They have just released a new album - "Wild Herbs" ("Dikie Travy" in russian). It is very different from all the previous, but stil beautiful and really magic.

is there somewhere i can get ahold of an actual cd version of this? mp3s are okay when you just like bits and pieces of an artists work, but i love everything i've heard melnitsa do. i've already tried all the usual places for this, amazon, itunes, half . com. ebay seemed to have one thing but i am unsure if it was actually a melnitsa album. is there some well-regulated site that won't gyp me where i could buy a cd? Furthermore, are they ever planning to import? I can't read russian.

There's a number of Russian websites that sell mp3 music online, do some google research and I am sure you will find a few. The band in this video is called Mel'nitsa, or Melnitsa (Мельница), they have several albums out. Hellawes, the femail soloist and author of many of the band's songs also has a few albums under her own name, she sings in Russian, English and Gaelic. She is amazingly talented and some of her songs are absolutely breathtakingly beautiful.
