These types of films although informative for many are best left untill the political climate appears less racist, if ever.No good comes of it, don't find it particularly entertaining the negatives for me out-way the positives.

I found this movie quite depressing, i was raised in Europe and my parents or grandparents dont share the same history of African Americans, there were parts in the movie that disturbed me, like white people thinking that black people had certain diseases and that they could catch it if they shared the same toilet, i got no positive feelings from watching this movie, although the acting and cast was good. The total injustice of that time made me sick, things are just a smidgen better today..

i can't tell you how much this movie and those three phrases have helped me. I've never had someone love me and make me feel special not even my own family. I was raised by baby sisters my whole life because my mom doesn't care about me and hates having to deal with children. I cry every time i hear her say those three phrases because i wish i had someone say that to me when i was younger. This gives me hope.
