Hey are the Ron Paul bots hacking into youtube and preventing these videos from playing, putting in place a button to click for Ron Paul? Cause this is like the 5th time this has happened on my pc.... Is anyone else having problems playing this video? And seeing Ron Paul ads all over the place?
There is a difference, Turks, between not having new ideas and sticking to a consistent ideal.
Need I remind you that it was Democrats who created the KKK? Need I remind you that Robert Byrd filibustered the civil rights motion? Need I even remind you that against the will of more than half the people, the health care bill which contains immense amounts of pork was crammed down our throats was passed?
If *that* is the measure of 'new ideas', you can keep them. I'll stick with what works.
john miccain wanted to dig for oil in the west but you cant draw blood from a stone the south was packed with oil rigs in the 1940s but the wells were plugged up with cement saving what little is left is reserved i swung my vote to alt. gas but first get us out of recession and fix little bush Jr. s mess up i voted president Obama for his ideas and letting the public in on them on change . org miccain just seemed to fake for me the election is done but its an amusing argument
neo conservatism is killing America neo con = neo nazi, neo conservatism justifies war for american interests abroad they support wars with china, saudi Arabia, iran, not necessarily because these nations could pose a threat because America can become more powerful and make more money. Neo cons "send your children to die for America's greatness!" oh the humanity!
@vixvix801 Do you even pay attention to the political environment, or do you just take someone else's word for it?
I'm not telling you that you should think one way or the other, Vix. But I insist fervently that you pay attention to your world through as many facets as you can.
Look at both sides of the issue and see things with eyes unclouded.
Going to war for American interests is a broad term. Survival is a VERY important interest, if I may say.
"if you don't like America then leave" is a typical republican idea. Yes, this is how progress is accomplished. Never criticize the country or its leader, everything America does is perfect and the right thing. How the FUCK can a country better itself, become stronger, if its citizens don't point out its flaws so they can be fixed? Drilling in the states? DRILLING!? And when all the oil offshore is gone (they don't even know how much there is) then what? THEN WHAT? THINK!
why do conservatives (of both major parties) feel that the only way we can solve problems is by war, and that diplomacy never works because bullying is more accurate
@wpditerl And how do you think that blindly following people like Obama is any better? You don't realize that 'If you don't like America, then leave' isn't Republican exclusive.
Democrats have stagnated cities such as Detroit. Democrats vetoed the Civil Rights movement. Democrats even, and you can look this up, created the KKK.
So I'm not saying Republicans are good and Dems are bad, but you need to realize that BOTH groups are a mixed bag and the Turks choose to see only one side of the coin
Mccain is a typical dried up, out dated, stuck in the old ways of thinking republican. A gun toting flag waving throwback to a time when patriotism was justified because America really was a great nation. But now.....America is FALLEN. Learn mandarin because China is now the superpower. America will never reclaim its former glory and its because republicans have sucked it dry. Oil, guns, torture, war, imperialism, christianity, TEXAS.......these are the things that have ruined America.
The reason Bush didn't get bent about negative press is because HE DIDN'T GIVE A SHIT guybelowfalls. Reacting to negative press doesn't make one weak. It can just as easily be looked at as a genuine concern for your image in the eyes of the people you lead. And since when does experience mean you are a good person? With scruples? You can have all the experience in the world and still be a despot. Obama has charisma, he is very intelligent, he speaks coherently. He is MODERN.
We're the scumbags? You guys are the lairs that spread your propaganda through, ABC, NBC, CNN, MTV, Comedy Central, Cnetwork, FM radio, Movie industry, Music Industry, the public schools, and a vast majority of colleges, and we're the scumbags. Of course we are, we have scum like Lincoln, Martin Luther King jr., and Eisenhower, while you guys have these noble honest people like the KKK, Environmental Hippies who care more about the animals then our economy. Yea we're the scumbags.
It's funny how you hide behind Martin Luther King Jr., Eisenhower and Lincoln when they held none of the values you "neo-cons" have now, with your bastardized, horrendously raped version of republicanism.
Maybe you need to check up on history. Do you know who the father of the republican party and its belief are, Honest Abe. Yes I think it's ok to "hide" behind someone who, not only agrees with our views, but is the one who created them .
And tell me, since you know so well, what exactly are these "neo-con" beliefs.
And for your sake, try to post things that's real ad back with facts, cause I'd hate to make you look bad in front of all you liberal buddy here.
Abraham Lincoln might have been a "Republican", but don't forget that the Republican Party of the 1860s was FAR DIFFERENT than the GOP of today. It was the liberal, left-wing party of the time.
Back then, the Republican Party was more a regional party based in the Northeast and New England whose base was a very anti-slavery, abolitionist core who were the forerunners of today's liberals.
Far different you say, Lincoln advocated the trickle down economy, we still believe in that. He believed in the same gun laws as we do, his civil beliefs was continued all the way through to Regan, who honored the works of Dr. King by making his B-Day a national holiday.
Our beliefs are, we don't have to put our voter base in a "Victim Mentality" and claim to provide the antidote to win votes. We believe that we should give people incentive to move up the social class, instead of giving out hand-outs, that don't help them in the long run, but only makes them dependent on the government.
Maybe if you took the time to actually understand what your going against like I did when I was a democrat, you would see that we're not a bunch of rich snobby, war mongering, nuke dropping fascists. In fact, that's actually your party and its voter base. Just stop and look around you, and look at history.
Ok, here's where it gets silly. War mongering? That's Bush's camp, not ours. Rich? Far from it. THe Republican Party is the rich, snobby one. Fascist? That's funny because historically fascism is closer to Republicans and Communism is closer to Democrats.
Who said this quote?
An evil exists that threatens every man, woman and child of this great nation. We must take steps to insure our domestic security and protect our Homeland.
Bush? Nope. Adolf Hitler, when he announced the gestapo.
If we're the rich snobby ones, why is it that you liberals are always seen at Starbucks, ordering something like, Minty, layfete, Chai (WTF is chai, I hear that everytime), while we conservatives just go to Dunkin Donuts and order medium coffie, with cream and suger. Who always go to these fancy European restaurants, the liberals. We democrats are happy with just burgers or steak if it's a special occasion. Look at Obama, he's a rich elitist, and he suppose to understands the poor people?
I'm not hailing those presidents or anything. Vietnam was a terrible idea. So was the atomic bomb. You're under the impression that I agree with all Democrats like it's my religion. You're assuming too much.
You speak of Vietnam as a bad thing, but then support the Iraq war (an equally bad idea). You're forgetting about the filthy rich Bushes and their Saudi agenda. McCain, Bush and other Republicans AREN'T as rich as Obama? Oh, right, they're poor, everyday folks like us, right?
Ummm, also... Bush Jr. and Sr. have dropped more bombs and wasted more money on defense spending than the last few democrats. Where are you getting this information?
"Wasted money?" Ever since they "Wasted" money on defense we haven't had a single terrorist attack on out soil. Before, after Clinton cut defense spending, the USS Coal was attacked, our embassies were bombed, and in 1993, the Twin Towers were bombed.
Ah, the "blame it on Clinton" strategy. Who is using your mouth to spread their ideas? Limbaugh? FAUX news? Did you ever consider that maybe the threat on terror was really just a fear strategy to get your vote and your undivided attention? Name me ONE botched terror attempt that Bush stopped. ONE. You can't because you're taking his word for it that he stopped terror attacks.
