Nydus Canals are never used. Good players can notice when it's being built in your base. Plus, it's very high tech, builds very slow, and when you destroy its end in your base, then the threat's been nullified for a while.

What the fuck are you talking about? I never said anything about building nydus canells in a different zerg players base, i mean connecting your own bases together.. So all of your expos will have the same one army.. You clearly need to use nydus canells more. "builds very slow" it takes 40seconds to build... thats one of the fastest buildings in the game.. If you dont use this you likely play BGH or fastest where you dont need to expo.

In StarCraft 2, there will be Nydus Worms as the only option for transporting. I use the Nydus Canals for island transporting without Overlords, and I don't even have those maps, thank god. My expos are so well defended by my troops that I've so far never been attacked by my enemy. I always have about 24 Zerglings burrowed in each expo, and for attack, I unburrow them all and attack the base.

I have to agree with the "Anti-hotkey" group. To have a small group of vultures, who isn't going to do any REAL damage, hotkeyed to EACH OF YOUR 10 HOTKEYS seems kind of pointless.

Particularly when you can have, say, unit production buildings hotkeyed and quickly build shit while microing in combat.

Also, you have to figure that, in that situation, you're planning on losing about half of your vultures anyway, so why bother with hotkeys? Then you have to figure out which lived and which died.

you would have to hotkey 2 or more vultures in the same number key

while on march or during battle their positions mix up constantly and if you order the two vultures that are too far away from each other in the same key to lay mines, they won't or lay the mines way off the destination.

By the way hotkeying vultures will just mess most people up since they already got a few key numbers used for other units already.

i only use my hotkeys to move units around the map, to retreat, and to chase down fleeing units. sometimes you gotta micro your units one a time.

The reason he was still using mines when there was only one Dragoon left was to prevent the loss of anymore Vultures. You can see that two of the remaining 10 Vultures are already fully in the red zone. He used the mines to keep the Dragoon from attacking because the mines will force the Dragoon to move.
