Little problem, no kids present and the size was a empty post. I went back snapped a picture, showed the judge, cop admitted it and then stood there while the judge read the riot act to the cop and called his watch commander. NO NO! This is what you do. When you get pulled over for speeding, immediately turn off your car and put both of your hands out the window. When the cop walks up and asks why you're hands are outside, tell him you're doing it for his safety and peace of mind. I do speed sometimes (a little on freeways) but it's generally about 10 mph under everyone else, so the cops don't go after me. Don't let your friends push you into driving faster or more aggressively either. This is why I haven't gotten a speeding ticket in over 35 years of driving. GO SLOW.

@lionel21000 It is all chance, I drove 75 in a 65 for nearly 350 miles past many state troopers in a black lowered highly modified 300ZXTT at 3am and did not get pulled. I have gotten out of many speeding tickets, if you get one always request a supporting deposition(the notes she talks about). Always be courteous, never say anything as ddp1231 said, they know why they pulled you over. Depending on the jurisdiction you can find it easy or next impossible to get out of a ticket.
Hand over your DL and papers and say NOTHING. Everything he needs to know is on the papers. Your are being recorded, so remember your 5th amendment right to SHUT UP. Just take the ticket and go. You can beat it in court....

50 feet doesn't do you much good if the cop gets you on radar and then follows to guage your speed (since most states require more than just radar).. then he'll get YOU. Best to stay about 1/4 mile back behind your "rabbit." so that the cop will have time to pull out.

That said, doing this means that you will be making exactly the same time as they did in the 1950s, and that's just fucking ridiculous. Cars today can easily hold 100 mph for a long, LONG period of time while keeping you in comfort and safety, and the speed limits ought to reflect this, but they don't. Look up Alex Roy, who managed to cross the US averaging something like 120mph, safely and without getting ticketed.

If you get caught lying to the judge they have the ability to ammend the ticket to the wavier maximum (in my state) of $1141. Don't listen to this crap.

@lionel21000 It is all chance, I drove 75 in a 65 for nearly 350 miles past many state troopers in a black lowered highly modified 300ZXTT at 3am and did not get pulled. I have gotten out of many speeding tickets, if you get one always request a supporting deposition(the notes she talks about). Always be courteous, never say anything as ddp1231 said, they know why they pulled you over. Depending on the jurisdiction you can find it easy or next impossible to get out of a ticket.

I've been driving big trucks for twenty year, and I've been pulled over at least a dozen times from speeding to failure to obey signs. I have gotten out of all of them but one by playing dumb. The biggest mistake to say to any cop is: 1.Tell them you know the law and your rights 2. Make a subtle treats with your attorney. 3. Profanity. I've had the unfortunate misery to drive on teams, and my team driver would say one of these three things when he got pulled over. You can imagine what they did

50 feet doesn't do you much good if the cop gets you on radar and then follows to guage your speed (since most states require more than just radar).. then he'll get YOU. Best to stay about 1/4 mile back behind your "rabbit." so that the cop will have time to pull out.
As for the "real speed limit," that's 10 mph over posted: THAT'S "bait" too-- bait by cops, to get YOU to drive faster than the posted limit!

If you don't want a speeding ticket, not speeding is the easiest solution. That said, doing this means that you will be making exactly the same time as they did in the 1950s, and that's just fucking ridiculous. Cars today can easily hold 100 mph for a long, LONG period of time while keeping you in comfort and safety, and the speed limits ought to reflect this, but they don't. Look up Alex Roy, who managed to cross the US averaging something like 120mph, safely and without getting ticketed.
