  • proper riders, proper races, passing every lap. so exciting. we need strokers back! best rossi quote "riding the 500 is like AHHHH FUCK"

  • TUTTI IN RIGA...............KING SCHWANTZ WIN

  • 2 dislikes? WHAT THE FUCK?!?!?

  • doohan = stoner.. they are real legend.. hey dude, 800-1000cc is heavy! with no traction control? how many motoGP riders get rid off away on the track?

  • Thats why Kevin Schwantz has such a reputation....even in these days......

  • No traction control, No abs brakes...etc

    Pure guts n skills.

    EXQUISITE!

  • this is why Valentino Rossi says that MotoGP today is for pussy! Watching earlier GP since 90 - 2000 is the best GP ever.

no electronics, no moaner, no shit! just RACE!

  • 4 bikes on the front in the final laps — you can't see anything like that on motogp these days. I want to see today's motogp riders race without traction control, anti wheelie, anti-lock braking system. dayum...

  • He looks superbly happy crossing that finish line

  • Yeaah, 2 stroke is the best...

  • Very funny for a German:

"Schwantz" is quite near to "Schwanz", which means "tail" or "cock" actually =)

  • @X8X8X8X8X8X8X8X8X8X or maybe its almost BLACK..like the clouds on the horizon BLACK like the ..A tree its a tree,Mother ..BLACK.. is that you in the buttons box making all that noise?

  • we don't need 500 CC two stokes, we just need to get rid of the traction control. Today's MOTO GP bikes are so easy to ride, we have 70 pound midgets riding and winning.

  • @robertoppenheimer So wrong, you have no idea! STFU

  • @robertoppenheimer lets see you ride a motogp bike, then come and tell me its "easy to ride"...

  • @robertoppenheimer Is "easy" to ride a motogp with rid of the traction. But IS VERY DIFFICULT with this bikes doing the same times at every lap. . Next, Stoner don´t use the rid of traction like the others riders for example.

  • hahaha that was great

  • Awesome video, many thanks for uploading this brilliant footage. Ive watched it 3 times. I really miss the strokers.

  • GREATEST YEARS 2T FOREVER

  • Absolute brilliant stuff. Great era of Moro GP. Seen this over 100 times the past years and it's just as exciting as if watching it for the first time.

  • "It's Schwantz, it must be Schwantz!"

  • Too bad all of you can't see the huge smile I've got in my face...Great times for motorcycle racing.

  • 7-7-7-7-7-7 for jumping Kevin :D

  • Do i hear Jules?? :D

  • @Tarlok48 Yep, the commentators are Keith Huewen and Julian Ryder.

  • @raisinberry777v2 Always loved Jules, always will ^^

  • Man! I miss Doohan....

I remember watching this live sitting on te edje of my chair!

    These guy´s are my heroes!

  • kevin, mick and wayne............

    la 500 dei fenomeni.

  • 2STROKES FOREVER THE BEST

  • that are the real reaces

  • Traction control and loud fart machines suck. Bring back smokers.

  • @yzmaximus Yesss! 2 STROKE FOREVER.

By the 2stroke v4 500cc bikes you had to be a great biker. The today's 4strokes with narrow power band are way easier to control...

  • anyone know the model Suzuki Kevin rode? and yes 500cc 2 stroke all day!

  • Stoner would have lost respect for them if he was in that battle.

  • i miss the 500cc 2 strokes , proper blokes and proper racing , none of this crappy moto gp shite

  • ive got doohan´s helmet :D the same one :O :D:D:D

  • All these guys were truly my heroes growing up. Would love to Rossi &co. try their luck on those brutal bikes.

  • @eariamjh71

Rossi won the title on a 500cc 2 stroke

  • @jonesy77777

    DOH!!! (face palm)

  • @eariamjh71

It's all good bro ha, ha...

  • @jonesy77777 Lol, so you are comparing the 2001 Honda NSR500 with the late 80s early 90s bikes? Haha. The 2001 NSR500 is the best bike EVER. He had the bike that has won the last 6 championships... but lost to the Suzuki Schwantz almost created, the RGV500, whose rider was Roberts Jr. And then, after dominating 2001 with the best bike ever, the 2 stroke disappeared. But in his world titles, who were his toughest rivals? Sete Gibernau? Melandri? Haha! He can't ride the Ducati, so just imagine it.

  • @yowyOw69

What the hell are you talking about, are you suggesting the Honda wasn't a two stroke 500cc racing bike. That was the statement, nothing more and nothing less. You are judged by your peers, and Rossi was and is the greatest rider of all time. Don't quite understand how you switched the topic so completely but just to put you in the right direction, Rossi beat Stoner for the title as many times as Stoner has beat Rossi, except Stoners were light years better than competition

  • @jonesy77777 I can clearly see you absolutely have no clue. Enjoy your ignorance!

