So I extended my visit with my parents after the holidays, and have spent that time watching HGTV almost exclusively. My additude went from, like: "Oh, so we're not going to change the channel after 2 hours of this? We're not even going to see what else is on?", to "OMG! That new show starts this week! Book my schedule around it! Watch ALL the re-runs!". House Hunters International is probably my favourite show as well, and Mike Holmes is my 2nd favourite host after a younger, more handsome host

You don't know for sure. Trust isn't about knowing for certain. It's about trusting, believing, hoping. We decide as individuals what information to use for gauging someone/something's authenticity. For me, I have faith that if you and Hank were to promote a product, you probably have a genuine appreciation for it. I would base this assumption on your past works, videos, charitable works, etc. Of course I could always be wrong, but trust is about more than being right or wrong about something.

My father was insistent on not getting cable boxes for a few months and thusly I was left with few channels besides HGTV for those months. I learned that HGTV never has bad shows on except between 2 and 10 AM; it's always good reliable television. While I agree with your top 3 choices I think Property Virgins and Income Property are just awesome-er shows. Watching people paint the front of a house gets boring after a while.
