Told them - truth - that my sub was smelling strongly of wooden smoke.

Then they sent me a full system for free - without asking for the old one - In other words - HAPPY DAYS.

The sub somewhat got better - and stopped smelling.

In reality - the new sub never smelt of wood - So there must have been something which didn't go quite to plan. Thus, I was right - but lucky at the same time :D!

@totallydubbed Your review is where I started :) It wasn't really a large room in which I tested them, but they weren't setup in surround, just all speakers in front. So the surround effect will definitely be a lot better in my house! Can't wait to buy them and hook it all up to my pc and ps3 via optical cables ^_^

In other words you can have your PC playing and your Xbox playing but you will have to change the input to hear one or the other

@KILLCOMBO well to be honest mate, I have no idea about those sound cards. Although I can tell you from experience with my Xonar D1 that it does increase the sound quality by a fraction, and gives you LOADS of options on how to "fine tune" your sound, but is it worth £70? I don't know...sound cards and earphones have always been more expensive for what they offer.

This will give you 2x 3 outputs, which will allow you to connect both 5.1 systems to 1 green jack.

@Zaim123 iv'e heard from many sources that 3.5mm analogue is better to run through the sound card. As optical bypassed the processing of the sound card.

I could be wrong. Tell me if i am.

My sound card: Xonar D1 from ASUS. It has SPIDIF out. I think that's what it is :P

I use the optical btw for my xbox 360 :)

I have the X-FI Titanium when I use the optical out to my av receiver I use the DTS Connect with that the EQ and stuff still work. not sure if its the same for your sound card. Your sound card however supports "Dolby Digital Live" similar to DTS connect but from Dolby labs. Try using that if you have a spare optical cable.

On board sound. Although isn't that great. But better than your average laptop!

Has component cables compatible + VGA for your PC.

Google it. It really is a greatttttt screen!
