This sounds so ad but I'm a 13 year old girl (Very small) and can only throw 13.72! I think that's good for me though considering I've never had training or taken discus seriously :)
@MrStryperfan it doesn't matter about what size you are for example there is one kid who is 6 foot and 220 pounds(slim and skinny) and another kid who like like 5.3 and 200 and the slim and skinny kid throws farther than the strong and short kid.so atleast try it your freshman year and see what you think about it and if u dont like if finish out the year and dont do it next ur sophomore but remember just throw at least 4 days a week in the summer and make changes for the better.
Will you Go to Heaven when you Die?(Here's a quick test) Have you ever lied, stolen, committed adultery(Jesus said if you even look with lust it's adultery) Will you be guilty on Judgment Day? Be honest. You know you will be guilty and end up in Hell. But God is not willing That Any perish. God loves us so much He sent Jesus Christ to suffer and die on the Cross and He rose from the dead. Today, Repent(Confess and Forsake your Sins) and trust in JESUS Christ then read the Bible and Obey it.
My record is 23. somthng. a 10th grade student. My technique is the "South african" Will it improve if i will change it to that technique? my throw's are kinda' weak though.. :/ HELP!!
@GioAndrei1 If your only throwing 23ft for a south african you might just want to improve on your power throw then move onto the South African, then the full spin
Great discus instructional - Can anyone help me understand what he means at about 2mins 14 secs when he says " at release the path of the discus must be parallel to the path of the body" Thanks
@hvardon if you want the velocity of the body driving to the front of the circle to fully help your throw, your body must be moving along the same line or path of the discus upon release. If those paths cross, you are only getting a partial benefit from your body motion. Vectors of force in physics...
Great video! I'm throwing 125 this is my second year throwing.