Right. You don't victimize the voters, you victimize yourselves. Always at the hands of the liberals, right? Even when the government was run by Republicans, you guys still victimized yourselves and complained about the Liberal media, and the like.
Hand outs? I wish that was the only situation to be involved in, but sorry, the handout problem is the tip of our country's iceberg, and not just a conservative issue. I don't agree with it either, and I'm far from conservative.
What we don't do is making the people believe that our country is sick, that way they would buy our medicine. That's what you democrats do, don't believe me? Look around you, how many "BUSH SUX" and "AMERICA IN CRISIS!!" propaganda do you see? And then you guys come busting in, "WE OFFER 'CHANGE'!!" See what I mean?
I disagree with the massive CHANGE strategy "my" candidate has pushed, so don't lump me into that category and generalize. America IS in crisis, and we need a strong leader. If McCain was a Democrat and Obama was a Republican, then I would have honestly voted Republican, because McCain was a terribly weak candidate that ran a very negative campaign. I'd be lying to myself if I said Obama wasn't a stronger candidate.
You say a strong leader, but Obama not only has very little experience, compared to other politicians, even on the democrat side, but look how offended he got when that magazine made fun of him. For the last 8 years, Bush has been receiving the the most degrading insults, yet they just bounce off him, like bullets bounce of Superman. I'd say that counts as strength.
Also, me and along with many other Republicans, agree with you on McCain. While Obama strongly believe in the Liberal beliefs, McCain isn't a firm supporter of many conservative beliefs. I personally think we should have selected Allen Keys, or maybe Huckabee, even though Huck is also not too Conservative, he had approachability to match Obama's.
If you don't see anything wrong with this country, then you've been blindfolded for the past eight years. You may be too young to even care about politics in the late 90s to early 2000s, but when Bush Jr. was elected, he promised the deficit to be reduced, like his father. Now, we have the largest national debt in history. I don't know what drew you to republicans. Maybe you like to offer tax cuts for rich CEOs and bail bad businesses out, but I don't.
spending on AFDC, the program normally referred to as welfare, totaled less than $500 billion from 1964 to 1994--less than 1.5 percent of federal outlays for that period, and about what the Pentagon spends in two years.
Welfare is a miniscule part of the national budget. Welfare and food stamps combined are less than two and a half percent of the federal budget. By comparison, Social Security made up fully 20 percent of the cost of running the federal government.
Funny how Reagan started the Earned Income Tax credit, a handout that took more of the tax load from the rich and gave it to poorer working families. Yes, they were working, but also this is Socialism. This isn't a problem though, it was one of the most successful programs. It's funny that you correlated the liberals with fascism when handouts are far from a fascist ideal.
And also, Bush's precious bailout is worse than any handout our country has ever witnessed.
Trickle down economics was ushered in with Reagan, not Lincoln. Where are you learning this stuff? Those "liberal" history books at those "liberal" schools?
Also, trickle down economics is a terrible economic plan. Supply side economics that the Republicans love so much is in direct opposition of the Keynesian economics that pulled the nation out of the depression. The wealthy tend to hang on to money, rather than circulate it, which leads to an economic stalemate.
The Republicans consistently argue that tax cuts on the wealthy benefit everyone because the wealthy will pass on the tax savings to the middle class. This is classic "trickle down" theory.
If that's true, then why is it not equally true that if you cut taxes on the middle and lower classes, they, too, will pass the savings on to the wealthy by having more disposable income to spend on goods and services produced by businesses owned by wealthier people?
I wished you sent me a personal message since I'm not restricted to 500 words. I am more then willing to explain to you how it works, that is, if your willing to listen. If you are please send me a message, then I will gladly explain the fault in Obama's plan, and why the "Trickle Down" theory holds more water.
In fact it does work this way, but the wealthy are too shortsighted to realize that their wealth is predicated on the buying power and the labor of the people they employ. It's like playing jenga, they keep pulling out the lower supports hoping to pile the stack higher, but never realizing that they will INEVITABLY cause the whole thing to collapse.
Obviously I was stating my opinion of the GOP, not a fact, so I do not need to "back myself up with them". As for the term liberal, it seems to be thrown around so much that I don't think you guys even know what it means anymore.
"Honest Abe" has nothing to do with this day and age. Politics, like religion, have strayed VERY far from their roots. This is something BOTH parties can agree on.
As for your "liberal media", I disagree. Liberal media DOES exist, but not as the looming bogeyman that you republicans have demonized it into.
In 2007 of the 257 news/talk stations owned by the top five commercial station owners reveals that 91 percent of the total weekday talk radio is conservative, and 9 percent is liberal.
You believe Jay-Z going up on stage saying he's gonna vote Obama is not gonna have an effect on the fans that idolize him?
You thing Kanye saying Bush hates Blacks, is not gonna have an effect on his black fans, or even his white fans, even though nothing suggest the accusations to be true?
You think Pan Anderson telling Plain to "Suck It" is not gonna make her fans bias against Palin?
You think the liberals don't hold this powerful propaganda tool, called the entertainment industry?
Don't you think that perhaps Kanye, Jay-Z and Pam Anderson all have their political views and are exercising their god-given right to have them? No, it's a tinfoil hat liberal conspiracy.
They are, and I'm not faulting them, but do you honestly think young people after hearing them are gonna even look at what republicans are about? Also what facts do you think these celebs base their opinions on? Do you really think they would care too much about politics?
If they live in America, then why shouldn't they be interested in politics? Also, if people want to know what Republicans are all about, they only have to look back at the last disaster of an 8 years to realize that.
why stop at the last 8 years, why not 24 years ago when Reagan was in office? And describe to me exactly what Bush did. The economy? There were other factors that played into that, yet you pin ALL the blame on Bush.
# Each weekday, 2,570 hours and 15 minutes of conservative talk are broadcast on these stations compared to 254 hours of progressive talk—10 times as much conservative talk as progressive talk.
# A separate analysis of all of the news/talk stations in the top 10 radio markets reveals that 76 percent of the programming in these markets is conservative and 24 percent is progressive, although programming is more balanced in markets such as New York and Chicago.
Why are you here? Why on Earth did you decide you were bored enough to come into an obviously liberal YouTube channel and view a video you disagree with? I don't watch FAUX news just to get pissed, it's a waste of time. Yes, this is a slanted video. Yes, I know that, and understand that it isn't 100% accurate. But at least I don't treat it like FOX and believe everything I hear, lying to myself and saying it's a balanced media source.
Why am I here, I'm glad you asked that question. You see, for most of my life, I was a democrat. I used to see thing from the point of view of the democrats. I started to look at both parties so that I could honestly decide for myself, which party I felt was right, and from what I saw, I felt I was on the wrong side. I still continue the habit of looking at both sides, that way I can continue to form informed opinions, and not just bias ones.
Why don't you Republican bastards talk your fuckin shit now? Oh right, it's because you lost the white house and democrats increased their majority in the senate! Fuck all you Republican scumbags.
