That was definitely Puskas participating in a publicity bit for Arsenal, who was his favorite club as a boy (he idolized Cliff Bastin, according to biographical accounts).
@08DENMAN I reckon that this was probably filmed around 1971. The reason I say that is because Puskas was the manager of Panathanaikos when they played Ajax in the European Cup Final, which was held at Wembley that year. Arsenal had also just won the Double that year, so no doubt would have been happy for more publicity. And rather poignantly, it was the year before the great Gordon Banks had his car crash. Therefore, Puskas would have been about mid forties having been born in 1927.
LOL........Fellas, quite clearly the "playing for Arsenal" title was supposed to be tongue in cheek! The comments below suggest some gulping of chill pills are seriously required! :-)
Anyway, it still looked a magical piece of skill, training or not!
What a lovely goal against one of the greatest keepers ever,,,and he did'nt even have a chance of saving it!!!!! The Greatest player ever and always will be!!!!! A True Legend of the game!!!!! Nyudodjek Bekeben!!!!! Ocsi Bacsi emleked orokke Megorizzuk!!!!! Thank u 4 everything Ferenc!!!!!
