  • Who won? You or the drink? Cute accent, by the way. =P

  • Oh, definitely me! :D

  • Good luck! I know you can make it :) You can always try making your own iced coffees to help the craving

  • Yeah, I've played around with a few different replacements. But nothing's quite the same. I think I've settled on water, lol - probably the healthiest choice!

    -Jess

  • That is an awesome idea. Don't break down, stay strong!

Tell you what, if you stick to this for the month of March I'll quit smoking and do the same thing with the money I would have spent on cigarettes to Shawn. So now you have another reason not to cave! (Video response to come, presently at work)

  • Ooh, not I have to stick with this! Quitting smoking's a much bigger, and much tougher sacrifice, but I'd be so excited to see you do it!

    -Jess

  • Well, I've been looking for a good excuse, and this seems perfect. I'm also hoping we can get a few other to jump on the band wagon to give up a luxury item for one month and donate the money saved to a selected charity or The Uncultured Project. Excellent idea Jess, looking forward to see if we can get this to spread.

  • That is awesome Jessica!!

    really cool!

    good luck!

    -Mary Kate

  • Thanks MK!

    -Jess

  • Wow - my brother had an ice cap addiction back in high school (probably still does). I myself am a fan of the french vanilla at Tim's. So I can relate to what your going through and the sacrifice your making :)

    Best wishes! - Shawn

  • Haha, I'm glad someone understands my sacrifice!

    Keep up the amazing work!

    -Jess

  • You are so awesome!

    /Benny

  • You are too!

    :D

    -Jess

  • Jess I'm really excited to see how this goes.

I love those darned icecaps so much, too! <3

But my real Tim's addiction is the Egg and Cheese Breakfast Sandwiches! Fortunately, they stop selling those at 11am, otherwise I'd be buying them all the time.

I wish you all the best of luck! <3

  • Honestly, I don't think I've ever tried the breakfast sandwiches. I eat at Tim's all the time, but I'm not particularly adventurous. Iced caps, hot chocolates, ham and swiss, and the occasional doughtnut or timbit lol...

    -Jess

  • I miss ice caps!

But yeah, I really admire your determination to help out with global social justice issues. Horray Jess!

  • I miss iced caps too! lol

I really hope I'll be able to do more things like this in the future. I have lots of ideas, just no time.

    -Jess

  • good luck :)

  • Thank you!

    -Jess

  • Haha good luck! :-)

  • Thanks!

    -Jess

  • j-dog! great idea! I wish I was given a choice. they don't have those down here...

    :-(

    ~Samar

  • Right now, I'm wishing I didn't have a choice. I see seven different Tim Horton's daily between home, school and work. The temptation is killing me!

    -Jess

  • you can do it J-dog! I believe in you!

    ~Samar

  • Good luck! Tis a good thing you're doing! :D

Those things looks mighty tasty though! :P

  • WAY too tasty!

    Thanks for the well wishes!

    -Jess

  • Wow that's awesome Jess! and think of how it will help your health not drinking so many! :) so it's win win! :)

I have to really start thinking about saving money now that I know what I want to do in a year or so! Maybe I'll start looking at the little things I buy and do the math on how much I actually spend a year!

    <3

  • Yeah, I'm curious how it might affect my physical health. I'm really struggling not to replace them with some other junky drink or snack right now lol.

My mental health, on the other hand, might be headed straight downhill!

    -Jess

  • That's a great Idea Jessica.

Good luck :D and guilt is a pretty powerful force. Combine it with will power and I'm sure that seal will remain sealed :D

Some random stuff I remember from T.V - Apparently, will power can be exhausted in a given amount of time (such as a day or so). So careful what you use it on :D

    Best wishes,

    -David

  • Hm, I've never heard that about will power... interesting! We'll see if I can make mine last, lol.