THANK YOU Finally, someone involved with the military on a national level that gets it. When you have problems with someone, you have to at least TRY to talk it out, and you keep talking until you can at come to a point where you're not fighting anymore. WE LEARNED THIS IN KINDERGARTEN! And preconditions, how would we feel if Iran wouldn't talk to us about Nukes until we say pulled all our troops out of Isreal? Would we get real far in coming to a
(grr misclick, continuing): an agreement on their nuclear program? No, we'd say, "who are you to tell us what to do?" Other countries are the same. They're not going to make concessions just to be able to sit down at a table with someone who may not agree to anything they want. That's stupid! Who'd do that? Getting people to sit down and talk things over is hard enough without that BS.
As for their idea, judging by McCain's voting record (which he keeps pointing to): keep doing what we're doing
GOODBYE,USA ReFlubLieRant Rule!!!! Grease up Ur butts, fright-wing,Neo-con-artist,con(vict)servative,TERRORISTS against America. Time 2 pay 4 Ur decades old citizen heist, now our Great Depression 2;Continued Int'l war crimes, genociding over a million innocents while illegally occupying a sovereign nation;Treason against the Congress & the U.S. Constitution;Murders and the Worsening of Katrina;etc; indefinite prison,no charge, no trial, no lawyer, seize assets...PAYING US BACK'S An MF, lowlifes!
I don't understand why people believe that nationalized medicine is so bad. We are the only developed western nation that doesn't have nationalized heath care. It works everywhere else.
A multinational analysis ranked the heath care system of all western nations. The United States ranked 42nd just behind Costa Rica. We use more per capita on heath care than anyone, but a higher infant mortality rate and lower overall health (I don't remember the ranks on those, but we are in the top 20)
They don't come here for the health care. They come here because our currency is more valuable. Meaning that relatively they make more doing menial labor than they would somewhere else. They also come here because this is where the jobs are, but that is starting to change. We have seen a decrease in immigration, both legal and illegal, since the economy went to hell, because the jobs just aren't there anymore. Going without decent heath care (no insur) is just a risk they make in most cases.
Pff ideas are for liberal elitist fags with their precious "knowledge" and "rational thought".
Listening to scientists? All elites, not to be trusted! Other countries? Communists and terrorists! Conserving nature? Nature doesn't care about conserving us! Torture? They made us do it. Sustainable development? If people want medicine they should just get a third job, damn slackers!
All you need to know is Jesus is pro-America and pro-free-market, everything else is liberal bullshit.
Nice sarcasm megamarsvin. I don't think McCain is in conflict with what you mentioned. About the 'slackers should get a 3rd job' that's a false premise. I will propose right now some ideas: Raise wages across the board so people can better afford healthcare *not doable?* OK, enact laws so people can actually afford hospital bills *that's doable* Enact a federal healthcare tax that everybody pays a small amount into and everybody benefits. There are multiple solutions no 3rd (or 2nd) job required
franks I'm not trying to define in literal terms what is or isn't 'socialism'. All I am getting at is that the people who cry for help don't seem to be willing to take responsibility for their own wants. You say "wealthy people paying to support those who make them rich is a fair & just thing" Um..no. "make them rich?" How it works is everybody gets paid for a job they do and with that money it is up to the individual to live their life and make their own decisions and stand on their own.
Heh that would be a noble sentiment if the free market were actually free. But it's not, and everyone knows it's not. America socializes risk to the wealthy while leaving the poor to rot. Welcome to the perfect "free" market.
You sure know how to define conservative values, those evil poor people how dare they take from us rich folk, its all about responsibility?, No it is all about YOUR Greed and your inability to accept that other make you wealthy. Freedom, Americans you dont even understand what the term means
No, I'm not rich OK, not even close, in fact you have no idea just how broke I am but I don't seek handouts from the wealthy. It's just basic logic. You don't TAKE from others what is not yours. If people want a better system they need to band together and make one themselves not rob others with little stake in their desires. Healthcare needs to be affordable so people can afford it without going broke. How it's paid can be either be you pay yourself or a socialized system funded by pooled money
I do no seek handouts by the wealthy, but i see the wealthy paying their fair share (note fair share) for the wealth that we created for them. Who do you think mines their coal, oil, gas, who works in their service stations etc. I dont want to take what is not mine, I want to have what I justly have a right to. Thats why liberal democacies demand that the wealthy support the needs of others. The wealthy can get rich "fair enough" but not at the expence and detriment of others. Travel, it works
First of all the democrats are "social democrats not socialists .
Seconly the democrats are not "nationalising the banks" the republicans are "I call that socialism for the rich".
Thirdly socialism exists to share the wealth with all people of a society fairly. And lastly have you ever been to a socialist country "go speak to their average joes" they will tell you that they have never had it so good. Americains first to judge last to accept the blame.
Wealthy people paying to support those who make them rich is a fair & just thing to do in a free society. Not as the GOP would have it "a free society is Only for those who can afford to pay"
What "new" ideas does Barack have? I'd like a list. It's not about "new" ideas, it's about ideas that are fair and that WORK (when properly enforced). Obama wants to take alot of tax revenue from wealthier people to provide for those poorer? Well how about TRUE socialism where EVERYBODY pays a little and EVERYBODY benefits? People want goodies without any sacrifice on their part. If everybody 18 yrs and older donated 2$ right now and mailed it to the gov just imagine..that's just a SMALL example
I dont think you have a clue as to what you are talking about, and socilism is not comminisum, and if you want to see it in action, travel , you may be shocked to find how well it works for average people
You are right. Communism is just an extreme form of socialism. Before WWII three forms of socialism developed, communism (Russia), national socialism (NAZI's), and democratic socialism, the latter was dropped in favor of the others because it effected change to slowly, this was happening in an atmosphere of economic despair following WWI. I would say that the current state Germany and France are a good example of democratic socialism mixed with capitalism.
Nacional socialism was never socialist, it was just a lie of Hitler to control the german working class. Or do you think the nazis supported the workers things such as strikes? No, they had to work for the reich's companies or be terminated.
As for communism it's original meaninf (Marx) was that it be the final stage of a socialist economy. Most importantly Marx's view of communism was that the state no longer existed.
Obviously no such self-governing-manteinable society has ever existed.
National Socialism is socialist, but it is a special kind. It says I am going to do everything I can to protect you and your interests as long as you are the same as me. Hilter created a national identity based on Aryan blood rights and set out to protect and perpetuate that blood right. It is very twisted but in essence it is a form of socialism.
cg66079) begun in the cold war when the western media labeled the "communist" all countries governed by communist parties, even if they were far from achieving Marx's dream. So yes, socialism is not the same thing as communism, but in quite another way: Communism is a socialist's objective not it's means.
Socialism is also commonly understood (just as you say) as a more moderate left-wing policy. But that is just another distortion.
Carl Marx wrote the Communist Manifesto not the Socialist Manifesto. Communism is a way of implementing socialism but it isn't the only way of implementing socialism.
I'm talking about Obamas proposals. I'll say it again: People want the gov to take care of them YET they want to draw much of the resources from wealthier people ( I say this as a poor person BTW). What kind of system do you call that? I call it 'Robin Hoodism'. IF (and I say that with extreme doubt) people really want what they SAY they want why don't they accept responsibility? People want universal health care? POOL MONEY & PAY FOR IT. It's that simple. A congressman can write up a bill ASAP
