Whoa. This is impressive. This is on a much higher level than our western psychiatry which it seems to me is only interested in illness and have no interest in healing. Stay away from pill administering people in white coats and acquaint yourself with native American thinking that's what I say. No wonder people in industrial countries are depressed, they've lost touch with the cyclic nature of life.

I was not raised in the Indian culture but somehow it is in me from my grandmothers. Hearing this teaching gives me understanding that I had in part but it was not connected. I have watched the clips three times trying to completely understand. Now, believing that I am more closely learning the full meaning of the medicine wheel you have given me a depth of understanding that I have not had until now. But I can see what you are saying about this society as a whole. I guess that it is true that most of our society is composed of "professionals" and part of being a professional is to be separate from emotions and spirituality. Otherwise it is considered to be "unethical." Really enjoyed this clip, thanks again. One other thing, with writing an english paper one is to include the pathos, logos, and ethos. I believe those are all greek words that provide logic, emotions, and creditablity..

I really liked this video. It definitely heightened my awareness of what the medicine wheel is and how to apply it's teachings to everyday life. Thank you for this knowledge. I did however have difficulty totally accepting your comparison of Native American language and it being the only one that is circular in form. Or at least in comparison to academic language. In my English class we were taught that the begining of the paper (the intro.) should always be in connection to the conclusion.
