He did come off as an asshole on UTF, but hes a good guy. I think it was the stress of bein cooped up in that house for so long with so many conflicting personalities. Just watch 'The Real World' a couple times, and you'll know.

This is a good choke, but I wouldnt want to turn away in that position. I would definitely turn into him. You can short shoulder circle to get your elbow out, then pivot your hips to try and pull guard. You may end up back in sidecontrol, but at least u wont tap.

@Celphinx i know...i sometimes hate the fuck out of demo vids, what else are we gonna do with our time. most of these are good to know...but i think it's the constant layering of repetitive drills that will make someone pull off something that they learned in class. most of the time...in mma that is...it's the elementary moves that win the fight. kick, punch, rear naked, armbar.

it's like why would I show you some shit in theory...i don't know. i'm pretty much a minimalist.

I use this ALL THE TIME! great sneaky move. sometimes you don't even need to let him roll over or even lock it up like an anaconda. sometimes just squeezing your arm an shoulder into his neck is enough. drop your chest as close to the mat as possible, sprawl, trap the arm, and squeeze the shit outa him.

Great move. It also works if you have the headside arm already cleared from side mount. Just shoot the arm closer to the head under the neck, start walking around, and lock up the darce.

the only problem with this move is that it takes some pretty sick execution. lots of transitions, and in the last transition, you have to trap from rolling over at the correct time to avoid from being over powered. difficult, but effective with solid technique
