Maybe Doherty is hoping some of Mavers songwriting chops will rub off on him by osmosis. That dude can't write a catchy melody if his drugs depended on it. Mavers was a smack-head with talent whereas Doherty's just a smackhead

Fame is a strange thing. If there is real substance behind it... really memorable and great songs... then it just keeps growing and growing and growing. Lee Mavers.. if you're reading this, I swear you can go out on tour ANYTIME, and probably anywhere in the world, and you will have an audience.
