I get a kick out of people who will not accept any ideas outside what scientists tell us today. I mean we once were told earth was flat. They had it al figuerd out back then didn't they? Well, we got it all figured out today too don't we? All our fancy toys in space and the giantic brains that built them know all. I mean really, we know more about space than we do about our oceans. Ok, you flat earthers keep on following the leader. Im not saying this theory is right, yet we can't even ponder?
So , if oil is from dinos and such, where would the oil come from in our oil rigs in the ocean? I mean no dinos in the oceans, how would the oil get there. I get the feeling oil comes from with in the earth not dinos. If this is true then what of the so called peak oil theory? Oh yes greed.
GENTLEMEN.... NASA has found tectonic GROWTH on the MOON. Our MOON?
YEP! Spreading and Growth, and easily within the last 50 Million Years. AND they're admitting it!
Go to youtube and look up Recent Geological activity on the moon . Science and NASA has said the MOON is Geologically DEAD. I have said the moon is ongoing Geologically ACTIVE!
I am right. They were WRONG. "THEY"?
All of science! One down. Watch the shucking and jiving, guys!
Well, assuming this is true, why is our growth accelerating? Why haven't we been able to detect the increase in gravity via a simple drop test like Newton? Things would be falling faster than 9.8 meters/second. Would as easy way to test this theory is to clock something falling with an extremely sensitive device and run the experiment oh, every few years and see if the force of gravity is getting stronger? Also weathering hides Mar's old subduction zones
@UncensoredRhett No water was over the ground. Water was always there. It's why there was only marine life for so long. It's also why some ''fish'' had to move out of the water. They didn't magicly move out. They were force to because the place were they were was loosing it's water to the ''oceans''.
a couple of things... the earth is generally thought to have formed in space due to accretion, then by definition it wouldn't have always been the same size.
and if you accept the alternative that the earth stayed the same size and all the continents were in effect clumped together on one side with all the water on the other, what made that happen?
@andielines The pangea is physicly impossible. Water's basic physical property would force it go over part of that continent and leave a second continent on the opposite side of the Earth.
@jamdown3000 there is no extra matter. its the magma that coolsdown. its has a higher Volume when solid. that's what's breaking apart the upper crust.
I think your missing one point, when the earth was smaller it would have been covered in water! Just as ancient text describe, and as it expanded the water settled in the low places and the continents appeared.
there are soooo many things wrong with this video one cannot figure out where to start. Duck-bill platypus with dinosaurs? Magma and water from where (just like TheCreda mentions) Is the earth now hollow? Amazing, simply amazing
@iulslion exactly. well maybe the voice over guy just isnt good with explaining it. anyway, the general idea makes allot of sense...but I dont have to time of motivation to confirm it with my own understanding. medicine is my passion, ill leave the physics to the physicists.
interesting theory, but where would new magma come from? neal sideskirts this issue with a questionable dialectic of 'growing' versus 'expansion', the latter which deems a consensual scientific lie. so much for conservation of matter, i guess he thinks that atoms reproduce, hee hee
And in the Pangea theory only under water plates subduct and whole continents float over the subduction zones. Wait, they are the heavier colder mass and should be doing the subduction. The earth is measuredly expanding at the equator from space and gps ocean bouys. Dessenters are blaming it on glacier melt and centrifugal forces at the equator. BS guys. The pacific plate is moving west and isn't subducting on Asia's side. With each movement event 28 hrs later asia's side quakes not subducts
so you stole a video from neal that is a big lie? wow. and he calls it growing not expanding. this is the dumbest thing i have ever heard of. I have argued this with neal who is crazy and this theory or hypothesis really, conflicts with the laws of physics and he just says yeah but WHAT IF. Those are big what ifs Neal. this also conflicts with the big bang theory if you get down to it. just ask NEAL! the non scientist pushing "scientific" ideas.
You are not considering that there is a part of the Earth's crust that is disappearing in subduction areas (e.g. the Pacific subduction areas of the Philippines). You are just focusing on growth
Why are our land masses the oldest? Our Sun is growing(so were told by scientists). ,why not planets? We do have a mini sun at our core. What of the big crack on mars and the basins. Mars is realitively smooth. What of mercury? Venus. We are told the solar system was formed all at once. Was it? What if the sun bleches out mass from time to time and planets slowly travel outward and expand? Yes, lots more questions needing proved or disproved.
@andjusticeforall2010 First of all, the sun is a hell of a lot different from the earth. The sun is an enormous amount of gas, which causes immense pressure in its core, which is full of hydrogen, and combines them to become helium, which causes the sun to expand (slowly). This is basic nuclear fusion.
The earth is a rocky planet, with a molten core made of metal. No nuclear fusion going on down there at all.
As for mountains, as the map spreads there is subduction that does push mountains up such as the rockies and those caused by india moving north. Does the subduction equal the spreading of the ocean floor? Was the earth smooth when it was'smaller'? Covered by water eventually from comets? Water moved into and filled the basins as the growth took place? Yes lots of question, now we need answers. I don't believe our scientists are as smart as they think.
Matter from the core is compacted, pressure is great, when matter rises from the core it expands. Also, how much matter has the earth gained from outter space, how many billions of tons of rock ice and such have been deposited here over billions of years. Was the earth a water world at one time? Are there fossiles from the west coast of America the same as east coast of Asia as are east coast of America and England/France? If so do all planets grow?
@andjusticeforall2010 The earth has gained a negligible amount of matter from space, at least in the way this theory would require, which is gradual growth.
Instead, the earth gained all of this during the beginning, when there were lots of asteroids and rocky bodies flying around the sun. The earth is a culmination of all these rocks, and was thusly formed 4.6 billion years ago. Slowly, in comparison to our lifespan, but quickly, relative to the earth's lifespan.
To all of you asking where the extra mass is coming from; You are assuming the earth is expanding because its gaining mass, but matter also expands as it becomes less dense.
Nope. Earth didn't grow. Continents shrank. And they were all underwater then. 'Cause if the earth was once much smaller and was all land - where was the water? Lots of missing mass there. Silly, silly theory.
@meleagrisfelis nope, no missing mass. it was just much more dense. internal pressure ignited a nuclear reaction in the core of the earth which forced the eventual expansion. before the expansion the planet was smaller, more dense and covered in water. just as ancient texts describe.
@iulslion What if the earthand all the planets actually where ejected from the sun? They would be formed with a molten core. Anything is possible. Our scientists seem to think they got it all right. i dont think so. We humans arent as smart as we would like to think....me included.
@meleagrisfelis please tell me, how the heck does a continent shrink? granite doesnt just go away, and it doesnt just move out of itself...or float around like wood on water. where is the logic?
