I think the idea is to look at the red numbers (the Ch. - Channels). They show you the exact position of the code. (I only thought about this after seeing the right code).
If you go to the radio, it flashes red when you go to numbers 1, 3, 5 and 9. I was annoyed because I figured it would work, since the hint was so clear, but it ends up you have to do it out of order. So annoying.

when u change the freqency in front the numbers flash in red, just try combinations...
