WOW i havent seen this show in forever! i still have the videotape i used to watch when i was a kid, i had some of the action figures from this show, like that blue octopus thing, and i think a swamp thing figure, and that dr whatshisname that turned into a prune face guy. maaan this brings back soo many memories! also is it just me or did anyone used to think swamp thing kinda looked like batman? i never watched the swamp thing movies but i remember the cartoon alot! haha that rambo guy!:D

There seems to be some confusion in the posts. Alan Moore (everyones favorite anarchist) did not create Swamp Thing. He was created by Len Wein and Berni Wrightson in 1971 in issue #92 of DC comics "House of Secrets", then got his own series which lasted 24 issues. The second series "Saga of the Swamp Thing" came out after the release of the 1982 live-action film but low sales led to DC handing over creative control to Alan Moore.

Watching the Wes Craven film and bouncing back to Alan Moore's swampthing comics, this cartoon seemed far away from the fucked-up-nature of the character......But still, i loved the action figures.

I don't think you would ever have gotten something like Moore's 'The Anatomy Lession' story in this cartoon or seen a John Constantine cameo, but it's kind of funny that when this cartoon was on the air Rick Vietch was trying to do a Swamp Thing story that had Swampy traveling back through time and ending up as the wooden cross that Christ was crucified on,

(it's a true story, I swear) DC Comics stopped that storyline cold.

I had three of the action figures..Bio-glow swamp thing, Camo swamp thing and Bayou Jack. I had the Swamp Trap playset...I never realized as a kid that this cartoon only had 5 episodes....