@meleagrisfelis Why is it impossible that Earth absorbs matter, such as hydrogen, in order to create more water and mass? Planets are known to be quite absorbent, and the universe is filled with nutrition!
I think It's very good for student . In thailand Don' t have same video . It so bad for me and my friends because we must learn manythings ex. science in Youtube but It'n Thail language
@tikimandude112 Technically, this happened more than once. Due to tectonic plates, they separate and rejoin every once in awhile (comparative to the earth's lifespan), just usually in a different configuration. Pangea's the most well-known, but there've been more before that.
It happens because when they're all together, they gain a lot of warmth, and need to get away from each other and towards the cooler air above the sea. All explained by science :3
It seems to grow from nothing! like plants, life and any other existent living form grows. Here is how i see it. When a tree grows its starts from a seed, yet at the end of its life its massive. When the tree dies it adds more atom to the planet. This situation happening millions of times with all other life forms make our planet grow. At the beginning, most our surface was covered by water, lets say 99.99% and over time with the planet growing, the surface started to emerge. what do you think?
@humanequilibrium but still you need to explain where the mass comes from, plants get mass from nutrients and water and carbon dioxide (already on the planet), they take these things in. We can test to see if the earth has expanded or grown, we can measure ancient tidal sediment that shows the influence of the moon and thus shows changes in gravity, there hasn't been a change in gravity, the earth hasn't grown.
@rhubis hmmmmm well gravity had to have changed because the model that we have for the dinosaurs doesnt work. For instance T-Rex is to big to carry his body around so they say that t-Rex is a scavenger. That's simply bullshit! That meat machine is a carnivore! so if the planet was smaller and the gravity was less, the dinosaur model would work efficiently! what do you think?
@humanequilibrium Really? well evidence says that gravity was the same, and the t-rex very well might have been a scavenger much like a hyena (who have stronger jaws than lions), also the proportions on the leg bones show that no matter what gravity they were in they were not evolved for speed.
@rhubis interesting, well ill need to look into the leg bone issue. I'm just trying to defend a theory from the top of my head. I'm just a little fascinated at the concept and wanted to have a little fun with a few people debating this. I would like to do a little research on this subject. BTW you make perfect sense ;)
@humanequilibrium Apparently Neal Adams (if nealadamsdotcom is actually him) decided that i was just making things up even though i was citing from peer reviewed articles, he gave none of his own, no evidence at all actually, then blocked me and removed all my posts while insulting me...
@humanequilibrium i think you're an idiot. 1) plants gain mass from the earth not add, 2) the reason dinosaurs could get so big was because of higher oxygen levels, 3) t-rex in particular was large and powerful to intimidate predators that would kill for it.
@andyrihn1 It seems to grow from nothing! like plants, life and any other existent living form grows.
@crymum1981 So not division like an embryo instead the earth pumps blood to fill up hollows that makes it more rigid? No actually magma flows but it cannot be 'pumped' by the planet and even if it could then it would only be one section enlarging and then only for a while until it evens out again, Nasa have actually measured the earth and its not expanding.
@TheCyreda no, the author missed that point. when the earth was smaller it would covered in water. continental drift is a stupid theory, this actually makes sense. if anything about the evolution of celestial bodies you would see that. see the formation of stars, they contract and the expand.
you cannot draw stars into the comparison. Stars are hydrogen concentrations which expand when hydrogen is running out, because the amount of energy is coming out of the core with accelerating speeds. This earth growing -theory is biggest pile of shit i have ever seen, it has just TOO many problems with it. NUMBER 1 REASON this theory is already dumped into shit, is that we can see continental drifts EVERY SINGLE DAY HAPPENING! DO you even know how earthquakes form?
@TheCyreda I do not KNOW how these things happed neither do you. I have heard al lthe theories, yes, they are old and outdated. Although I am open minded...I think this theory is onto something, because it fills gaps in current theories. It makes allot of sense, logically. And the continental drift, doesnt. Just referring to and old theory as fact is not good enough to debu this one...sorry. try again. The expansion theory could just as easily explain earthquakes and volcanoes.
@TheCyreda and just saying its not because its running out of hydrogen. its turning hydrogen into helium and creating more mass so stars must expand to keep the density low so it dosent implode. but i totally agree with you this expansion theory is bull shit and iulslion needs to shut up and do his homework on astronomy and physics of celestial bodies in space and mass and matter and density all correspond to prove that this is completely wrong =)
@lokipup1 oh you are obviously a astronomy and physics major. hahaha omg your funny. you dont know what you are talking about. i love people like you.
@TheCyreda this is not the theory explained. it has already been proven, the book has been written. go and read it, then make an informed opinion. I am just playing with ideas, im not an expert on this theory. but it is obviously more believable than the status quo. however a sheep like you cant see past the herd. but that doesnt bother me.
@iulslion ight the earth cannot have a nucleare reaction. 1 the earth is not large enough to have the mass to colide hydrogen atoms together to form helium 2 the earth docent have hydrogen in its core it hase molten rock and iron. when massive stars explode the iron atoms clump together first and if earth did have nuclear fusion going on it would be way to hot to sustain life. so dont start talking about nuclear fusion... it can NOT happen in earth!!!!!!
@lokipup1 dude I duno what your talking about. I never suggested a fusion reaction, I was talking about fission...like splitting of heavy elements? so your whole rant is pretty off topic. Anyway, that was just my guess...I later found out from somebody who actually knows, (not like yourself) that expansion is more likely due to pair production. to you I would suggest, stop copying what other people say because it doesnt make you sound smart. you fkn troll. gtfo
@iulslion and stars do not contract they only expand until they implode in on them selfs due to the dense weight of creating elements. if earth had nuclear fission going on everyday the gravity would change due to the increasing density of creating heavier elements. another reason why expansion theory is bull.. gravity if the earth always had the same mass then when it is smaller its more destiny and the moon would be a lot closer or not there because it crashed back into earth.
@lokipup1 umm "stars do not contract" blablabla, "until they implode" haha you moron. you just contradicted yourself. "gravity if the earth always had the same mass" learn english, and then wake the hell up. you dont know that, your just talking shit. so again. gtfo. lol and my fav part "and the moon would be a lot closer"...than what? than it was before? you were there? you know where it was before? trololol
Neal Adams does not tuch upon a subject of nature of tectonic movements and magmatic processes. The idea is interesting, and it may even be true, but that strait-forward denial of current scientifical concensus does him no favor. The first followers of tectonic plate movement idea were also totally denying the geosyncline idea. But now it's obvious, that either of that exists. That's it.
