There was a program like this, around the same time but about videogame addiction, hosted by Dominic Diamond - But this one was seen by every parent, everywhere, and they all had the same reaction - ban them!.

We had our computers taken away based on some mal-informed tabloid TV garbage, I'll never forgive D.Diamond for that one, git. Anyone who liked computers was instantly labeled an addict - all my friends suffered because of that one.

Some interesting comments by the kids. Nice to see the guy at the end encouraging both video games and outdoor games - a lot of people around then (and some nowadays, but less of them) claimed that video games were completely useless and turned kids into zombies - but we know that many computer games have a positive effect on intelligence.
