I just personally think it would be a better investment to get a good, affordable track frame and build it up from there. But I guess if you just want something flashy, aerospokes are the way to go...

LOL! straights bars got to go.. actually pretty much everything's gotta go. ever heard of the saying "u can put lipstick on a pig..."
that frame is old and heavy. the aerospoke is a joke. those wheels are heavy and tend to have a lot of hub problems. you are suppose to replace the hub every 2 years or so.
with the money invested on the wheel set, u shouldve bought a set of mavic ellipse.
It is a top tube protector. it protects my frame from the handlebars flipping around and banging my frame. In addition, it saves my knees from getting bruised when I do harder skids.
I would stil have to say that it looks ugly, but it's probably just the nut guard and white rear wheel. My opinion or not, it doesn't change its great vintage apperance. I have a few questions. What's the brand and make or your wheels? I couldn't find primato on-line. I'm redoing an old bike(Cloumbia, lol) and it needs new wheels. How do you like your wheels? Oh, and nice video.
I'd look for some wiennman Dp-18's if I was looking for a cheap pair of wheels. If I wanted some nicer wheels and depending on the bike, I'd buy either Mavic Open Pro's or Velocity Deep V's
I like what you did with this bike, although I'm not a fixie rider, I just had my 79 tuned up at that bike shop in Ferndale and it rides like new. 8)

I don't understand the negative comments. I think it looks good and you obviously put a lot of time into it. Good job.

jonathan199318 1 year ago
@jonathan199318 they are called spinergys. they dont make them anymore because they break extremely easily.

The aerospoke is a good investment! It is super solid and I feel like it definitely has the durability to last some serious miles to come.

It's about the same weight at my spoked wheels. 3-4lbs maybe? No problems stopping or climbing(although it's pretty flat here in Cleveland)

how do u manage 2 stop. i dont seem to see any brakes. is the crank 2 way? as pedaling reverse will stop.
92luder 3 years ago
It's a fixed gear bike, you use your legs to slow down the pedaling. You can also lock your legs to skid.
DPick983 3 years ago
lol, braking on downhills must be fun then.
92luder 3 years ago
hahaha, its a riot. straight adrenaline rush.

No spinergy for sale, but to fix your skidding problem, try a 17th or 18th cog.
DPick983 3 years ago
that is the best looking bike i have ever seen
no joke
