I am a "fan" of them (specially JJ) since I was a little girl of 14
I saw them 1st time in August 1979 (The Raven Tour) in Cascais (Lisbon). I was so exciting ahahah I had to run from home with a friend to go see them ah ah ah
Concert of my life with Gang of Four to open the show. 2 amazing shows! Long Life The Stranglers. Have they new stuff?
Very Good, just wish Cornwell was still there, but still a lot of passion and I can understand what they are singing.
I wonder if anyone has any film of them at The Kinema in Dunfermline?
I can't remember any cameras in the early days, plus the Stranglers would usually put some poor poet geezer out before they came on, made the crowd wait ages, usually a fight ir 2 broke out before they came on.
Wow...makes me feel like a young punk again! The Strangs were one of those few bands that sounded as good or better live than their studio stuff...saw 'em twice live at First Avenue in Mpls (once without Hugh...) and they were amazing....
@paddymacinblack : i suppose " No More Heroes" album was never an underrated album (at least not in my heart), but it was top ten in England, i think also in France and also most of rest of Europe and No More Heroes-single was even Top Ten in Germany. Dave is a very under-rated keyboard player.
@MrSKINFLICK ..Sometimes is actually from "RATTUS",..personally (not in my heart either1!), I feel ALL Stranglers work in the view of the "critiques" is very underrated!. Rattus is an AWESOME Album, it helped shape the face of rock music as we know it today,.yet you will never find it on anyT.V. progs or wotever, being highlighted as a "classic" album! NMH for me is ALSO a fantastic album, but the critics in general always underate it as , too soon and similar 2 rattus. It's MAGIC of course,:)
@paddymacinblack There was a lot of jealousy back in 1976/77, The Stranglers opened for the Ramones and Patti Smith top ten selling albums (but the clash wanted a cool band with a cool name like them), pushed a lot of noses out of joint.
sometimes, your gonna get some stick! go on jet...dmt.

wow, just like the old days. Baz is good on this one, although his telecaster sounds a bit too gentle...