I should say, the mechanics of subduction process is hugely profaned in this video, with just a few words. The ocean crust is NOT "SINKING" into and against the magma, that's heavier and more dense, BY ITSELF, but, on the contrary, it's PULLED under the continental crust BY the subducting MAGMA, and MELTS. That's why the oceanic crust is so young, it's constantly renewing itself. And continents are constantly crashing against each other by opposite sides, that's why they match here and there.
@VasilyKiryanov This comment makes me proud. I'm glad there are people like this around to correct when other people make mistakes, and put it so eloquently. I salute you! :D
Well, yes, stardust and meteorites falling all the time make Earth heavier, and, shurely, the planet is expanding. But none the less it's unwise to ban the subduction process totally. Apart from subduction, there is an obduction sometimes, and that's how Andes appeared - oceanic sedimentary rocks folded many times, overturned and raised 5 km high. And why are volcanoes active and earthquakes happen not only on rifts, but in subdiction zones, if there is no subduction?
The growing theory is totally acceptable for me. Where was all the water? Omg, use your brains. Why you find the first living water creatures mold on todays dryland? All land must have been under the one mass ocean at the begining of life. Earth grows like a watered seed. The consistency of the primordial ocean also depends on temperature... steam can float in the atmosphere too... so there are lots of place for that water you guys missing. Core density and gravity must have changed too!
I love this expanding earth theory. It's sooo absurd it's awesome!
Matter magically gets made in... the core?! And scientists need to hold this "secret" from us to.... preserve what.... The economy? haha
The time lines with actual species divergence studies doesn't add up. You can track a shrinking earth back a few hundred million years, maybe to Pangea, but what about Vaalbara, Kenorland, Columbia, Rodinia, and then finally Pangaea. the earth would be TINY 4.5 billion years ago.
So where the hell did all the water come from? If the Earth's volume was getting smaller... then the continents must've been flooded by the water that eventually became oceans. Also, if the Earth was smaller, then it must have been spinning faster due to the conservation angular momentum. A day would be shorter.
ahhh who cares.....the earth is gonna swell up in about 5 billion years and destory the sun......nothing can stop that!?!?.................what???............i thought april's fools day was in....well april....isnt that "why" they call it "april" fools........oh i get it now......THIS GUY IS JUST PULLING OUR LEGS oh he doesnt really believe in it....he just wants to see how many people would believe in such bulshit.....totally makes since now.....another one of God's test....glad i passed
@NovaGypsy lol yeah i know right......just so you know....i dont buy this at all.....this video is going to be notimated as one of the most ridiculous ideas i have ever heard of.....
dinosaurs and marsupials 300 millions years ago? come on! I guess christians fundamentalists can make something better than this. Why there is so much secrecy? who cares if earth expandsa or not? many people wouldnt care a bit about thay, soo stupid.
this guy is using the creation form the bible to come up with the ridiculous theory.........you have gotten to be kidding me......i cant wait to get the word out on this clip.........i see alot of pwnage coming.......shit.....im gonna do one myself.........this is what ignorance is.....this very video is the defination of ignorance........you want to talk about the reality of the bible.....well guess it doesnt get more real then this......wow how did we get this wrong......wow
@TheeJediSmurf this is one persons view of what it means Tony, it does not mean that it is fact. So if you want to pwan then do it to this person not the Bible. Use your head Tony. You smoke way to much weed, youve lost all common sense. So because this one person says something on his view then your going to blame all Bible believers? that is ignorance to its core but i guess thats what you atheist use to make baseless arguments since u dont have any proof of your own.
and i might add...doesnt the most ridiculous book ever written say that the waters were first...Genesis 1:6.....but your saying that it was all land first and as the earth expanded and the oceans filled in the gaps? or did i miss understand you...dude...can i have whatever your on.....i mean ive done a cpl of shroms in my time but i have never had a trip like you are on right now.......or maybe i should thnk twice....you gotta hold of a bad bad batch of shroms....ahh might need ur head examined
@TheeJediSmurf wow your calling the Bible the most rediculous book ever written? After the hours and hours of time Ive spent talking to you about this subject and thats how you disrespect the Bible? You havent even read the Bible and have no idea whats in it except what you find in other peoples posts.firmament is an expanse of the waters Tony..it expanded the waters from eachother. due some research then comment.
@TheeJediSmurf did I say I was buying inot this theory? NO..my comment was on your ridicule of the Bible & how you called it rediculous even after the amount of time we have spent talking about it & how you have agreed that there is some facts that even you didnt know was in it were true. Why dont you read a& understand the statement before you ask stupid questions like. "are you buying into this theory?" & figure out what Im actually saying.
what am i watching.......are you kidding me........wouldnt this be testable very very easly......i mean come on dude......are you saying that the earth was smaller yesterday (or millions of yeaars ago whatever) then it is today......just by the tiniest amount......dude...think think think.......your theory easly fails.......and can be proved with just a piar of sticks, feet, a sunny day, of an a measuring stick.........well just ask Eratosthene how to figure out the circumference of the earth
@TheeJediSmurf what proof do you have that the Bible isnt real Mr Athesit, since you seem to have all the answers show us your proof. Oh wait you already told me you dont have any.
I don´t remember ANY bible story about expanding earth, could you teel where that is, I went to catholic school and they wouldnt dare to present such stupid theor. The bible, as far as I know is not an instrument to explain the earth and the universe, science IS. Believe in god, read the bible, but don´t try to measure and proof spiritual thing because YOU KNOW that doesn´t make any sence.
I really like this theory. But one question. How does the eart get the materials to grow? I think i mightve answered for myself. Correct me if im wrong. The earth's core is extremely dense and it is pushing outward.
Also. Where does all the water come from? Did the earth gain oxygen and hydrogen while it evolved?
First recorded mention was by no less a personage than Charles Darwin who thought it up on the Beagle, but abandoned it within a year of returning to England (in 1835).
It's never had many adherents, so you could say it has never been abandoned since it was never really accepted.
But if you want a date when it was abandoned I would say "1970s". There was a lot of opposition to Plate Tectonics until then.
... Nice! I like hearing new theories! Now matter what it's about! :3 I don't know if this would be compatible with physics, but maybe there is something weird inside our planet, a mass producing force! I honestly am not sure about this whole thing though. But it dosn't matter because we went there back then
This is a silly idea, this would be true only if the Earth were a fuck Balloon! So you say they want us to believe that the continents move as if on a greasy skillet... yet you want us to believe the Earth is fucking made of rubber. Where did all this Mass come from? Where did the water come from? where did all the rock from inside the Earth come from? You are an idiot!
@artblack01 Science indicates that most of the planet was covered in water at one time. Havent you heared we "all came from the sea?" The water was covered in ocean, and as the oceans were formed from the land splitting apart, the water filled them. Try firin' up a few brain cells before you call someone an idiot.
