  • Might be of interest.. I have a 1953 CZ-52 which is chambered for that round.. The mag has be pulled out of that weapon as well, as it has a tensioning spring on the back of the frame. It also has a slide bottom as the conversion has. TT mag maybe? Another reason for the conversion, was likely availability of ammo.. 7.62x25 is still all over that part of the world, with a hotter loading for machine guns.

  • i know it looks unsafe but i dont think that the magazine well being shaved down would make it dangerous to shoot. i figure if it was gonna blow up it would have whenever it was shot before. this is a very cool piece of history. i would love to see it fire.

  • im always happy to hear that these kind of conversions were probably not reliable for the enemy

  • @SacoreyRugger Me too. Thanks for watching!

  • @MrColt45acp how did it end up back in the states?

  • Don't shoot it, ok? Firstly, modern .30 Tokarev was very high on pressure chamber, and I think not even standard .45 that this thing can handle. So probably, let's keep it as a gift from the communist.

  • so boring

  • Cool video. I read about this last year in Shotgun News

  • Hi Mr Colt,

I enjoy the depth of your knowledge and your videos are a pleasure to watch.

I hope you are having fun putting the content together and to educate the world.

I’m looking forward to the next episode.

  • Would love to see one fire but nobody would wanna shoot such a collectors item :)

  • What an awesome find!!

  • Somebody had alot of time on their hads to do that . A keeper for sure !

  • Great video, keep 'em coming. I've long been a fan of the 1911 yet I learn a bunch of new stuff with every video.

  • If you are going to shoot it, yer in luck, 7.62x25 is dirt cheap!!!!!! 1200 rounds for under $100 on J&G Sales site.

  • ★★★★★

  • Does that dent inhibit ejection? Have you shot it?

  • @ammosmith no, I have not shot it.

  • @MrColt45acp No wonder you haven't shot shot it. How many shots will this gun endure with so much material removed? :) Especially 7,62 x 25 is very "agressive" for guns that are not primarily designed for this caliber.

    THX for video, very interesting!!!!

  • @MrColt45acp could you ???

  • @MrColt45acp If I was you, I don't know if I would shoot it. In fact, I know I don't want to shoot it. Magazine is allowed to rubble around, doesn't fit in all the way, magazine rubs the slide. I see bad things happening upon shooting that thing. Why would they go through all that trouble anyway?

  • Very resourceful...

  • Very interesting. I have never seen or heard of this conversion. Neat little piece of history.

  • That other video is doing well! I'm sure very FEW people have heard of such an oddball conversion before. -- Definitely shows how resourceful people can get. Thumbs up as always!

  • Great vid MrC, i realy digg how u get into all the small details on these firearms and great camera work, thank you hve a frand weekend

  • I know the 1911s shown on your fascinating channel are part of a collection, practically museum sized it seems! I just hope some of them see the light of day and get shot occasionally.

  • If I keep watching your videos I might actually learn something. Very interesting. Thanks these videos belong on the History channel! Thank you!

  • @Mr45Bullitt Spot on Mr45B, so many great facts, interesting info and yes they should be on the History channel, have a great weekend sir
