Thank you for sharing the audio of this song. As a Donna Summer fan, it is a highlight for me to finally hear this song after just reading about it. Cheers! Donna ever since has been a gifted vocalist.
Ok do what u want to do, thats fine with me of course. But i just see it completely different than u do, that's obvious :) Btw; what is "real music"? When trying to define what "real" music is, the deal is NOT to let just your own taste guide you, right?!
This track was Donna's first record made with Giorgio Moroder and Pete Bellotte back in '74. The Hostage and Lady Of The Night came after. There is a German version by Su Kramer called Fremder Mann, which uses the exact same backing track & singers. Also produced by Moroder and Bellotte.
I don t agree with u mate.... i like this song a lot but her latest album even more! Her latest album is one of her best...a modern nowadays one :P I dont understand all those peeps suggesting donna should go with the modern flow, that she should stick in her old days....she her self even doesnt want that! She hates being identified even nowadays as the queen of disco and i can t argue her for that :D
rectification: the sentence ...."I dont understand all those peeps suggesting donna should go with the modern flow" has to be rewritten in ..."I dont understand all those peeps suggesting donna should NOT go with the modern flow", off course :)
Well if she keeps making music like ''Crayons'' she's gonna lose even more fans. She's obvisiously thinking of herself these days and not her fans and in the end she will get no recognition for the crap music she brings out.
She should want to be remembered as the ''queen of disco''.
I know what she's trying to do, she's trying to reinvent her image by escaping from her old music and changing her musical style completely so it sounds like computerised garbage. She can't escape her roots.
Best artists in the world and history r the 1s who make things by their own self, let things come out from their own inside + spirit, NOT the ones who create things coz others, like fans, want them to....If the artist does this last thing, it very very often becomes a cheap, commercial based artist and after a while its work will not be remembered, it has no signification anymore. I think everyone should do what he himself wants to, not what others want 'm 2 do. Thats freedom. Fan = not dictator
That's fine with me, she can make whatever music she wants (spiritually or not spiritually) but I don't have to sit around wasting my time listening to it.
I no longer want anything to do with Donna Summer if she's gonna make more music like ''Crayons'' i'll stick with her old real music like this fantastic song.

Crayons was bad, but she has to stay in time with today. There was one classic,Be Myself Again, superlative Songwrtiing and vocal by Donna