@SpadaccinoLuciano You really don't have a clue what that entails do you? Do you have any idea what mass is? Mass is the amount of matter an object has, this mass produces a gravitational pull which if the planet were the size suggested in the beginning of the expanding Earth idea (not a true theory) then there would not be enough mass to hold on to the atmosphere. Example: the moon. "Try firin' up a few brain cells" Ditto. Try taking PHYSICS.
@artblack01 Physics is constantly finding faults and new theories with itself. You seem remarkable unintellegent, is that why you are hiding behind physics and men and women of actual intellegence who have contributed to it? The moon could of been drifiting along, and, coming upon a correctly sized earth, became trapped in it's orbit. BTW, any "idea" suggesting a new way in science is indeed a theory. Have you tried hitting your face to get your braint o work?
@SpadaccinoLuciano You seem to accuse me of being an unintelligent but you haven't done anything to prove me wrong, the intelligent thing to do would be to show me evidence or at least state where this idea could possibly be true. As for your comment on Physics, you will also have to prove that too because you have no idea what you are talking about. Evidence would be nice, rather than being a hypocrite. And you have no evidence.
@artblack01 To the contrary, I counter your idiotic ramblings with ideas and evidence. You claim to be fluent in physics, but seem to lack common sense that you should put first. Look at a map. Or history.
@SpadaccinoLuciano It makes no sense and you really are mentally ill. All of you people. IT IS PHYSICALLY IMPOSSIBLE FOR THE EARTH TO EXPAND IN SUCH A WAY. Let me put it to you another way. I want you to take a rock and make it into a boulder. If you can do this without using other rocks then I will believe that this is possible. But to go from the mass you are talking about to the mass the Earth is now is completely cartoonish and IMPOSSIBLE!!!!!
@SpadaccinoLuciano I've been into these subjects longer than you've been alive, kid, GO TO SCHOOL! Prove this idea is valid theory. If you can do that and not get laughed right out of college then I'll concede. You'd probably also win a Nobel prize.
/watch?v=QDqskltCixA
These are the facts based not just on plate tectonics evidence but geological and paleontological evidence. EVIDENCE not speculation, assumption, or supposition. Which is what this argument is based on.
@artblack01 College is rather useless, it just lets more people tell you how to think. I have no intention of ever going to college, and knowing that you have disturbs me greatly. I've presented evidence, if presented theories. Go be a good little school boy, now.
@SpadaccinoLuciano College is a place that shows you how to think doesn't tell you how. So I guess not knowing how to think must be fun. To have NOTHING in that little head of yours, no way of telling if someone is telling you the truth or lying to you. No way of finding out if something is possible or impossible or just plain fantasy. Yeah, it's good to be as stupid as you.
@SpadaccinoLuciano Knowledge is power my friend. If you don't know the truth then you will believe every bullshit story you hear, as long as some idiot can demonstrate it in some great CGI video, huh? If you had gone to college they show you how to know the difference between truth and lies, not just with useless facts but with experiments and measurements... but that's all lost to you.... You are the slave the powers that be are looking for. Congrats.
@SpadaccinoLuciano If you're not going to get an education you might as well go to a library and look up the truth, why not experiment... prove your expanding Earth theory, take a straw to a rock and blow has hard as you can, maybe you can expand the rock with your mighty brain powers.
@artblack01 this is indeed observing a phenomenon. The Earth was connected on all sides, and the continental drift theory is full of massive holes. Just as Galileo observed the phenonmenon of the Earth orbiting the sun, which upset the general idea of the time, as the Expanding Earth theory does.
@SpadaccinoLuciano Plate tectonics has been proven fact. Planets can't grow like that. The volcanic and archeological EVIDENCE proves this theory not just wrong but silly to the point of being an idiotic statement of the mentally deficient.
@SpadaccinoLuciano Further more, the tectonic theory makes even more sense if you think of it this way... what comes out of a volcano? Lava. Where did this Lava come from? The inside of the Earth. What is lava? Molten Rock. Why is it Molten? The pressure of the mass of the Earth causing the rock to get hot enough to melt. Why does the moon not have Volcanoes? Not big enough. If the surface of the Earth is on a sea of molten rock wouldn't it be pushed around?
Generally, the scientific community finds no evidence to support the expansion of the Earth theory.
Measurements with modern high-precision geodetic techniques show that the Earth is not currently increasing in size to within a measurement accuracy of 0.2 mm per year. Furthermore, the motions of tectonic plates and subduction zones measured by a large range of geological, geodetic and geophysical techniques supports plate tectonics
Examinations of data from the Paleozoic and Earth's moment of inertia suggest that there has been no significant change of earth's radius in the last 620 million years
well you all.... first of all the earth must be growing. It's matter collected together to make itself through gravity...when did that STOP happening.. the Earth is much like a ball of dough, as it gets bigger the heat core gets hotter and the crust looks just like a loaf of bread...cooking.
@taisticky You are not an educated and experienced scientist. If I were you, I'd attempt to educate myself as much as possible, but refrain from answering as if it is the absolute. It's a debate, and science never claims to know the answer, but to work harder to solidify theories as much as possible.
The continents were joined before the Tower of Babel. I imagine it would have taken place something like this, when the people were scattered -- just not all the "millions of years ago" stuff.
if you see just like is pointed out in the pangaea theory that the pacific is shrinking according to these charts and that the atlantic is growing which is already common knowledge but if the earth is expanding shouldnt the pacific be expanding to?
My interest dropped immediately upon things sounding all conspiracy-ish. When you make your self sound like a victim, it no longer sounds like science, it sounds like bunk.
So if the earth is growing, What's the cause? Great pressure at it's core? Which means 1 day the earth will explode like a star RIGHT? Also from what your saying, we would not have Earhquakes, but we do! One other problem is if the earth was growing that much, the moon would be pulled on so great it would colide with the earth. No subduction, No Earthquakes, No Mountains, Very little life, PERIOD!
Earthquakes will be more prominent on a growing earth then one that doesn't grow. Mountains are simply continents that have flattened because of the diameter increasing which forces up mountains ranges in the wake like rippling paper. The moon is also growing in proportion to the earths growth
subduction is only a small function of our planet as compared to growth.
Nonsense. A) If there is no subduction, why are there mountain ranges near fault lines? B) If there were no oceans 70 million years ago then there would be no rain and how could plants/animals survive without rain? C) If the mass of the earth is inconstant than its place in the solar system would also be inconstant. D) Hot spot volcanoes would not form chains, they would remain stationary and yet Hawaii is there. I could probably go on but why, this theory makes no sense.
there are lot of contrary theories that scare main stream scientists. Just like contrary economists scare main stream media. it's all bought & paid for. funding & a good life is the name of the game.
If the earth could expand like that, wouldnt it become a disk because of the centripetal force that acts on it when it turns?

