I disagree, I liked how the starting clips gave a sense of joy and optimism, whilst at the same time giving a sense of impending doom, like something really bad is around the corner. I didn't like how the trailer summed up the whole film in two minutes. They shouldn't have included vietnam footage or the ending footage with nick. It would've left the viewers intrigued with what was about to happen. They wouldve known something bad was going to happen, from the "deer hunter" screens. Apologies f

Where was John Savages Oscar nomination in this movie? I thought he was AMAZING!!! But I have to admit, the true stand-out in this movie was Christopher Walken.
