  • Simplemente sorprendente. vi la bandera de mi venezuela siempre presente :D

  • love this song expecially live! does anyone know what sunglasses aschroft is wearing?

  • FUCKING LOVE REAL MUSIC

  • Kids, this is what you should've listened to. Not that girl - what's the name? Justine Bieber?

  • @dianmarin I was a kid when this came out and I loved listening to it. Bah..a sad thing these new kids only get shit to listen to. It's like a complete fucking brainwash.

  • @UltraRockSounds I still AM a kid, I reckon. I am seventeen and I just can't stand today's music - Justin Bieber, Ke$ha, Lady Gaga? I mean, seriously? I love 90s stuffs like Oasis and The Verve, maybe a little Coldplay and Kasabian. Most of today's music arent as sincere as their stuffs - they arent composed by heart and there's no sense of art in them. It's all about sex, parties, getting drunk and wasted and stupid love stories wrapped in autotuned melodies. Those un-genuine shites bore me.

  • @dianmarin The sad thing is there are much better bands out there that simply don't get signed because they're not particularly what the record companies are looking for. The big major labels of today just focus on little teens who generally don't have any musical knowledge and the idea is to sell sell sell. All they do is repeat the formula. I see today's music as Fast food (Crappy and good to go). There's no meaning in mainstream music anymore. To me this is a censorship of true art itself.

  • @UltraRockSounds I know! There's an amazing band called THE VINYLS who aren't getting enough love and it's unfair :( Check them out! THE VINYLS-GET IT OUT OF YOUR HEAD

  • @bunnyhop28 Pretty nice song I must say. I like the band's name as well :)

  • Epic shit-stirring stuff

  • Geil !

  • atmosphere sounds amazing!!

  • They are good , really good :)

  • have you ever been down?

  • oh the energy of Glastonbury!!! ...God bless Britain! 2013 Glastonbury, here I come!

    Love from India.

  • Seriously... come back, Verve! They should realize that the band is huge, and their stupid brokeup is meaningless, when it comes to make music like this.

    Richard, come on!!!

  • the stones write such great melodies.

  • 1.45 Spinetinglingly good.

    butterflies in my stomach.

  • I enjoy Masturbating, But this beats masturbating any day!

  • I was at the Expo in Germany in 2000 and visited the Brisith Pavilion.

There was a mega-screen which showed photos and short films of British things like, Police (Bobbies), Buckingham Palace, Coutryside, Pubs, London, etc,. You knew when it was going to start because the intro to Bittersweet Symphony started playing. It was heaven!! Everytime I hear this song, I'm back to 2000 and I get goosebumps and tears.

This must be one of, if not, THE most finest song to come from the UK EVER.

    Nuff said

  • a classic song

  • This is one super F-ing masterpiece!

  • Iron maiden should play at glastonbury

  • wow look at the audience and all those flags and wow this is stunning

  • I'm 16 and I really hope this kind of music will be played on the radio again.Like we have to put up with all this new crap and I'll have to live through it.Not that I listen to most radio music. I search hard to find good music. But there's times when it's on in every shop you walk into and you have to stand in the line and listen.

  • From a time when bands meant something! Pretty crazy they got Karl pilkinton to play drums!

  • I know the band doesn't get along with Ashcroft, but when they get together to make music, magic happens. My New Years wish is that the Verve put out an album in 2012 and remind the world what good music sounds like.

  • i want to cry

  • Buenísssssssssimo !!

  • sitting here thinking of you, how you would tell me to turn the volume up when you hear this song and this is my first christmas without you. thank you for teaching me the best principle in the whole world and that is to have patience with people. listen to them, care for them, be there for them and love them ............ unconditionally. thanks mom ;)

ps: i KNOW you are listening to this right now.

  • Yep. This has become a classic. Ashcroft rocks!

  • @ButterCakesBaby fuck you,cunt! capitalism is DEAD...Richard know it in 1997!

  • @gemarcher83 capitalism made america the highest standard of living and the most powerful country on the planet in 240 years, where all other civilizations failed in 6,000 years!

  • Is it true that the verve got nothing from making this song and those guys from rolling stones got 100% of the profit that was made from this music?

  • @KMLVIDEOS i think it was 50/50

  • He looks like Ovechkin, does he not?

  • Ah, I still got this on tape :D Excellent version!

  • Has this performance been released on CD / DVD? Or any full live performance?

  • Where was this concert?

  • Thanks Mr Ashcroft.

  • wait...he's playing a red guitar for most of the song, but then at the end, he's playing a sunburst guitar. They're wizards...I know it.

  • I love this song.

  • bittersweet symphony > you

  • hEJ

  • God damn. Absolutely amazing

  • great festival

  • I want to shoot myself for not being there live, but I was only 15 at the time.

  • no condom sex

  • This is righteous!! Feelin it through the marrow!!

  • Love this so much, but the thing is they have so many other epic songs to rival this one! I listen to the Verve/Richard Ashcroft every day and I'll never get tired of them. Thank you God for giving us this beautiful music.

  • Everytime i listen to it i want to walk over a car

  • @alphatango933: asshole

  • @xgrillerx1 twat

  • asshole

  • The Verve used a Rollings Stones instrumental sample in "Bittersweet Symphony" which in turn legally had them give credit to Keith Richards and Mick Jagger as songwriters. The single's royalties went to Allen Klein. If you plagiarize you then owe whomever created the original work. The song is haunting and the first few notes are instantly recognizable as The Verve's Bittersweet Symphony. Being there must be an amazing head experience.

  • Great performance, great song and Glastonbury is it's usual totally insane self. (For the 3 Americans left not to have ever been there, picture the original Woodstock. Every year.)

  • Oh wow, I wish I would've been there!

  • This song makes me happy everytime I hear it...like sunshine for my ears.

  • @aurora0615 yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah

  • Bittersweet Symphony is a truly great song but if you like this you may like to search:

THE VINYLS-GET IT OUT OF YOUR HEAD

It'll only take 3mins and this band are AMAZING!

  • This is my favourite song....it´s simply the most beautiful, perfect, honest tune I´ve ever heard. And this live version it´s amazing

  • i love this song......

  • God Bless Richard Ashcroft

  • Why have you stolen God's iPod?

  • Genial!

  • 6:20 A man stands and admires his creation

  • The Rolling stone's sued The Verve for plagorizing this song & won. IMO, this sounds more like Sonny & Cher--still a good song, very dreamy & atmospheric.

  • hate seeing knobheads on the front row who don't know the words!

  • Why isn't this the English national anthem?

  • @MusicIsEverythingOK

I have to tell you... that in the rest of the world, when we think on british music, we mostly think in this song and wonderwall

  • @MusicIsEverythingOK Because The Beatles existed.

  • @MusicIsEverythingOK The beginning gets played everytime england plays so its almost there!

  • @MusicIsEverythingOK its a fantastic song but as a national anthom? it would be bollocks.

  • @MusicIsEverythingOK because it's the HUMAN anthem!

  • whenever i listen to that song i see me walking down a street and I feel like the protagonist :D

  • Sorry... Pushed the wrong button... As I was saying - one of those rare songs you recognize after about 4 seconds. :-)

  • Brilliant song.... And one ón