GENTLEMEN.... NASA has found tectonic GROWTH on the MOON. Our MOON?
YEP! Spreading and Growth, and easily within the last 50 Million Years. AND they're admitting it!
Go to youtube and look up Recent Geological activity on the moon . Science and NASA has said the MOON is Geologically DEAD. I have said the moon is ongoing Geologically ACTIVE!
I am right. They were WRONG. "THEY"?
All of science! One down. Watch the shucking and jiving, guys!
nealadamsdotcom 4 days ago
Well, assuming this is true, why is our growth accelerating? Why haven't we been able to detect the increase in gravity via a simple drop test like Newton? Things would be falling faster than 9.8 meters/second. Would as easy way to test this theory is to clock something falling with an extremely sensitive device and run the experiment oh, every few years and see if the force of gravity is getting stronger? Also weathering hides Mar's old subduction zones

so.. water magically came out of no where?
UncensoredRhett 1 week ago
@UncensoredRhett No water was over the ground. Water was always there. It's why there was only marine life for so long. It's also why some ''fish'' had to move out of the water. They didn't magicly move out. They were force to because the place were they were was loosing it's water to the ''oceans''.
itsinmyvein 1 week ago
a couple of things... the earth is generally thought to have formed in space due to accretion, then by definition it wouldn't have always been the same size.
and if you accept the alternative that the earth stayed the same size and all the continents were in effect clumped together on one side with all the water on the other, what made that happen?
andielines 2 weeks ago
@andielines The pangea is physicly impossible. Water's basic physical property would force it go over part of that continent and leave a second continent on the opposite side of the Earth.