The idea of what you call "true socialism" is that you give as you are able and take as you need. The truth is that generally moves resources against the flow of the free market, down the class scale instead of up, so in effect the net flow of cash is from the rich to the poor. This is not bad as long as it is balanced with the upward flow of the market. The extremes on either side are problematic. One gives you communism the other totalitarianism.
Firstly i dont think you understand too much about how universal healthcare works,
Secondly by getting "everyone to pay a small share of the cost" the cost is reduced and Shared Equally amongst everyone.
And lastly "Wealthy employ poor people" without whom they could not maintain their wealth to begin with in the first place. So getting the Rich to pay a little extra is more than fair
I couldn't tell you word for word what Obama's plan is but at least he looks like he'd put in time and effort to come up with a plan.
McCain just threw another knee-jerk "Government will pay off all your debt and cut your taxes" populist soundbite out there that got lambasted even by most of his own party. I liked Senator McCain a lot before but the election process has really given him a whack of the old windmill.
What does a lobbyist controlled McCain-Palin ticket mean for you? It means lobbyists come first.
McCains top dog, campaign manager Rick Davis, helped pave the way for job losses in Ohio
Senior Foreign Policy Advisor, Randy Scheunemann pocketed $2.6 million lobbying McCain on Soviet interests while on McCains staff. Thats not country first.
The rethuglicans know you need to talk to your enemies other wise they wouldn't be doing it. What the do is feed off of peoples 9/11 emotions by making it bad, even though they themselves do it.
ANCIENT WISDOM - Kepp your FRIENDS CLOSE and keep your ENEMIES CLOSER.
Mccain is ANCIENT - but, he isn't wise.
Obama learned the wisdom of the ancients from the bible and church. sure alot of those teachings came from Rev. Wright, but I still do not believe Rev Wright is a bad guy (and I'm White). I watched his videos and agree with alot of what he had to say.
Rev Wright fought for America too as a soldier by the way. Any dissapointments he has with this country HE IS FREE TO SAY.
In my opinion, Rev Wright is all about attention. Listen to his twisted rhetoric, much of it is insanity. However, you are right on in regards to ancient wisdom, who, in their right mind, would want to cut off any communication with an enemy? I'll tell you who, someone who's looking for a fight. McCain is a loose cannon at best. He's too stupid to have developed wisdom, look at his college record -- 894th out of 899... Can we say stupid? Sure, not George W stupid, but stupid none the less.
McInsane/Paleskin have already LOST. I mentioned the fact they have no ideas already. I've known it since the RNC convention.
They are riling their crowds with HATESPEECH and they can't control them anymore because the people are more passionate than the politicians (big suprise).
Palin will probably be LESS hateful when she gives her next speech but the real problem is, all the angry racists and "mad" people who watched the mob reactions on tv and plan to do worse the next time around.
my friend was adopted by a french diplomat who lives in SC. he had a car accident in 06 and they had to do multiple surgeries to repair damage. he was insured but the total deductible was over $10,000. it was actually cheaper for him to fly to france rent an apartment for a month and get treated than to use his insurance and get treated in the us. how sad is that.
Of course they don't have new ideas, why would a group of people who base all their morals off of a two millenia old book have origonality in their political strategies.
They don't kill babies and are good Christians. Come on, Cenk, you know that many people will vote for McCain/Palin because they are against abortion.
instead they kill 18+... death sentences, war based on a lie, engineering 9/11 & 7/7 attacks to keep support for a fake war on terrorists, etc. Very Christ-like indeed.
It seems history has presented this crisis in a new light. Ever since the end of WW2, national debt decreased with every Democratic administration. After the presidency of Ronald Reagan, every Republican term has seen a steep rise in debt. the debt now is over 10 trillion, fiscal conservatives my arse!
I love reading David Brooks, William F. Buckley was someone I admired a great deal and would not miss his show. I like to read and listen to George Will also. I do not have the same views as any of these guys, (or should I say all of them), but I admired them because they were logical. The conservatives now are hateful, closedminded, spiteful, inconsiderate, and immoral. Barrack is one of the smartest persons we have ever had run for president, why should they not praise what American produced?
True. It really is. Strangely it often works, so much of America is proud to be stupid and act like cowboys in a china shop.
The wildest, craziest third world dictatorships must look on American politics and take comfort that they are not as stupid, uncontrolled, and randomly abusive.
The whole thing with McCain not wanting to talk to people who are not America's "allies" or "friends" is just the weirdest thing I have ever heard from someone who intends to be the leader of a country. It just seems like the equivalent of covering your ears and going "LALALA I CAN'T HEAR YOU".
the republicans have played to the lowest common denominator for so long, appealing to the shitkicker vote they've lost their way.they used to have ideas.eisenhower, even nixon and reagan had ideas.people didn't always agree with them but they had ideas and were smart.being "smart" or "elite" has become a bad thing now.all the republicans have been pushing for years now are social issues that really don't affect anyone, smears, and fear.i'm a "normal" guy that doesn't mean i should be president
What's amazing is that foreign policy was supposed to be McCain's strength. He loves to bring up Petraeus, but it seems like they agree on very few things. The fact that he doesn't want to talk to our enemies really shows just how clueless he is on that issue.
I guess no one should be surprised though, this is the same guy that says he had to run the type of campaign that he's currently running because Obama wouldn't attend town hall meetings with him.
It's part of the Sunni Awakening. We work with those tribes and pay them money, help arm them and they keep the peace in Anbar. Basically, we're paying former insurgents and former al-qaeda to make sure those movements don't pop back up again.
Perhaps, but there will still be the religious folks who seem to have no opinions of their own other than the 'Sanctity of Marriage' and the Pro-life stance... The latter of which I agree with, though I personally think we have other matters we need to focus on before that issue can be resolved.
Tax cuts should be a tool used when conducting fiscal policy, not a central, unchangable pillar of your campaign. This is a problem with today's parties. When you need to raise taxes, you do it, when you can afford to cut them, you consider doing it. When cutting taxes will spur growth, you do it, when more government spending will do a better job, you raise taxes in order to get the revenues to spend on the projects. Government needs to grow a pair and stop catering to the ignorant bases.
I'm not sure this is a result of catering to bases, but rather catering to the common American perception that taxes are always bad. If there's one pillar left for the Democrats to overcome it's the idea that the government is the problem. People don't actually believe that (they cry, for example, when the government isn't for them), but it's much harder to convince people that they actually have to pay for the services they need as a modern, civil, society.
i will have to disagree with you good sir cutting taxes to spur growth in a global economy is worthless. in good faith these breaks have been given and guess what technology and out sourcing have not created american jobs. at the end of the day there is no morale obligation by the engines of capitalism. they were given these breaks in good faith and have proven that its more about making money they the health of our economy.
Each side of a conflict has an objective they want. If both sides condede and promote somthing (compromise) it is beneficial to both. Even our enemies (most anyway) are not stupid. If they can achieve their goals with less money, lives and resources they most likely will as long as they get a reasonable offer in return.

