thank you for taking the time to create these, they are very helpful - I'm a bass player since 85, and I used to have a ton of effects pedals when I sat in my parent's basement and played.. Since I play in bars now, I don't use any effects at all - but the band is wanting to do Muse's "Uprising" - I figure this would be a good pedal for that (and I can play around with adding it into some other material) - but can you tell me - how muc DO you loose over all volume when you use this on stage?
@silveroon009 Probably not. The one distorted part he has in that song is done with a Colorsound Tonebender, which has more of an overdriven/grindy sound.
ive just bought this pedal. I play in an ambiental-electro-postrock band (oh well i dunno other words to describe our music, sorry). would you give me your suggestion about the setting i should use? currently my setting is volume 12 o clock, tone 1 o clock, and max sustain. thankies :)
im looking for a "vintage, bass ran through a guitar amp with blown paper speakers" sound if you know what i mean by that. what do you think would help me achieve that sound? btw great GREAT vids. have really helped my define my sound as a bassist.
Hmm...not so sure about that one. If you have any references to the sound you're referring to, let me know and I'll see. I know there's a Devi Ever pedal called Torn's Peaker that's supposed to sound like an excurting/torn speaker- I haven't heard it myself. And thanks for checking out the vids :)
I realize this comment came in months ago, but it sounds like what he/she is looking for is the old Black Sabbath sound, when Geezer was (literally) playing through an amp with blown speakers because that's what he had.
If you like the sound of it better than it is way better for you. For someone who doesn't, it won't be better :) There's no better or worse- just what works best for you.
could i use this pedal to get the sound cliff burton used on anesthesia (pullng teeth)?

Do you think this would work to get a sound like Justin Chancellor's (from Tool) on Jambi?

To all your questions:
1. Haven't tried the Line6, so I can't help you there.
2.. It should do fine for those old Metallica tunes if the tone and sustain are turned up fairly high.
3. Haven't used it with a wah, so can't help you there either- sorry!
