Thankfully it is not being captained by an Italian or he would have hit the pillars of the bridge. It is amazing to see how much knowledge is held by those who govern the ship.
Think about if they crash our bridge here in Denmark, we have't pay it full yet....So what would happen? No more Cola and cakre to the Danish people? ;(
@fujifame1 Depends on the amount of traffic and sidewinds. Those 65 metres will be probably be a minimum standard since all constructions and calculated after maximum bending, and the 65 metres is probably the lowest point of tolerated downward flex.
they knew it already that it can pass under the bridge...they just want to impress d watchers that they have a good capt and navigator as well...im not bliv of wat u did men...your just trying to poison our mind to empress us that what u did was amazing...ew

Its going to be quite a while before any company surpasses RCI's Oasis class as the Belt Bridge stands in the way of ship design. The only ship yards big enough to build the next generation of ships are the Masa Yards in Finland on the other side of the bridge.
@davidoftheseas, actually the shipyard in Turku can not build bigger ships than the Oasis - the dry dock is not long enough. Fortunately there are other, bigger ships around the world. Also, there has been no such thing as "Masa Yards" for years...
The cruise Captians and their crews should be getting all kinds of props for their ability to navigate the seas as well as they do- especially when it comes to obsticles like this bridge.
no se a quien se le habra ocurrido la brillante idea de construir ese maldito puente tan bajito por donde tenia que pasar esta bestia, perdonalos dios mio...
I read about it in the news days before it was going to happen. And I am going over that bridge almost daily, so it was quite interesting to see it on the video. It's a nice ship by the way. It has more than 2000 staff members! That is what I call a crew! Aiy aiy captain!!
captain looks like gary busey. but imagine it it was the Buse piloting the ship... -.- lol