Wrong. The republicans will always have ideas, they're RETARDED ideas, but ideas nonetheless.

In 149 years, the only good ideas Republicans have come up with are to nominate Lincoln and to get rid of Nixon.

neo conservatism is killing America neo con = neo nazi, neo conservatism justifies war for american interests abroad they support wars with china, saudi Arabia, iran, not necessarily because these nations could pose a threat because America can become more powerful and make more money.

Zucca101 1 year ago
"if you don't like America then leave" is a typical republican idea. Yes, this is how progress is accomplished. Never criticize the country or its leader, everything America does is perfect and the right thing. How the FUCK can a country better itself, become stronger, if its citizens don't point out its flaws so they can be fixed? Drilling in the states? DRILLING!? And when all the oil offshore is gone (they don't even know how much there is) then what? THEN WHAT? THINK!
wpditerl 3 years ago 3
why do conservatives (of both major parties) feel that the only way we can solve problems is by war, and that diplomacy never works because bullying is more accurate
Flippyurajerk 3 years ago
@wpditerl And how do you think that blindly following people like Obama is any better? You don't realize that 'If you don't like America, then leave' isn't Republican exclusive.
Democrats have stagnated cities such as Detroit. Democrats vetoed the Civil Rights movement. Democrats even, and you can look this up, created the KKK.
So I'm not saying Republicans are good and Dems are bad, but you need to realize that BOTH groups are a mixed bag and the Turks choose to see only one side of the coin
Zucca101 1 year ago