if the earth grew where is the extra mass coming from for it 2 grow
jamdown3000 2 weeks ago
@jamdown3000 there is no extra matter. its the magma that coolsdown. its has a higher Volume when solid. that's what's breaking apart the upper crust.

I think your missing one point, when the earth was smaller it would have been covered in water! Just as ancient text describe, and as it expanded the water settled in the low places and the continents appeared.

@iulslion exactly. well maybe the voice over guy just isnt good with explaining it. anyway, the general idea makes allot of sense...but I dont have to time of motivation to confirm it with my own understanding. medicine is my passion, ill leave the physics to the physicists.
iulslion 1 week ago
interesting theory, but where would new magma come from? neal sideskirts this issue with a questionable dialectic of 'growing' versus 'expansion', the latter which deems a consensual scientific lie. so much for conservation of matter, i guess he thinks that atoms reproduce, hee hee
jamesedwardtheobald 2 weeks ago
@jamesedwardtheobald er, which HE deems to be a consensual ...
jamesedwardtheobald 2 weeks ago
And in the Pangea theory only under water plates subduct and whole continents float over the subduction zones. Wait, they are the heavier colder mass and should be doing the subduction. The earth is measuredly expanding at the equator from space and gps ocean bouys. Dessenters are blaming it on glacier melt and centrifugal forces at the equator. BS guys. The pacific plate is moving west and isn't subducting on Asia's side. With each movement event 28 hrs later asia's side quakes not subducts

Yes, lots more questions needing proved or disproved.
andjusticeforall2010 1 month ago
@andjusticeforall2010 First of all, the sun is a hell of a lot different from the earth. The sun is an enormous amount of gas, which causes immense pressure in its core, which is full of hydrogen, and combines them to become helium, which causes the sun to expand (slowly). This is basic nuclear fusion.
The earth is a rocky planet, with a molten core made of metal. No nuclear fusion going on down there at all.
Kryz2rey 3 weeks ago
As for mountains, as the map spreads there is subduction that does push mountains up such as the rockies and those caused by india moving north. Does the subduction equal the spreading of the ocean floor? Was the earth smooth when it was'smaller'? Covered by water eventually from comets? Water moved into and filled the basins as the growth took place? Yes lots of question, now we need answers. I don't believe our scientists are as smart as they think.
andjusticeforall2010 1 month ago
Matter from the core is compacted, pressure is great, when matter rises from the core it expands. Also, how much matter has the earth gained from outter space, how many billions of tons of rock ice and such have been deposited here over billions of years. Was the earth a water world at one time? Are there fossiles from the west coast of America the same as east coast of Asia as are east coast of America and England/France? If so do all planets grow?
andjusticeforall2010 1 month ago
@andjusticeforall2010 The earth has gained a negligible amount of matter from space, at least in the way this theory would require, which is gradual growth.
Instead, the earth gained all of this during the beginning, when there were lots of asteroids and rocky bodies flying around the sun. The earth is a culmination of all these rocks, and was thusly formed 4.6 billion years ago. Slowly, in comparison to our lifespan, but quickly, relative to the earth's lifespan.
Kryz2rey 3 weeks ago
To all of you asking where the extra mass is coming from; You are assuming the earth is expanding because its gaining mass, but matter also expands as it becomes less dense.
jfletch1183 1 month ago
Nope. Earth didn't grow. Continents shrank. And they were all underwater then. 'Cause if the earth was once much smaller and was all land - where was the water? Lots of missing mass there. Silly, silly theory.
meleagrisfelis 1 month ago 5
@meleagrisfelis nope, no missing mass. it was just much more dense. internal pressure ignited a nuclear reaction in the core of the earth which forced the eventual expansion. before the expansion the planet was smaller, more dense and covered in water. just as ancient texts describe.
iulslion 2 weeks ago
@iulslion What if the earthand all the planets actually where ejected from the sun? They would be formed with a molten core. Anything is possible. Our scientists seem to think they got it all right. i dont think so. We humans arent as smart as we would like to think....me included.
andjusticeforall2010 1 day ago
@meleagrisfelis please tell me, how the heck does a continent shrink? granite doesnt just go away, and it doesnt just move out of itself...or float around like wood on water. where is the logic?
iulslion 2 weeks ago
@iulslion volcanoes erupted under water causing the water to be very hot and as we all know things shrink in hot water.
meleagrisfelis 2 weeks ago
@meleagrisfelis what the fck are you talking about? taking the piss?
iulslion 1 week ago

no, the continents used to be all together and there was one giant ocean around it
tikimandude112 1 month ago

