Autologous stem cell transplantation is a procedure by which blood-forming stem cells are removed, and later injected back into the patient. All stem cells are taken from the patient themselves and cultured for later injection. The technique is referred to as a bone marrow harvest and is performed under a general anesthesia. The incidence of patients experiencing rejection is rare due to the donor and recipient being the same individual. This remains the only approved method of the SCT therapy. I agree to some extent, but scientists dont always use animals they use tissues to do experiments instead and there are strict ethical laws in animal use as well. Scientists are good people trying to alleviate suffering, they arent evil as many of the animal rights activists point out in their demonstrations. If all those protestors on the street did something productive with their time like the researchers do, we might find cures for diseases quicker.

Stem cells are a wonderful thing, but if socioeconomic change doesn't occur, stem cell research will only benefit the well-off.
the PKK-turkish conflict has its root in WWI and the land that was promised to the Kurds; no good deed goes unpunished, and that's the bread and butter of politics. The problem of turkish nationalism is not outside turkey, it's in turkey and if that country doesn't embrace democracy, it will collapse from within.
