Lol.good shit there.Same thing with me big man..i get hicups reall bad then my ears start ringing like im going insane. Then i think..its just the insane heat driving nme insane.I think I might die.classic
@4HitsWilystyle Yea, we will be doing a few sauce test soon & next spring I'm gonna be trying to grow some bhuts, scotch bonnets & scorpions along with the usuall crop, so I know she will be wanting to do some of those with me.
I think this is the one I just ate. My uncle calls them scorpion red habaneros. I looked at pix of them and it looks the same as the caribbean red habanero. I just had half on my turkey sandwich but ow. My throat wasn't so bad. Mainly my tongue and gums. Lol I was thinking the same about it tasting like I might die. My face was tingling and I was drooling and my nose flowed like niagara falls.
@lance22me Thanks, I'm sure you can. There's nothing special about me or anyone else that enjoys spicy food other than having built up a tolerance & enjoying the heat. Even though it isn't very enjoyable in extreme cases, we feel the same heat others feel, it's just a matter of getting used to it. Just push the envelope a bit at a time, & you'll be there in no time. And once you get used to the heat, a whole new world of flavors will be at your door step. Thanks for watching & commenting.
@1Bonehed Sounds cool. I planted a pepper garden with stuff available at local nurseries, mostly Halapenos, some Thai-like peppers and a few run of the mill Habs. I did order seeds online so I have some Bhuts, Choc Habs, Scotch Bonnets, and other stuff planted as seed though 23 days into it no sign of life. I'd love to be able to do a test like you did, maybe if I start out chewing Jalapenos or Serranos?
@lance22me You got the makings for a killer chile garden. The way I got into chiles is a little taste of a particular chile then found different recipes that used them or a recipe of my own that I thought the flavor would work well with. As my tolerances built up, got hotter & hotter, then just kinda threw myself to the wolves & started trying them whole. Mexican & Asian dishes are a good starting point. When you experiment, do it in small quantity and should be fine.
@redshiftdevelopment Thanks for the comment. As you said, they have a bit of a bite to 'em. Gonna plant some Bhuts & Trinidads next spring along with usual crops 'cause can't find 'em around here. I'm anxiously awaiting the Bhut Jolokia :-/
These are my favorite peppers, they have a flavor and aroma that you just can't find in any other variety except maybe the Brown Scotch Bonnet. Great yields too.
@Doom2pro Same here, I love my habanero chiles. I wanna grow some scotch bonnet chiles because I've noticed sauces that uses them have a really neat flavor. Can only imagine what the chile taste like. Next spring gonna try to grow a few, as well as some Bhuts, Scorpions, & a few asian chiles.
@WatchBlueSkies Thanks, yea I got the hiccups from that one right away. Had a slight sweet hab taste to it but the heat was instantly powerful. Hottest hab I've ever tried. It was worth it.
Those look warm. I'm picking about 1 or 2 orange habaneros a day. That seems to be about the rate they are ripening. I need to get some of those habs, i bet it is a monster.
@DudeManSharp They were hotter than Orange Hab. To be honest, I like the Orange Hab better as far as taste, sweeter and fruitier, but Caribbean Red Hab definately will find a place in my kitchen.

so how did your stomach feel later on?
182cjr 1 year ago
@182cjr I didn't have any bad side affects from it. The big trick on that is to eat something before. Don't EVER eat one on an empty stomach.