At the beginning, most our surface was covered by water, lets say 99.99% and over time with the planet growing, the surface started to emerge. what do you think?
humanequilibrium 1 month ago
@humanequilibrium but still you need to explain where the mass comes from, plants get mass from nutrients and water and carbon dioxide (already on the planet), they take these things in. We can test to see if the earth has expanded or grown, we can measure ancient tidal sediment that shows the influence of the moon and thus shows changes in gravity, there hasn't been a change in gravity, the earth hasn't grown.
rhubis 1 month ago
@rhubis hmmmmm well gravity had to have changed because the model that we have for the dinosaurs doesnt work. For instance T-Rex is to big to carry his body around so they say that t-Rex is a scavenger. That's simply bullshit! That meat machine is a carnivore! so if the planet was smaller and the gravity was less, the dinosaur model would work efficiently! what do you think?
humanequilibrium 1 month ago
@humanequilibrium Really? well evidence says that gravity was the same, and the t-rex very well might have been a scavenger much like a hyena (who have stronger jaws than lions), also the proportions on the leg bones show that no matter what gravity they were in they were not evolved for speed.
rhubis 1 month ago
@rhubis interesting, well ill need to look into the leg bone issue. I'm just trying to defend a theory from the top of my head. crymum1981 1 month ago
@crymum1981 So not division like an embryo instead the earth pumps blood to fill up hollows that makes it more rigid? No actually magma flows but it cannot be 'pumped' by the planet and even if it could then it would only be one section enlarging and then only for a while until it evens out again, Nasa have actually measured the earth and its not expanding.
rhubis 1 month ago
@TheCyreda no, the author missed that point. when the earth was smaller it would covered in water. continental drift is a stupid theory, this actually makes sense. if anything about the evolution of celestial bodies you would see that. see the formation of stars, they contract and the expand.
iulslion 2 weeks ago
@iulslion
you cannot draw stars into the comparison.
TheCyreda 2 weeks ago
@TheCyreda I do not KNOW how these things happed neither do you. I have heard al lthe theories, yes, they are old and outdated. Although I am open minded...I think this theory is onto something, because it fills gaps in current theories. It makes allot of sense, logically. And the continental drift, doesnt. Just referring to and old theory as fact is not good enough to debu this one...sorry. try again. The expansion theory could just as easily explain earthquakes and volcanoes.
iulslion 2 weeks ago
@TheCyreda and just saying its not because its running out of hydrogen. its turning hydrogen into helium and creating more mass so stars must expand to keep the density low so it dosent implode. but i totally agree with you this expansion theory is bull shit and iulslion needs to shut up and do his homework on astronomy and physics of celestial bodies in space and mass and matter and density all correspond to prove that this is completely wrong =)

@lokipup1 oh you are obviously a astronomy and physics major. hahaha omg your funny. you dont know what you are talking about. i love people like you.
iulslion 1 week ago
@TheCyreda this is not the theory explained. it has already been proven, the book has been written. go and read it, then make an informed opinion. I am just playing with ideas, im not an expert on this theory. but it is obviously more believable than the status quo. however a sheep like you cant see past the herd. but that doesnt bother me.
iulslion 1 week ago
@iulslion ight the earth cannot have a nucleare reaction. 1 the earth is not large enough to have the mass to colide hydrogen atoms together to form helium 2 the earth docent have hydrogen in its core it hase molten rock and iron. when massive stars explode the iron atoms clump together first and if earth did have nuclear fusion going on it would be way to hot to sustain life. so dont start talking about nuclear fusion... it can NOT happen in earth!!!!!!
lokipup1 1 week ago
@lokipup1 dude I duno what your talking about. I never suggested a fusion reaction, I was talking about fission...like splitting of heavy elements? so your whole rant is pretty off topic. Anyway, that was just my guess...I later found out from somebody who actually knows, (not like yourself) that expansion is more likely due to pair production. to you I would suggest, stop copying what other people say because it doesnt make you sound smart. you fkn troll. gtfo
iulslion 1 week ago
@iulslion and stars do not contract they only expand until they implode in on them selfs due to the dense weight of creating elements. if earth had nuclear fission going on everyday the gravity would change due to the increasing density of creating heavier elements. another reason why expansion theory is bull.. gravity if the earth always had the same mass then when it is smaller its more destiny and the moon would be a lot closer or not there because it crashed back into earth.
lokipup1 1 week ago

That's it.
VasilyKiryanov 1 month ago
I should say, the mechanics of subduction process is hugely profaned in this video, with just a few words. The ocean crust is NOT "SINKING" into and against the magma, that's heavier and more dense, BY ITSELF, but, on the contrary, it's PULLED under the continental crust BY the subducting MAGMA, and MELTS. That's why the oceanic crust is so young, it's constantly renewing itself. And continents are constantly crashing against each other by opposite sides, that's why they match here and there.
VasilyKiryanov 1 month ago
@VasilyKiryanov This comment makes me proud. I'm glad there are people like this around to correct when other people make mistakes, and put it so eloquently. I salute you! :D
Kryz2rey 3 weeks ago

HolySalmon 1 month ago
So where the hell did all the water come from? If the Earth's volume was getting smaller... then the continents must've been flooded by the water that eventually became oceans. Also, if the Earth was smaller, then it must have been spinning faster due to the conservation angular momentum. A day would be shorter.
Anyway, this a hypothesis that has been binned.

@JEZZADUB
Now we have direct evidence that it's wrong.

Where did the water come from? where did all the rock from inside the Earth come from? You are an idiot!
artblack01 3 months ago
@artblack01 Science indicates that most of the planet was covered in water at one time. Havent you heared we "all came from the sea?" The water was covered in ocean, and as the oceans were formed from the land splitting apart, the water filled them. Try firin' up a few brain cells before you call someone an idiot.
SpadaccinoLuciano 3 months ago
@SpadaccinoLuciano You really don't have a clue what that entails do you? Do you have any idea what mass is? Mass is the amount of matter an object has, this mass produces a gravitational pull which if the planet were the size suggested in the beginning of the expanding Earth idea (not a true theory) then there would not be enough mass to hold on to the atmosphere. Example: the moon. "Try firin' up a few brain cells" Ditto. Try taking PHYSICS.
artblack01 3 months ago
@artblack01 Physics is constantly finding faults and new theories with itself. You seem remarkable unintellegent, is that why you are hiding behind physics and men and women of actual intellegence who have contributed to it? The moon could of been drifiting along, and, coming upon a correctly sized earth, became trapped in it's orbit. BTW, any "idea" suggesting a new way in science is indeed a theory. Have you tried hitting your face to get your braint o work?
SpadaccinoLuciano 3 months ago
@SpadaccinoLuciano You seem to accuse me of being an unintelligent but you haven't done anything to prove me wrong, the intelligent thing to do would be to show me evidence or at least state where this idea could possibly be true. As for your comment on Physics, you will also have to prove that too because you have no idea what you are talking about. Evidence would be nice, rather than being a hypocrite. And you have no evidence.
artblack01 3 months ago
@artblack01 To the contrary, I counter your idiotic ramblings with ideas and evidence. You claim to be fluent in physics, but seem to lack common sense that you should put first. Look at a map. Or history.

