the giant list at the left of the screen. it has so many different sounds on it. they are under the headings such as GUITAR, DRUM, BASS, Hi-Hat, piano, brass, just click and it drops down to a list. then they have samples of other music that other artists have created also. if you don't have a list on your screen then you have to go to view and find the sample bar. it should pop up on the screen after you click on it. if this doesn't work then click on your help menu it should help out.

the best way i've found to do it is to use alot of different taps and hi hats and things like this to fill the background. it makes the beat sound complete with less gaps and it flows together. and just start to put things down and it will come together eventually if you know what your doing. i'll try to get some of my examples posted up sometime. oh and also don't be afraid to spend and hour or so on just one sound. it will be worth it

@bobbyclassikrecords. This guy does have a good point. Fruityloops is great for kids and people just starting out, but it's not something to be taken seriuosly. After all it is called Fuityloops. You don't HAVE to know how to play any instrument to be able to make an "all right" beat on Fruityloops. However, knowing how music works and how to play an istrument does change things a great deal. Bottom line: to make good music you have to natural talent and you have to know how music works.