GuyBelowFails 3 years ago
It's funny how you hide behind Martin Luther King Jr., Eisenhower and Lincoln when they held none of the values you "neo-cons" have now, with your bastardized, horrendously raped version of republicanism.
casiotone1331 3 years ago
Maybe you need to check up on history. Do you know who the father of the republican party and its belief are, Honest Abe. Yes I think it's ok to "hide" behind someone who, not only agrees with our views, but is the one who created them .
And tell me, since you know so well, what exactly are these "neo-con" beliefs.
And for your sake, try to post things that's real ad back with facts, cause I'd hate to make you look bad in front of all you liberal buddy here.
GuyBelowFails 3 years ago
Abraham Lincoln might have been a "Republican", but don't forget that the Republican Party of the 1860s was FAR DIFFERENT than the GOP of today. It was the liberal, left-wing party of the time.
Back then, the Republican Party was more a regional party based in the Northeast and New England whose base was a very anti-slavery, abolitionist core who were the forerunners of today's liberals.
casiotone1331 3 years ago
Far different you say, Lincoln advocated the trickle down economy, we still believe in that. He believed in the same gun laws as we do, his civil beliefs was continued all the way through to Regan, who honored the works of Dr. King by making his B-Day a national holiday.
GuyBelowFails 3 years ago
Our beliefs are, we don't have to put our voter base in a "Victim Mentality" and claim to provide the antidote to win votes. We believe that we should give people incentive to move up the social class, instead of giving out hand-outs, that don't help them in the long run, but only makes them dependent on the government.
GuyBelowFails 3 years ago
Maybe if you took the time to actually understand what your going against like I did when I was a democrat, you would see that we're not a bunch of rich snobby, war mongering, nuke dropping fascists. In fact, that's actually your party and its voter base. Just stop and look around you, and look at history.
GuyBelowFails 3 years ago
Ok, here's where it gets silly. War mongering? That's Bush's camp, not ours. Rich? Far from it. THe Republican Party is the rich, snobby one. Fascist? That's funny because historically fascism is closer to Republicans and Communism is closer to Democrats.
Who said this quote?
An evil exists that threatens every man, woman and child of this great nation. We must take steps to insure our domestic security and protect our Homeland.
Bush? Nope. Adolf Hitler, when he announced the gestapo.
casiotone1331 3 years ago
Did you really expect me to say what I said without being ready to back it up?
WWI- Woodrow Wilson, a democrat.
WWII- FDR, a democrat
Unlike you, I can give credit where credit's due, and I feel these wars were just, however,
Dropping of nukes- Trumen, a democrat.
Vietnam- Lyndon B. Johnson, and JFK, both democrats, and they even initiated the draft.
GuyBelowFails 3 years ago
If we're the rich snobby ones, why is it that you liberals are always seen at Starbucks, ordering something like, Minty, layfete, Chai (WTF is chai, I hear that everytime), while we conservatives just go to Dunkin Donuts and order medium coffie, with cream and suger. Who always go to these fancy European restaurants, the liberals. We democrats are happy with just burgers or steak if it's a special occasion. Look at Obama, he's a rich elitist, and he suppose to understands the poor people?
GuyBelowFails 3 years ago
You're doing nothing but stereotyping, so I have nothing to say to that. It's a tactic of someone that obviously is losing an argument.
casiotone1331 3 years ago
I'm not hailing those presidents or anything. Vietnam was a terrible idea. So was the atomic bomb. You're under the impression that I agree with all Democrats like it's my religion. You're assuming too much.
You speak of Vietnam as a bad thing, but then support the Iraq war (an equally bad idea). You're forgetting about the filthy rich Bushes and their Saudi agenda. McCain, Bush and other Republicans AREN'T as rich as Obama? Oh, right, they're poor, everyday folks like us, right?
casiotone1331 3 years ago
Ummm, also... Bush Jr. and Sr. have dropped more bombs and wasted more money on defense spending than the last few democrats. Where are you getting this information?
casiotone1331 3 years ago
"Wasted money?" Ever since they "Wasted" money on defense we haven't had a single terrorist attack on out soil. Before, after Clinton cut defense spending, the USS Coal was attacked, our embassies were bombed, and in 1993, the Twin Towers were bombed.
GuyBelowFails 3 years ago
Ah, the "blame it on Clinton" strategy. Who is using your mouth to spread their ideas? Limbaugh? FAUX news? Did you ever consider that maybe the threat on terror was really just a fear strategy to get your vote and your undivided attention? Name me ONE botched terror attempt that Bush stopped. ONE. You can't because you're taking his word for it that he stopped terror attacks.
casiotone1331 3 years ago
I don't agree with it either, and I'm far from conservative.
casiotone1331 3 years ago
What we don't do is making the people believe that our country is sick, that way they would buy our medicine. That's what you democrats do, don't believe me? Look around you, how many "BUSH SUX" and "AMERICA IN CRISIS!!" propaganda do you see? And then you guys come busting in, "WE OFFER 'CHANGE'!!" See what I mean?
GuyBelowFails 3 years ago
I disagree with the massive CHANGE strategy "my" candidate has pushed, so don't lump me into that category and generalize. America IS in crisis, and we need a strong leader. If McCain was a Democrat and Obama was a Republican, then I would have honestly voted Republican, because McCain was a terribly weak candidate that ran a very negative campaign. I'd be lying to myself if I said Obama wasn't a stronger candidate.
casiotone1331 3 years ago
You say a strong leader, but Obama not only has very little experience, compared to other politicians, even on the democrat side, but look how offended he got when that magazine made fun of him. For the last 8 years, Bush has been receiving the the most degrading insults, yet they just bounce off him, like bullets bounce of Superman. I'd say that counts as strength.
GuyBelowFails 3 years ago
Also, me and along with many other Republicans, agree with you on McCain. While Obama strongly believe in the Liberal beliefs, McCain isn't a firm supporter of many conservative beliefs. I personally think we should have selected Allen Keys, or maybe Huckabee, even though Huck is also not too Conservative, he had approachability to match Obama's.
GuyBelowFails 3 years ago
My sentiments exactly. I would've done the same.
Starsky5000 3 years ago
If you don't see anything wrong with this country, then you've been blindfolded for the past eight years. You may be too young to even care about politics in the late 90s to early 2000s, but when Bush Jr. was elected, he promised the deficit to be reduced, like his father. Now, we have the largest national debt in history. I don't know what drew you to republicans. Maybe you like to offer tax cuts for rich CEOs and bail bad businesses out, but I don't.
casiotone1331 3 years ago
spending on AFDC, the program normally referred to as welfare, totaled less than $500 billion from 1964 to 1994--less than 1.5 percent of federal outlays for that period, and about what the Pentagon spends in two years.
Welfare is a miniscule part of the national budget. Welfare and food stamps combined are less than two and a half percent of the federal budget. By comparison, Social Security made up fully 20 percent of the cost of running the federal government.
casiotone1331 3 years ago
Funny how Reagan started the Earned Income Tax credit, a handout that took more of the tax load from the rich and gave it to poorer working families. Yes, they were working, but also this is Socialism. This isn't a problem though, it was one of the most successful programs. It's funny that you correlated the liberals with fascism when handouts are far from a fascist ideal.
And also, Bush's precious bailout is worse than any handout our country has ever witnessed.
casiotone1331 3 years ago
Trickle down economics was ushered in with Reagan, not Lincoln. Where are you learning this stuff? Those "liberal" history books at those "liberal" schools?
Also, trickle down economics is a terrible economic plan. Supply side economics that the Republicans love so much is in direct opposition of the Keynesian economics that pulled the nation out of the depression. The wealthy tend to hang on to money, rather than circulate it, which leads to an economic stalemate.
Then....Ka-boom. Recession.
casiotone1331 3 years ago
The Republicans consistently argue that tax cuts on the wealthy benefit everyone because the wealthy will pass on the tax savings to the middle class. This is classic "trickle down" theory.
If that's true, then why is it not equally true that if you cut taxes on the middle and lower classes, they, too, will pass the savings on to the wealthy by having more disposable income to spend on goods and services produced by businesses owned by wealthier people?
casiotone1331 3 years ago
I wished you sent me a personal message since I'm not restricted to 500 words. I am more then willing to explain to you how it works, that is, if your willing to listen. If you are please send me a message, then I will gladly explain the fault in Obama's plan, and why the "Trickle Down" theory holds more water.
GuyBelowFails 3 years ago
In fact it does work this way, but the wealthy are too shortsighted to realize that their wealth is predicated on the buying power and the labor of the people they employ. It's like playing jenga, they keep pulling out the lower supports hoping to pile the stack higher, but never realizing that they will INEVITABLY cause the whole thing to collapse.
CavemanSynthesizer 3 years ago 3
Obviously I was stating my opinion of the GOP, not a fact, so I do not need to "back myself up with them". As for the term liberal, it seems to be thrown around so much that I don't think you guys even know what it means anymore.
casiotone1331 3 years ago
"Honest Abe" has nothing to do with this day and age. Politics, like religion, have strayed VERY far from their roots. This is something BOTH parties can agree on.
As for your "liberal media", I disagree. Liberal media DOES exist, but not as the looming bogeyman that you republicans have demonized it into.
In 2007 of the 257 news/talk stations owned by the top five commercial station owners reveals that 91 percent of the total weekday talk radio is conservative, and 9 percent is liberal.