I want you to take a rock and make it into a boulder. If you can do this without using other rocks then I will believe that this is possible. But to go from the mass you are talking about to the mass the Earth is now is completely cartoonish and IMPOSSIBLE!!!!!
artblack01 3 months ago
@SpadaccinoLuciano I've been into these subjects longer than you've been alive, kid, GO TO SCHOOL! Prove this idea is valid theory. If you can do that and not get laughed right out of college then I'll concede. You'd probably also win a Nobel prize.
/watch?v=QDqskltCixA
These are the facts based not just on plate tectonics evidence but geological and paleontological evidence. EVIDENCE not speculation, assumption, or supposition. Which is what this argument is based on.
artblack01 3 months ago
@artblack01 College is rather useless, it just lets more people tell you how to think. I have no intention of ever going to college, and knowing that you have disturbs me greatly. I've presented evidence, if presented theories. Go be a good little school boy, now.
SpadaccinoLuciano 3 months ago
@SpadaccinoLuciano College is a place that shows you how to think doesn't tell you how. So I guess not knowing how to think must be fun. To have NOTHING in that little head of yours, no way of telling if someone is telling you the truth or lying to you. No way of finding out if something is possible or impossible or just plain fantasy. Yeah, it's good to be as stupid as you.
artblack01 3 months ago
@SpadaccinoLuciano Knowledge is power my friend. If you don't know the truth then you will believe every bullshit story you hear, as long as some idiot can demonstrate it in some great CGI video, huh? If you had gone to college they show you how to know the difference between truth and lies, not just with useless facts but with experiments and measurements... but that's all lost to you.... You are the slave the powers that be are looking for. Congrats.
artblack01 3 months ago
@SpadaccinoLuciano If you're not going to get an education you might as well go to a library and look up the truth, why not experiment... prove your expanding Earth theory, take a straw to a rock and blow has hard as you can, maybe you can expand the rock with your mighty brain powers.
artblack01 3 months ago
@SpadaccinoLuciano A Theory is a set facts used to explain an observed phenomenon. NOT just some lame idea.
artblack01 3 months ago
@artblack01 this is indeed observing a phenomenon. The Earth was connected on all sides, and the continental drift theory is full of massive holes. Just as Galileo observed the phenonmenon of the Earth orbiting the sun, which upset the general idea of the time, as the Expanding Earth theory does.
SpadaccinoLuciano 3 months ago
@SpadaccinoLuciano Plate tectonics has been proven fact. Planets can't grow like that. The volcanic and archeological EVIDENCE proves this theory not just wrong but silly to the point of being an idiotic statement of the mentally deficient.
artblack01 3 months ago
@SpadaccinoLuciano Further more, the tectonic theory makes even more sense if you think of it this way... what comes out of a volcano? Lava. Where did this Lava come from? The inside of the Earth. What is lava? Molten Rock. Why is it Molten? The pressure of the mass of the Earth causing the rock to get hot enough to melt. Why does the moon not have Volcanoes? Not big enough. If the surface of the Earth is on a sea of molten rock wouldn't it be pushed around?
Come now THINK!

Examinations of data from the Paleozoic and Earth's moment of inertia suggest that there has been no significant change of earth's radius in the last 620 million years
Superhandydave 3 months ago
well you all.... first of all the earth must be growing. It's matter collected together to make itself through gravity...when did that STOP happening.. the Earth is much like a ball of dough, as it gets bigger the heat core gets hotter and the crust looks just like a loaf of bread...cooking.
taisticky 3 months ago
@taisticky You are not an educated and experienced scientist. If I were you, I'd attempt to educate myself as much as possible, but refrain from answering as if it is the absolute. It's a debate, and science never claims to know the answer, but to work harder to solidify theories as much as possible.

And also, how can this guy explain earthquakes and deep ocean trenches?
mviper500 4 months ago
@mviper500
He must think that d.o.t.s (lol, dots) are like strech-marks on the skin, and earthquakes must be be side-effects of growing.

It's funny how in all the maps he showed Antarctica in the north, but when he got to the south pole map, Antarctica was always in the south.

This guy is so ignorant. Maybe he didn't go to grade school and learn basic science?

No subduction, No Earthquakes, No Mountains, Very little life, PERIOD!
scoobydenon 4 months ago
@scoobydenon your wrong about everything
TheMadhybrid 4 months ago
@TheMadhybrid when i stretch out a piece of paper i dont get mountains i get tears, just saying!
TheSpartansIRS 4 months ago
@TheSpartansIRS dont stretch out a flat piece of paper strectch out half a basketball and watch it ripple to try and accomodate a flatter surface
TheMadhybrid 4 months ago
Ah yes the kind of a conspiracy theory of scientific knowledge?
journeyer58 4 months ago

Just like contrary economists scare main stream media. it's all bought & paid for. funding & a good life is the name of the game.
nayanmalig 5 months ago
If the earth is growing, then where is the extra mass coming from?
Caeliclord 5 months ago 2
@Caeliclord Maybe it's core is like the sun. It will expand, then blow up at the end. lol :(

shadowmax889 6 months ago
How does earth-growth theory account for compressional plate boundaries? A simple answer will do.
Plus: Lack of a working model seriously impacts the credibility of earth-growth theory.
Plate tectonics theory is logical and simple to understand. Earth growth theory requires complicated explanations.
Hate to burst the bubbles of the believers, but the earth is not flat, and it is not located at the center of the solar system, either.

so it grew in mass?, and made all that water?
RebornSauce 7 months ago
This actually explains what happened to the flood waters in Noah's flood. God expanded the globe to receed the water.
