I did 9 hours when I was 20yo but couldnt continue at the time. I'm 31 now and have returned to get my pilots licence. King schools is right, once you have been at the controls of a plane you are changed forever. Being a able to fly is something I am proud of and has changed my personal and career life for the better. It was the first time I found I can do anything that I want to with persistence and knowlege. Once you rotate off the runway and feel that plane moving in the wind you never return
I know exactly what he is talking about. Though I am only 17 with 4.5 hours of flight time, I carry myself more professionally when I go to school or to the local airport. It is like you see how pilots carry themselves, and it encourages you to be the same way. (AKA- role model)
I think its a good idea to buy King's material even if your flight school doesn't offer their curriculum only because they cover some very important points on safety that schools are more lax sometimes: what if you have engine failure over mountain terrain (famous airgator founder amir tirosh died from it), or if you have engine failure over water...or vaccum pump failure in IFR...these are survival techniques you will learn from their DVD/CD...highly recommended!

"Over-view Perspective"... I agree! A positive side-effect of flight as PIC (Pilot In Command).

This is an excellent short video; it is very enlightening but very simple.

Alot of flying schools use the King Schools courses. Especially the "Cleared for Takeoff" private pilots course.
I love the courses. So clear and easy to understand.

Same here. I always get excited to fly on airliners, I fly all the time too. I get, equally excited, when flying smaller planes too! :)
