Dreamweaver CS5 Tutorial: Clearbox Gallery (Make a photo or video gallery !!!)

How would you go about haveing someone click on the image thumbnail and haveing more than one image in the clearbox gallery. Like i would click on the image and it would load all images in that gallery, i would click on a different thumbnail and it would load all the images in that gallery. I want to have more images within in my galleries, but without haveing to place each image i want in them on the webpage. Is there a way to have clickbox auto load them in after clicked on the thumbnail?

For some reason when i select one of my images instead of fading in and displaying the image, it opens up a new tab on my browser and displays the image their. Has anyone come across the same situation. If so, can you inform me on how you fixed it.

@Yassin262626 lol u mean u want the images not to have an inline attribute but BLOCK ATTRIBUTE , all u need  to do is put them inside a div in such a manner that the div whose width is small enough not to allow inline behavior and images fall under each other , keep height auto .

I just found it on the Adobe Exchange for Dreamweaver and in the gadgets. When you click on the right bottom add to my widgets. It just downloads it automatically into your program when you click on the bottom. Of course you need to have the program.

What I was asking is do I need to create a separate folder on my server for the .js and everything that came with the clearbox in order for it to work?

Thank you very much for your clear instructions on how to create the clearbox. I got everything right like you explained in your video. Forgive me I am new to this. What do I need to do when uploading the html that my clear box is on to the server? I know that there is something that I do with the .js and so on files that came with the clearbox. Please let me know. I will check back for your answer. Or maybe you can do a short video on that. Thank you for all your help.

@Debralovesfun everything thats on you local site folder ..any .js or .css file all folders must hit the remote server ..through lets say filezilla ..making sense brother ? ...but be sure the home file is called index.htm or index.html and must be uploaded too..any doubts now ?

try pointing the the thumbs and respective bigger pics once again using the link / src option in the properties inspector below ...try chorme or IE to preview ..not firefox ...in some cases there are issues with compatibility with some versions ..lemme know

hey how do you actually copy the thumbnails into your images folder. I can only copy my images there and then when I try to replace your thumbnails with mine, it opens way too big. PLEASE HELP!!!

@maissouflaii hi There! you will need to use a program like Photoshop or fireworks to resize and create your own smaller thumbnails and place them next to the images, while pointing the files ..if its a thumbnail u need point towards the smaller pic...(just a smaller version of the original image), Do u think u can do it now?

I have 10 pictures so I have to go into photoshop and resize them into smaller sizes and save them as thumbnails to my images and place them into my image folder for clearbox and then when I point the file so I can click on the picture, they must be the thumbnails?? This is what I am understanding is that correct?

@maissouflaii yes u must resize each and every picture...if u wish u can use borders/bevels/dropshadow.. around them using the same programs( optional). so if yr original pic was 750x 750 px , 75 x75 is a good size for your thumbnails

Also I am making a website for my assignment, and for the last page of my assignment I wanted to use clearbox, but the layout of my website must remain the same through out each page. Will I be able to somehow insert my clear box into the main content part of my layout instead?

@maissouflaii oic, i think what you are saying is instead of using it completely on a full page , u are required to use it inside a DIV / container that corresponds to the website..All i can say is give it a try and tell me how it went..im not 100% confident ..it might or might not work as i havent tried using this alternative..in case it doesnt work..try using Iframe, if u dont know what they are Google Iframes..