  • @yowyOw69 You call me ignorant simply because I have a different view. I did not call you ignorant despite disagreeing. The previous poster stated that he would love to see Rossi on a 2 stroke 500, I informed him that he won a title on one. That is a fact. I did not attempt to compare, contrast or do anything else regarding previous generations. You did... on your own. Then you call me ignorant? You are an elitist and clearly wish for a world without freedom of choice and opinion!

  • @yowyOw69 These are the riders Rossi won championships over, guys with Max Biaggi - 4x 250cc (way more accomplished than Pedrosa) Cap - 3 x WC(125/250) Pedrosa - 2x 250 WC Lorenzo - 1x GP WC (and 2 x 250 WC) Stoner - 2x GP wc Criville - 500cc champ over doohan Hayden - 1x GP wc Kato - 1 x 250wc Melandri - 1 x 250 WC Roberts Jr - 1 x GP WC Not including all of the WS and AMA champs he destroyed(no different than spies and edwards today). The reason these 250 guys aren't GP legends is ROSSI.
  • how is motegi mediocre at best? :S i take it you didnt watch last years battle with rossi and lorenzo

  • @l0dgey I'm also going to presume you haven't watched the 2003 125cc race from Suzuka, but that's cool too

  • @raisinberry777v2 suppose you didnt see kato crash and die by hitting a concrete wall at suzuka AFTER the riders had complained about the concerns for safety there?

  • Sigh. I truly miss that era.

  • these legends would have been 10x better if they had grown up in this generation of Motorcycles

  • Absolute legends. Schwantz, rainy, doohan, lawson, Gardner!!!!!!!!!

  • As fast as the bikes and racers are today,no one can say these fellows weren't as good as it gets. The 500's were beasts. So much fun to watch, then and now....

  • "The crowd is being very un-japanese at the moment" hahahaha!!!! he meant they are actually showing some emotion. fucking great commentating.

  • God i loved the riding styles of the riders during this era, they were individuals, you could tell who was who. Now, they all look like California Supebike School graduate clones!

  • No traction control there, moto gp riders are pussy's compared to 2 stroke area.[ just my opnion lol]

  • this is racing!!

  • 途中で音声が途切れちゃったのが残念・・・

    それを適当な音声でごまかしてるのが残念、、、

  • Those were a REAL MEN, and not the pussies and cry babies as now....begining for Rossi

  • Ah, good times.

  • 34 43v3r

  • after 1:50 you can clearly hear schwantz so crazy on the gas an clutch ;) please listen carefully at that corner exit....wow i go crazy on this few sec`s of sound!!! look at his wheel spin while this haha its to great wooow...kevin was allways my hero and this just proves it one more time - no one ever raced like him

    ty sooo much, great video

  • amazing. those machines were awesome and that riding just super.

  • proud member of the rossi/doohan squad... fuck schwantz, criville and lorenzo!!!

  • Excellent!

From the time when GP-racing was worth watching.

    Thanx for posting.

  • man i remember watching these guys in Shah Alam back in 95.. the bikes were LOUD and looked RUTHLESS. when the venue moved to Sepang and the Shah Alam track got demolished.. i felt really sad. great things always get killed over something stupid (dumb Malaysian politics lead to the Shah Alam circuit demolition) Sepang isnt bad but its just too wide, too big even for F1 standards. watching the 4 strokes in Sepang now makes me yawn.

  • I managed to record many many races maybe 150 all the way from 1990-2011 , The two stroke were good to watch , more out of control , they would snap in the rear-end like a cut snake-I still watch my 500cc races I put on disc :-) The 2011 moto Gp are faster- casey stoners honda just rides on rails , with the clutch-electronics-and frame-engine technology the repsol honda is faultless. At Qatar Casey wasn't even sweating after the race the difference is HUGE !

  • That's the real racing! Amazing..

  • M Doohan best diver ever

  • the crowd is getting very un-japanese at the moment!!

  • valentino rossi impara come si guida da schwantz

  • the glory days!!!!

  • GPS traction control is what killed motoGP, not the 4 stroke. if they were still on 2 strokes, it would be just as boring because they'd all be on traction control. it owuld jsut sound different.

  • doohans got a really weird twisted riding style! seemed to work for him though! lol

  • moto gp in its prime.... we need to get the 500cc back in moto gp!!!! i mean come on you can race 50 v8 nascars for 100 laps but cant ride 2 strokes!!!

  • @GermanSniperBayArea i know not to mention all the old great bike companies that arent around much like cagiva

  • two strokes forever! they are by far the best bikes in the world ever! bring back the 500 smoker then we'll see how good jorge lorenzo is!!!!!!!! rossi is the goat

  • Schwantz!!!!!

