed to install ubuntu 11.04 onto virtualbox 4.0.8 but it froze to the bit when the bias confrigration bit

  • Doesn't work on my Dell Laptop (e5500). I'm missing half of the interface...

    (are you eating something or is that the keys?)

  • I can get mine to install and it will work for a while but after a few boots it takes me back to the install page.

  • Help? This kernel requires a x86-64 CPU, but only detected an i686 CPU. Unable to boot-please use a kernel appropriate for your CPU.

  • @clonearmycustomsrulz There are 32 and 64-bit versions of VirtualBox. I think you need to download the other one ;-)

  • wonder if you could help me with this please.I have a screen resolution of 1440x 900 , i have looked in monitor preferences but it only goes up to 1360x 768 is there any other way i can alter the resolution please

  • @MrWaynemarshall make sure you have installed the VirtualBox Guest Additions.

    This will allow you to go full screen.

  • Ubuntu 10.10 boots up slow in VB. Any clue why? I allocated the same size drive and type and all that in the setup. I'm running Vista home premium on a pentium duel core. 3 gig ram, 250 gig hd.

  • I was confused why I couldn't install my iso in VB, then I realized it's because I made an ISO of the windows side by side installer, and didn't save the Ubuntu stand alone.  DUH!

    Wait for DVD for delivering at your place;

    Insert DVD inside your DVD driver on your computer;

    Select to create ISO image file with your DVD Burning Software

    and Enjoy it!
