Surprising discission considering minimal costs envolved. I mean the ute is already in production in Australia, the Pontiac front is in production, join the two together and you have it. You could even build them to order by simply slipping a Holden ute onto the G8 production line (where the different front is added) and shipping it with the cars when needed. Your right if you are refering to the G8. Truth told GM owns both Vauxhall and Holden as well as Chevy and Pontiac. That is why the G8 and the Camaro are such good cars though. Both are based on the Zeta platform that was developed by Holden for the VE Commodore. That the Commodore competes with the Ford Falcon in V8 Super Car, further shows the performance instilled into the Zeta platform.
