I love the glock 30. I recommend the glock to anyone. In my state you only have to have a licence for ccl but you don't need one to have a firearm in your possession.
@TheNeanderthaller you are wrong.... a beretta 92 is almost the same price as a Glock. give or take 40 dollars. choice has nothing to do with price. people like Glocks. obviously you don't. I bought an Italian made Beretta for $545 bucks brand new. I also own a Glock 22 that I got for $500. Price don't mean shit. You are talking about 40-50 bucks. Glocks shoot better than Sig IMHO. I used to have a Sig Sauer P226. The key word is used too. The Sig trigger sucks compared to a Glock.
IM A LEFTY AND IVE HEARD THAT GLOCKS CANT BE SWITHCED OVER TO LEFT HAND SHOOTING IS THIS TRUE .. ID LOVE TO BUY ONE BUT IVE USED AMBI MAG DROPS AND IM USED TO IT.. IM SURE ID GET USED TO IT BUT ID NEVER BE AS FAST. ANY INFO WOULD BE WELCOME. THANKS
@GTILOUD well u do have to have a lisence to carry concealed but other than that any1 over age 18 can own a gun, but you are allowed to carry it as long as it is showing
i carry the full size Glock 22rtf and with the right holster it's pretty easy to carry and conceal, but a compact is always going to be easier and more conealable
Always make sure your gun is cleared, No mater how Positive you feel about it. I almost died because i thought my gun was unloaded. I had to learn the hard way, Always check the chamber and make sure the clip is empty if you must place it in the gun. Safety is no joke. don't learn the way i had to.
i will have to agree with everyone hes a newbie.....he needs to realize that other states have diff. gon laws. Suah as arizona where i live.....no license required for open carry...and for concealment its a ccw....also to add....arizona allows adults 18 yrs of age to openly carry. Although they cannot buy from a dealer they can buy from a private seller.....and can recieve it as a gift from a family member...glocks are nice but the XD .45 acp is better......
@justblazin11 Dude, it is super easy to break these things down! I have never had problems breaking mine down. The biggest problem is people pull back to much on the slide when trying to remove it. And don't use much oil when cleaning your glock. Glocks don't like alot of oil. Just a drop or two.
If someone is idiotic enough to take someones 'word of mouth' from youtube as fact as pertaining to something as serious as carrying a firearm in public - they shouldn't be carrying to begin with and deserve whatever criminal charges they get hit with because they obviously lack good judgment/reasoning and are ill equipped to be trusted with that kind of responsibility.
Check your local and state Laws prior to Ever carrying a gun, concealed or otherwise.
And to the Video poster, Yes - you would want to carry in the open.
What better Deterrent to the "Would Be" criminal than seeing law abiding citizens packing? It would make them think twice before mugging someone knowing they have a .40 on their hip.
damn man dont ever stick your finger through the ejection port im in the military and ive seen some people really get messed up cuz they put their finger in the port and just bumped the slide release and its not a pretty sight
Being able to see through the frame is completely normal. That's one of the many reasons that makes the glock a reliable platform. With those types of tolerances between frame and slide, you won't get something stuck between them that will cause a malfunction.
great and comprehensive video. I would like to take up pistol shooting as sport. I guess i am the true beginner. it certainly improve my awareness of the firearm safety
Great insight of frmarm handling and review of glock. as I thinking of choosing glock as my pistol for the club.
How in the world do you think it wieghs more? Or corse it hase more lead in it. You are only looking at the part of the bullet that is out of the casing. What about the rest of the bullet that is inside the case?
hey demissie101 word of advice, next time make sure you show us that the gun is un loaded. make sure you take the magazine out and show us the checking of the chamber. just show us next time.
Not that a Glock is difficult to do with by any means but, why the hell would you HAVE to know how to take your carry piece apart while blindfolded? Is that in anticipation of a very unfortunate incident in which your eyes are shot out in a fight and the first thing you feel like doing is taking your weapon apart? Geeez.
Very nice!!! I bought one myself. As far as ammunition goes you said that a regular full metal jacket cartridge would be okay for self defense? Only problem is that round going through the target and potentially hitting an innocent bystander behind the target. Sorry, just had to get my two cents in. All in all, I would recommend any of your videos to a first time gun owner or someone thinking about purchasing a gun. Very informative and well thought out. Keep up the good work.
Ahh, Glock 23 - my favorite handgun. Nice video and advice, sir. No need for concealed licenses to target practice in most states I know. Of course, there are some stupid statutes out there. Good choice of firearm.
Ok nice first gen/ BUT technically you do not need a license to open carry. Some states have laws against open carry and most frown upon it. It is a license to carry but its full name is concealed pistol license or cpl, also ccw is common which is carry concealed weapon also known as license to carry, but dont think that it includes open carry because a cpl doesnt have anything to do with open carry.
Any way nice gun I have a 23 but mine is a newer 3rd gen bone stock And i like it that way
This idea of a need for license to carry a gun would be frowned upon by the founding fathers. I mean, is the second amendment a RIGHT or isn't it? The idea of needing license, implies that without a license, it would be illegal, which makes the idea of the second amendment being a RIGHT null and void. It's like requiring a license to breathe. As you can see, the idea of licensing a right is an utterly ridiculous concept. What part of "SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED" do our politicians not get?
Great vid! just a thought though..in the state of Georgia and i'm almost certain it's *federal law but nobody under the age of 21 can be in possession of a hand gun. When ya say 'as long as your with a person with a license that is not entirely accurate. In Ga a minor under 21 years old unless he/she is with a parent, can not handle a hand gun..not in a store looking nor at a range shooting. Just thought i'd let ya know.
18 is legal age for owning a Handgun. BUT you must be 21 to purchase the gun from a FFL (federal firearms licensed dealer) I am 19 and have two legally owned handguns, one being a Glock 23 and the other a Taurus pt 22. I purchased both from a private individual. Your state law maybe different but here in Michigan it is very legal. And I have an associate degree in applied sciences to law enforcement.
nice vid man i have the same gun but its newer its like 1yr old. hey i heard that plug you got on it makes the gun keep alot of trash inside. dont know if its true but i dont have a plug on mines.
He's right, this kid on my block was waving one of these around, someone reported him,the SWAT showed up and they busted out of this big van with shiny tactical shotguns i was like "WOW THESE GUYS TAKE THIS SHIT REAL SERIOUSLY."
yeah i just traded a 3rd gen g22 for a 2nd gen g23. I was wanting a 2nd gen g19 but couldn't find one today at the gun show so i opted for this. I think it was worth it.
in my state we don't need a license to buy, sell, trade, shoot, own, handle, or look at a gun. The only thing we need a license for is to carry it, but we have the choice of concealed or open carry. =D
Very good video. You are a serious presenter doing a very good job on explaining some of the basics, as well highlighting the serious responsibility of owning a gun. Keep up the good work. Thanks for the time and effort to keep the rest of us informed.