You think Pan Anderson telling Plain to "Suck It" is not gonna make her fans bias against Palin?
You think the liberals don't hold this powerful propaganda tool, called the entertainment industry?
GuyBelowFails 3 years ago

If they live in America, then why shouldn't they be interested in politics? Also, if people want to know what Republicans are all about, they only have to look back at the last disaster of an 8 years to realize that.
casiotone1331 3 years ago
why stop at the last 8 years, why not 24 years ago when Reagan was in office? And describe to me exactly what Bush did. The economy? There were other factors that played into that, yet you pin ALL the blame on Bush.

# Each weekday, 2,570 hours and 15 minutes of conservative talk are broadcast on these stations compared to 254 hours of progressive talk—10 times as much conservative talk as progressive talk.

One question:
Why are you here? Why on Earth did you decide you were bored enough to come into an obviously liberal YouTube channel and view a video you disagree with? I don't watch FAUX news just to get pissed, it's a waste of time. Yes, this is a slanted video. Yes, I know that, and understand that it isn't 100% accurate. But at least I don't treat it like FOX and believe everything I hear, lying to myself and saying it's a balanced media source.
casiotone1331 3 years ago
Why am I here, I'm glad you asked that question. You see, for most of my life, I was a democrat. I used to see thing from the point of view of the democrats. I don't understand why people believe that nationalized medicine is so bad. We are the only developed western nation that doesn't have nationalized heath care. It works everywhere else.
A multinational analysis ranked the heath care system of all western nations. The United States ranked 42nd just behind Costa Rica. We use more per capita on heath care than anyone, but a higher infant mortality rate and lower overall health (I don't remember the ranks on those, but we are in the top 20)
cg66079 3 years ago
Works everywhere? People risk their lives to come to our country for our competitive healthcare.
GuyBelowFails 3 years ago
They don't come here for the health care. They come here because our currency is more valuable. Meaning that relatively they make more doing menial labor than they would somewhere else. They also come here because this is where the jobs are, but that is starting to change. We have seen a decrease in immigration, both legal and illegal, since the economy went to hell, because the jobs just aren't there anymore. Going without decent heath care (no insur) is just a risk they make in most cases.

47jsiu2mgv2axhmn6r5t 3 years ago
Heh that would be a noble sentiment if the free market were actually free. But it's not, and everyone knows it's not. America socializes risk to the wealthy while leaving the poor to rot. Welcome to the perfect "free" market.
megamarsvin 3 years ago
You sure know how to define conservative values, those evil poor people how dare they take from us rich folk, its all about responsibility?, No it is all about YOUR Greed and your inability to accept that other make you wealthy. Freedom, Americans you dont even understand what the term means
franks2732 3 years ago
No, I'm not rich OK, not even close, in fact you have no idea just how broke I am but I don't seek handouts from the wealthy. It's just basic logic. You don't TAKE from others what is not yours. If people want a better system they need to band together and make one themselves not rob others with little stake in their desires. Healthcare needs to be affordable so people can afford it without going broke. How it's paid can be either be you pay yourself or a socialized system funded by pooled money
47jsiu2mgv2axhmn6r5t 3 years ago

Americains first to judge last to accept the blame.
franks2732 3 years ago
Wealthy people paying to support those who make them rich is a fair & just thing to do in a free society. Not as the GOP would have it "a free society is Only for those who can afford to pay"
franks2732 3 years ago
What "new" ideas does Barack have? I'd like a list. It's not about "new" ideas, it's about ideas that are fair and that WORK (when properly enforced). Obama wants to take alot of tax revenue from wealthier people to provide for those poorer? Well how about TRUE socialism where EVERYBODY pays a little and EVERYBODY benefits? People want goodies without any sacrifice on their part. If everybody 18 yrs and older donated 2$ right now and mailed it to the gov just imagine..that's just a SMALL example

