Accounting always gets overrated by the media. They only tell you about the success stories. I'm a CPA with an MBA and only make $38k here in Florida. It took 6 years to become a CPA and it was the biggest mistake of my life.
Can you help me by giving some guidelines. How accounting is involved in banking jobs? What types of jobs do an accountant may have in bank? For a bank type job what further studies are needed?
@7ifrah Accounting is valuable in all businesses, including banking. I suggest you go to dol.gov and search for the "Occupational Outlook" handbook. You will be able to search for career info about any job that interests you. Word of warning - banking is under pressure because of the Great Recession and starting a career in the field might be a little risky.
