  • Hi bhavna,

Sorry I am asking you alot but I didnt find the video of fondant making on that site so thougt of telling you.

  • @Mysankin

    Hi

I don't have video yet but just written recipe can be found on site.

  • Hi Bhavna,

I saw your Mcqueen video it was just awesome. It inspired me alot & m sure going to try this next time. If you had video let me know how you can make fondant at home because I dont think I can get here where I live. N in between how does this fondant tastes like ?

Thanks alot for this suggestion. I saw coupke of video regarding fondant but this was th most excited one !!!!!

  • @Mysankin Hi

You can add flavors to fondant as well just like you do anything with frosting, you can do with fondant but it is kind of dough rather than soft frosting. So basically you can create anything out of it. And I already have recipe on the same website for fondant.

  • Hi

Thanks for suggesting that website regarding fondant and I made cake with cream frosting so I kept in refrigerator but I guess I have to keep it covered to avoid getting stiff.

Will surely try for fondant next time......

  • @Mysankin

    HI

Yes, fondant is a great way to decorate your cake with any theme you want. I made Mcqueen cake for my son and he couldn't believe, I can make McQueen cake but it was so fun...

  • Hi

Do you have any video regarding fondant ?? N what do you think why did my cake became stiff from outer layer after refrigerated ??

  • @Mysankin

    HI

Visit website veggierecipevideos(dot)com for fondant recipe under mcqueen cake. Now for cake, we are not using egg but other egg substitute so it is going to change many things such as texture and when you referigerate, egg substitutes release moisture and it may get stiffy...so I usually do not referigerate cakes unless i use cream frosting.

  • Hi, bhavna

I tried this cake on my anniversary i.e this valentines day & it came out really well. Only my frosting didnt came out stiff enough to make a rose even after using arrow root powder can you tell what might be the reason for this ? And one more thing borders that the outer part of cake became stiff after i refrigerated it is it because i did not cover it ?

Thanks for this recipe enjoyed making it and everybody appreciated too .......

  • @Mysankin

    HI

Happy to hear that cake came out good. But about frosting, use next time fondent instead of frosting.

  • Hi bhavna ,

I want to know what can be used instead of vinegar in this cake recipe ? N I have red food colour in powder form so should I take the same measurement (2 tablespoon) as you did for red colour liquid ? Because I want the same red colour as you got in your video. Lastly, I don't have a cooking spray so can I coat that baking dish with oil so that cake comes out easily.

    Thanks !

  • @Mysankin

    Hi

You can use dry color. Add little at a time till batter gets nice red color. YOu can leave out vinegar if you don't have. There is no substitute for vinegar.

  • Hi Bhavna, how would you make an eggless red velvet cake with a cake mix instead of making it from scratch?

  • @savinji

    Hi

When I use ready cake mixes, i just follow package instruction and replace egg with yogurt or just add liquid ingredient little more than it asks for, for example, if it asks for 1/2 cup milk, I add 3/4 milk something to get right consistancy of batter. And they always turn out great. Hope this helps and also don't forget to watch my vids shown in very begining cakes made with ready cake mix specially chocolate cake.

  • @SuperVeggieDelight So if the cake mix asks for 3 eggs I should instead put 3/4 cup of yogurt (1/4 cup for each egg)?

  • @savinji

    Hi

You can add up to 1 cup yogurt. Or just use milk to get batter consistancy right.

  • @SuperVeggieDelight Thanks for your help, I love your recipes!

  • Can we use Soy milk instead? Or what would you recommend for Lactose Intolerant people?

  • @secretduet

    Hi

Yes, you can use soy or coconut milk but will change flavor little bit.

  • Very nice and well done. Specially those tips about making your own stuff out of the kitchen. Thank you for this video.

  • @TheOlavarria49

    Hi

  • @MissFigglegiggle

    HI

Thanx for corrections...enjoy! As I said I don't try to find faults but some people just try to be oversmart and don't really appreciate variations from cultures...so

  • @SuperVeggieDelight i removed my previous comment as i was not trying to be smart ...i think it was a bit rude for their comment...nothing at all wrong with how your accent is...as i said im scottish & understand you fine...but then if you spoke in your native language i would not have a clue :D x

  • @MissFigglegiggle

Sorry but I did not say about you. I was trying to say for the user who tried to find fault in me and he/she did not have clue about pronoun...so really you did not need to remove comment at all....

  • @SuperVeggieDelight i know you didnt mean me, i removed as i had wanted to help you but did not want to have any negativity on your posts x

  • @MissFigglegiggle

  • i really enjoy your videos! thank-you. i hope you have a great holiday season. i live in a place with no counter space and i am always envious of your spacious kitchen. did you ever post a recipe for saag paneer? it is one of my favourites and i would love to try to make it. by the way your english is quite good and very easy to understand. i think your accent is super cute.

  • @screaminmeani

    HI

I have posted written recipe on site but not video, yet...will sure show soon. Till that time, you can enjoy Palak Paneer which is similar to Saag paneer....I have posted easy way of making it in my recent video...enjoy!

  • @SuperVeggieDelight Your pastries look awesome! Also, whoever's trolling your English is obviously a racist dipshit because your english is just fine. Half the people that are born and raised around english can barely speak or write it as the grammar Nazis intend. The YT community really appreciates your Indian cooking videos. God bless you and yours.

  • Red # 40 which is from the very bad Monsanto company gets this color from the cochineal insect,so iam not sure that this can be considered a vegetarian cake .Some say you cannot make a proper"red velvet"without Red # 40, but id rather not give a penny to Monsanto . Sorry for the Debbie Downer report but i had to let it out . Try beet juice :)

  • @marco9bear

    Hi

    Thanx for sharing...

  • PLAGIARISM is BAD. and you know you have copied this from the original one posted on youtube. search for joyofbaking com velvet cake.

  • @dream2s

Red velvet cake is very common recipe. If you search online, most recipes will have same ingredients, I did not copy from the one you listed anyway since my recipe is eggless and there are no eggless red velvet cake available on net...so better not say BAD...

  • wonderful! i already havea recipe i use for red velvet but i want to try yours because it is eggless :)

  • @amarie1189

    HI

Can you share your recipe please? I always would love to learn if someone does different. Thanx!

  • @SuperVeggieDelight

i would love to! but the problem is that this cake is not eggless, and there are 3-4 eggs which makes it harder to use dry egg replacer. I have never tried using dry egg replacer for this cake.

  • Thanks

  • @cupcake12383

  • @007kanan

    HI

Thanx for sharing....I did add vinegar late though so it activated soda better when you add vinegar...not only listed site but most recipes I looked online had same ingredients.....
