Schala was enslaved by her mother to power the machine that woke Lavos, and I think Lavos killed her. Magus was transported to the future and vowed to get revenge on Lavos.

She gets saved by Lavos before she is crushed because he senses the power that she has. She then combines with Lavos because of all the sorrow and pain she endures. It makes him almost unstoppable, unless you use the Chrono Cross on him/her, thus beginning Chrono Cross (The game). If you don't get it, sorry. I'm horrible at explaining.

@MrFavorite01 the chrono cross?i dont think thats in chrono trigger, man. you go and fight the dream devourer, which is schala fused with lavos. but then the game ends with magus losing his memory and trying to find schala. the start of chrono cross is completly different :/

@TheMasterTrainer No, the Chrono Cross isn't in Chrono Trigger. The cartoon ending after you fight the dream devourer is supposedly the continuation of the normal ending where Chrono and Marle get married. The Guardia Kingdom falls to the fiends and the castle gets burned down. The normal ending animation shows a baby that comes out of nowhere and Lucca picks her up. That baby is Schala (Kid in Chrono Cross). Magus takes on a different form in Cross, he doesn't remember anything.

In my opinion, some of the sounds in the 1st half do not work well together. I think I may have actually picked up some dissonance in there as well, but I could be wrong.

(FYI: dissonance is when two tones mix to create a sour note between them. This usually occurs when the two notes are right next to one another on the music scale.)

Schala saved everyone in 12,000 BC. Schala was the only one powerful enough to resist Lavos' power (till the sequel that is) or basically everyone woulda died right at that moment and not just Crono. With her power she saved them. She is definately not the root problem, nor is Queen Zeal. It's simply Lavos.

Lavos manipulates everyone and everything, these words were said at the end of the game...all harvested, all human life - just for its own purpose. Nothing is Schala's fault. Schala FTW!

No, Zeal is not the Cause, nor is any character in the game except for Lavos, obviously. Chrono and his party also were resistant to Lavos' power, because of the fact that they were trying to fight him.

Yep. Well on the behalf of the other hereos; remember they were not born into magic - they learned it from an influenced character of that timeframe. Lavos doesn't have control over those who don't use his own magic powers. Lavos doesn't manipulate anyone that wasn't born or harvested Lavos' power (thus excluding all the rest of the hereos).

Where the hell do you get your info from? Masato Kato wrote the scripts for BOTH of the games, he didn't STEAL anything. He was never fired for CC he left Square Enix to be freelance after designing a plot for FF XI: Rise of the Zilart. Secondly, what about this game FAILED? CC sold more than Trigger and got a Greatest Hits re-release. Sure it wasn't a great sequel every game has its mistakes. Nevertheless, it was still a great game.