I dont think you have a clue as to what you are talking about, and socilism is not comminisum, and if you want to see it in action, travel , you may be shocked to find how well it works for average people
franks2732 3 years ago
"socilism is not comminisum"
You are right. Communism is just an extreme form of socialism. Before WWII three forms of socialism developed, communism (Russia), national socialism (NAZI's), and democratic socialism, the latter was dropped in favor of the others because it effected change to slowly, this was happening in an atmosphere of economic despair following WWI. I would say that the current state Germany and France are a good example of democratic socialism mixed with capitalism.
cg66079 3 years ago 2
Nacional socialism was never socialist, it was just a lie of Hitler to control the german working class. Or do you think the nazis supported the workers things such as strikes? No, they had to work for the reich's companies or be terminated.
As for communism it's original meaninf (Marx) was that it be the final stage of a socialist economy. Most importantly Marx's view of communism was that the state no longer existed.
Obviously no such self-governing-manteinable society has ever existed.
Homofilos 3 years ago
National Socialism is socialist, but it is a special kind. It says I am going to do everything I can to protect you and your interests as long as you are the same as me. Hilter created a national identity based on Aryan blood rights and set out to protect and perpetuate that blood right. It is very twisted but in essence it is a form of socialism.
cg66079 3 years ago
The notion of communism you talk about (
cg66079) begun in the cold war when the western media labeled the "communist" all countries governed by communist parties, even if they were far from achieving Marx's dream. So yes, socialism is not the same thing as communism, but in quite another way: Communism is a socialist's objective not it's means.
Socialism is also commonly understood (just as you say) as a more moderate left-wing policy. But that is just another distortion.
Homofilos 3 years ago
Carl Marx wrote the Communist Manifesto not the Socialist Manifesto. Communism is a way of implementing socialism but it isn't the only way of implementing socialism.
cg66079 3 years ago

I liked Senator McCain a lot before but the election process has really given him a whack of the old windmill.
megamarsvin 3 years ago
I agree with you 100 percent. McCain used to be my favorite Senator, I thought he was man for the job... Not.

MCLOBBYIST DOTCOM <<<<<<<<<<<
What does a lobbyist controlled McCain-Palin ticket mean for you? It means lobbyists come first.
McCains top dog, campaign manager Rick Davis, helped pave the way for job losses in Ohio
Senior Foreign Policy Advisor, Randy Scheunemann pocketed $2.6 million lobbying McCain on Soviet interests while on McCains staff. Thats not country first.

Any dissapointments he has with this country HE IS FREE TO SAY.
whitecollarcriminal 3 years ago 5
In my opinion, Rev Wright is all about attention. Listen to his twisted rhetoric, much of it is insanity. However, you are right on in regards to ancient wisdom, who, in their right mind, would want to cut off any communication with an enemy? I'll tell you who, someone who's looking for a fight. McCain is a loose cannon at best. He's too stupid to have developed wisdom, look at his college record -- 894th out of 899... Can we say stupid? Sure, not George W stupid, but stupid none the less.
deanlampe 3 years ago
that's opinion.
I don't believe that at all.
Rev. Wright is an attempt by the hillary Campaign to scare whites into voting for her over Obama. A tactic which FAILED MISERABLY.
What you don't realize that in White and Black and hispanic churches, sermons like these are COMMON.
Only reason we even know who wright is is because Obama is a member there.
At least his membership PROVES he isn't a muslim.
the Right wing throws out lie after lie trying to hurt Obama and it all FAILED.

McInsane/Paleskin have already LOST. I mentioned the fact they have no ideas already. I've known it since the RNC convention.
They are riling their crowds with HATESPEECH and they can't control them anymore because the people are more passionate than the politicians (big suprise).
Palin will probably be LESS hateful when she gives her next speech but the real problem is, all the angry racists and "mad" people who watched the mob reactions on tv and plan to do worse the next time around.
whitecollarcriminal 3 years ago 2
youre 100% right.
all the hatespeech and the racists scare me cuz it feels like there about to be race riots and violent outbursts if it continues.

true story
my friend was adopted by a french diplomat who lives in SC. he had a car accident in 06 and they had to do multiple surgeries to repair damage. he was insured but the total deductible was over $10,000. it was actually cheaper for him to fly to france rent an apartment for a month and get treated than to use his insurance and get treated in the us. how sad is that.

Of course they don't have new ideas, why would a group of people who base all their morals off of a two millenia old book have origonality in their political strategies.

Republicans with new ideas? LOL. That's funny. They're usually based their principals in the past and not thinking of a always changing future.

Proud to be Idiots.
True. It really is. Strangely it often works, so much of America is proud to be stupid and act like cowboys in a china shop.
The wildest, craziest third world dictatorships must look on American politics and take comfort that they are not as stupid, uncontrolled, and randomly abusive.
amiableCDN 3 years ago 9
@amiableCDN Do you even comprehend what you're saying? Just... stop and actually, for once, *think* about what you're saying.
Abusive, you say? Saddam would blowtorch people's skin right off their backs, lay them out on electrified boxsprings and cut eyelids off.
We give swirlies, lock them in well-appointed cells and afford them human rights.
Do your own research, fella. Stop taking the journalists' word for it. Okay?

The whole thing with McCain not wanting to talk to people who are not America's "allies" or "friends" is just the weirdest thing I have ever heard from someone who intends to be the leader of a country. It just seems like the equivalent of covering your ears and going "LALALA I CAN'T HEAR YOU".
beccihiggs 3 years ago 6
Obama should do a quote featuring all the quotes that McCain has stolen from him to show how unoriginal McCain is.
Obama was all about change first, now McCain is. Obama says "McCain just doesn't get it", and McCain now says Obama "just doesn't understand".

TheLB2k6 3 years ago
Tax cuts should be a tool used when conducting fiscal policy, not a central, unchangable pillar of your campaign. This is a problem with today's parties. When you need to raise taxes, you do it, when you can afford to cut them, you consider doing it. When cutting taxes will spur growth, you do it, when more government spending will do a better job, you raise taxes in order to get the revenues to spend on the projects. Government needs to grow a pair and stop catering to the ignorant bases.
HungryNomadicLion 3 years ago 2
I'm not sure this is a result of catering to bases, but rather catering to the common American perception that taxes are always bad. If there's one pillar left for the Democrats to overcome it's the idea that the government is the problem. People don't actually believe that (they cry, for example, when the government isn't for them), but it's much harder to convince people that they actually have to pay for the services they need as a modern, civil, society.
mtf10 3 years ago
i will have to disagree with you good sir cutting taxes to spur growth in a global economy is worthless. in good faith these breaks have been given and guess what technology and out sourcing have not created american jobs. at the end of the day there is no morale obligation by the engines of capitalism. they were given these breaks in good faith and have proven that its more about making money they the health of our economy.

Each side of a conflict has an objective they want. If both sides condede and promote somthing (compromise) it is beneficial to both. Even our enemies (most anyway) are not stupid. If they can achieve their goals with less money, lives and resources they most likely will as long as they get a reasonable offer in return.