  • Rainey..., look for Rainey!!

Classic nose to nose stuff from the 2-stroke kings.

Real riders from back in the day. Just don't see this kind of competitive stuff anymore.

  • real warriors

  • Fantastic stuff, thanks for posting clip,

Great footage of the heroes of motogp back in the day.

    Schwantz, just extraordinary stuff...

  • Beautiful RACE!! Luv those good 'ol days.

  • epic

  • Can you see the same competition today??? No, look at the first 7 placed. The best ever. Great video

  • Kevin and Suzuki are my Hero!!

  • Comment removed

  • There will NEVER be a more awesome type of racing machine than the old 500cc GP bikes. Including the old CanAm cars of the late 60s and early 70s. Nothing better than these two-stroke beasts!!!!!

  • Tres beau souvenir .. merci !!

  • The great Suzy # 34 !!

  • little know fact; Rainey got pit signals that there was one more lap to go!

  • KUSHITANI HAMAMATSU racing leather suit. boots gloves.. manufacturer

a Oval mark fuji mountain on the shoulder.. that company president is a member of international illegal drug syndicate organization. a very dangerous man and complicated criminal..

I'm Danny Mack the brother inlaw of kushitani hamamatsu company president I'm a victim of their satanic behavior!

  • @gemin1962 go eat a dick

  • Funny how when Doohan was winning titles everyone said he had no decent competition, then Rossi came along, beat all the same guys and was hailed as a legend !! Rossi IS a legend but Mick doesn't get the credit he deserves, he was a supreme rider.

  • mick doohan is still the man to beat

  • There are Rossi fans. And then there are us Schwantz fans.

    34 FOREVER!

  • @EJ25RUN Rossi is a Schwantz fan to :)

  • @EJ25RUN different eras -therefore we can be both - and Hailwood and Ago ( though of the same era ) how could one ever not be awe-struck with both those crazy s.o.b.'s? The Doctor's achievements speak for themselves - now you tell me you wouldn't just love to see him make a full recovery , sort out the Ducati and kick Lorenzo ' s ass for a 9th title?

  • @andreisimion1000 It's just a matter of time, man, like he did with Yamaha! And man, even in 1991 Doohan was already so great!

  • @EJ25RUN VR46 is a Schwantz fan....

  • @Erkal2006 I have a photo of Rossi at what has to be the ago of 10 on a mini bike with a Schwantz replica helmet.

  • @EJ25RUN Your point being???

  • @EJ25RUN pretty sure Rossi is one of you Schwantz fans too :)

  • @EJ25RUN Kevin Schwantz is a Valentino Rossi fan :)

  • @EJ25RUN Kevin Schwantz is a Valentino Rossi fan :)

  • One of the best races ever. And Schwantz was a genius at Suzuka.

  • wonderful memories, I seem to still smell the stink of burnt oil. my drug.

  • wonderful memories, I seem to still smell the stink of burned oil. my drug.

  • Beau spectacle ! ! !

  • Best video ever.

    That's real racing.

  • Excellent! Thanks for posting this. Rainey, Schwantz and Doohan, were the perfect trio & really were gripping to watch. Such a shame after Rainey's accident. But Schwantz and Doohan still kept the GP interesting. I think it went flat for the years following Schwanz's retirement. After that, Doohan went on to win again and again unchallenged, and always with a huge lead Cont.....

  • ..... Cont - Watched up close Doohan had such a smooth technique. I never got to see Schwantz other than on tv, but he always had what it took to entertain. Thier last season was the best of the GP for me, especially the last three races which were gripping to the end. I don't have many heros but these are the guys.

  • Great Race! Many thanks for the video :)

  • Absolut in accord with you! Motegi is a shit. Suzuka forever!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I will forever miss the sound of those sweet buzzing 2 stroke.. :(

  • @drowsky21 go and hear the modern GP 800's then, 3 times louder

  • only the best& high skill rider can win gp with suzuki......

  • subarasi

  • hai

  • Exciting!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Exelent

  • classics.

  • what a manouver! lol

  • wow! fantastic riders!

  • Fantastic post thanks! Watch Revvin Kevin drift it out of Spoon on the last lap hehe

The laws of physics were always suspended for Kevin on the anchors of course, still miss the road going Pepsi replica RG500 I had back then, and even with half the horsepower of the real thing scaring meself shitless even pottering around on it lol

Fully agree about the loss of Suzuka, and I'd add the loss of other great tracks like Salzburgring, Spa, the old Assen...

  • salzburgring, what a great track that was, when they used to shortcut the chicane and pebbledash each other with rocks,up there with suzuka, great!

  • Thanks for posting!
