I grew up listening to Elvis my entire life. My grandmother loved him, My mother loved him, My father loved him. I'm a musician and I can tell you this guy may be close but he is no dead ringer. His movements are way too forced to be like the real Elvis.
He was a dead ringer back in the '80s for sure, I remember that. He does a good '70s Elvis, but no one compares to his '60s tribute. It's one of the most natural acts you'll find in tribute to EP.
Good lord Ricks ben in the business for a while but I dont really cre to see conway twitty doing Elvis. hats about what your getting a conway look alike. with a trent carlini voice
Whoah, he's a big dude, and he's got the voice to match. Excellent! Needs to study EP's movements some more, though. More controlled "twitching". Great stuff, though!!!
I know what you mean, but I'm a huge Rick fan (on youtube only - I'm from Oz) and I figure he does Elvis with his his own impression and feeling. As you say it's great stuff and I prefer to see a Tribute where the guy has real feeling but it's a bit different to Elvis, rather than some contrived impression where its obvious the guy is trying too hard. He's not Elvis but he's just as good to watch... imho anyway...
I see a couple disparaging comments about Rick here and I guess to each his own. I can say this being a performer in the Chicagoland area for several yearsI generally have not cared for other performers attitudes. I have worked in many of they same places as Rick and met him several times in passing. I have found him to be very kind, considerate, and easy going. Nice guy. Unlike many others. You are still doing a great job Rick. Timmy D
I was at a wedding in Chicago where this fat hack performed. He charged $100.00 per song and proceeded to drool over all of the young women there. He is AWESOME!
If it was him, your figures are wrong. It wouldn't have been $100 per song. There were many ETAs in Chicago in '96, maybe you're thinking of someone else. There's also the chance he was there but wasn't the ETA performing. That's been known to happen.
I have been an Elvis fan since I was 2. I am now 39 and have seen Rick 3 times live and have never had so much respect for a tribute artist! I was 9 when Elvis died. It was my only chance to step in a time machine and feel Elvis' magic! He is incredible! I am a closet Elvis impersonator and Rick sets the bar.
I think when people say that Shawn's concerts are "Groundklush Day" I gotta agree. It's often the same tired 70's moves & face-pulling. At least Rick is Rick - and he has a bigger voice, too.
Look, Shawn doesn't look like Elvis (it's called make-up & hair extensions -he taps into the essence, sure, but has an inconsistant voice. Somebody described his concerts as GroundKlush Day: same recycled moves. Eddie is good, but having heard Dwight Icenhowser sing hurt, he has it over the lot! Church in his prime was great, but listento Dwight and it's as if Elvis was singing.
To be fair, this was 2 years ago, the band is much better now, although this isn't that bad compared to the many other ETA bands i've heard over the years
I can remember when Trent was close to the best. About 15 years ago, he performed with Rick back-to-back at the Holiday Star in an Elvis tour. However since then, Trent's kind of slipped lately, after Shawn Klush being named #1 over him.
as far as recreating the 68 era of elvis' career i used to think he was the best..but him in black leather outfit and it was great, but as i said the attitude did it for me,and iam a rick saucedo fan..
doug church is pretty good...martin fontaine, aside from his looks, is not. he looks great, but sounds nothing like elvis. his elvis story looks cool, a lot like Rick Saucedo's Elvis Musical on Broadway in 1978. The Elvis Legend Lives play done by Rick on Broadway covered the entire Elvis career in different acts and he had the Jordanaires and DJ Fontana. 50's, army, movies, 68 special, concert...it was breath-taking.
Well, I've never been to spain, and I've never seen Elvis - but this guy is GREAT! Ok, he's a little on the portly side, but his moves, inflections, etc, are spot-on.
I seen Rick at my sons school last year. I talked to the lead guitar player and he told me that they play for several Elvis performers and Rick was by far the best they play for. Rick was awesome.
i forst seen rick in september 77 in middletown ohio at the old lesoursdville amusement park..joined his fan club.seen him at bobby mackeys in kentucky and the cincinnati gardens all in late 77 78 79..glad to see his is still going strong one of the best in the business which includes only a handful. rick has been doing elvis before elvis died. one of the originals u may say.doug church, jamie aaron kelly r also good.
i've seen many impersonators, doug church included, and in my opinion Rick is the most entertaining and enjoyable elvis tribute to watch. Not only does he capture the Elvis spirit, but Rick's own original songs that he wrote are just as great.
Doug Church has a good voice, I haven't seen him in years however. He's up towards the top along with Rick Saucedo and Shawn Klush, kind of like the Top 3.
DOUG CHURCH tops all others. He has Elvis' voice, both speaking and singing, down to a "T". I have listened in a non-biased way to every impersonator on YOUTUBE and DOUG CHURCH is by far the BEST. (I do not know any of the performers and have no vested interest in my comments).
many impersonators rely on the fancy suits, wigs and fake accents to pay tribute to elvis, fortunately rick doesn't need any of that, he sets the standard and knows what to do. No wigs, just his own hair. Most of the time he keeps it simple and wears two piece outfits, jackets, or simple white suits. At big productions like this video, they request a certain Elvis "era" from Rick like a movie era or 70's era and Rick does it as authentically as possible.
I'm personally not really into Elvis Impersonators, however Rick Saucedo is an exception to the rule, he is what paying a Tribute to Elvis is all about!
NOT BAD.

Looks like we've got a case of mistaken identity. Not sure where you got the $100 per song thing...not even close, nor does he charge by the song.

Sorry. It was Rick "Elvis" Saucedo. The wedding was on the south side of Chicago in about 1996.

Rick didn't just go to Spain - he ate it! Eddie Miles leaves Klush in the dust and Rick in the shit: check out his duet with the late Charlie Hodge.

hahaha you have gotta be kidding. Eddie Miles? He's ok, better than some, but Shawn's looks and Rick's voice put Eddie to shame.

You don't have to buy expensive jumpsuits, hair and etc to do a tribute. A nice suit would do just fine.
