  • i have a few questions for the people that know the NMB. first is that what is the governing body? (e.g., one agency may have a single administrator while another agency may be run run by a board of governors or a commission. second, is the NMB an idependent executive agency, regulatory commission, or a government corporation and why. and is the NMB a line/staff agency and explain why, using an example of what the NMB does. Thanks!

  • How is it undemocratic? The FAs still have the opportunity to vote democratically. Go management!

  • AFA does not deserve the right to call themselves a UNION. They need to go back to school and learn about being fair, democratic and united. They have their own agendas far removed from that of its DUES PAYING MBRS from which they solicit NO opinions OR feedback! They are deceitful liars spouting promises with no results! Since they have (unfortunately) been on the NW property they've done NOTHING but line their pockets with our $ and drive a divisive wedge between the NW/DL F/As & the Company

  • So why did the AFA go ahead with the voting process at Compass and USA3000 but decide to use stall tactics with the NW/DL vote ? Because they know they don.t have a snowballs chance in hell of winning the $43a mo x 20,000 F/A;s lottery at the New DAL !! It is stated in the video that F/A's wanted a hold on the election for rule change. No one ever asked for my opinion. Our future and DAL/s is on indefinite hold while the AFA like snakes twist the rules to benefit their agenda for greed! NOAFA!

  • AFA is the worst union around. I'm a former United flight attendant.. very thankful now that I'm at Delta. Never would I ever vote in AFA. Its a scam. And Pat Friend is full of it. She just a bunch of talk. lies lies lies.. just takes are money. Be sure that I'm Voting NO!

  • Hey dgcampell1007,

AFA is not US. It is Pat Friend (who is not even a flight attendant) pushing her will on the C3 and MEC, just like she forced contracts at US Airways, American Eagle and other carriers. Most of the NWA leaders don't even ask the people at their base for input and make important decisions based on what Pat tells them to do. They have found that that is the path of least resistance.

  • I wonder what is happening to that half-foot stack of election interference reports that Janette Rook filed, now that AFA withdrew its single transportation system application with the NMB.

Doesn't Janette understand that there can be no election interference if there is no election going on? The election was never called, so there was no interference, yet she works herself into a frenzy filing baseless reports. How sad.

  • If AFA is truly interested in democracy, they would allow other unions on the ballot. Isn't that how it works in the local, state and federal elections that Pat Friend keeps referencing?

This is just another example of AFA trying to bend the rules in their favor. This will get dragged into the courts for years, while we continue to try to survive under our AFA decimated contract. AFA is costing NWA FAs tens of thousands of dollars each year they drag this out.

  • WONDERFUL NEWS! Now Delta might have to actually follow Federal Law instead of telling it's sheep to "give a rip"!

We're tired of hearing about how AFA is only out for dues... All the cuts we've had in the last 10 years are some pretty big DUES for Senior Management.

Delta Air Lines isn't used to a level playing field... now we'll see what the REAL motive is... and it's not to "protect" us!

  • A very good comment was made in this video. The people who do not participate determine the outcome of the election. There is no way of knowing how these people really feel, or, with 3,000 people on leave, if they even receive a ballot. VOTE..count the vote..the most votes win. Very simple.

  • Sick of this crap.... The union is emplyed by US..they work for US..therefore do what we ask....and allow us to vote..the union is looking out for THEIR best interests..they ARE BIG BUSINESS and want the DUES...PERIOD...I have always voted for union... I am soooo NOT going to now that they have pulled these delays.

  • Educate yourself

  • You are right about 1 thing...the union is US. As such, it was our fellow DL/NW FAs and members of C3 who made this decision to seek fair election rules. They made the right decision and I fully support it. There is no excuse for any FA to advocate the former (unfair) election rules...they exist nowhere else in our society.

  • Comment removed

  • Even though I have retired after 43 years with NWA, I totally support the Delta F/As having the right to have a fair and honest Democratic vote and only those folks who are legally eligible to vote and actually do vote should have their votes count. Currently, Delta management needs to be held accountable for their decision making the same way they hold their employees and only a contract will ensure that. Not to have a legally binding contract is too much of a slippery slope.

  • Thanks for that

  • Music to my ears. Job well done Delta AFA. We will wait as long as needed to ensure fairness! Thank You.

  • Finally our voices are heard by the NMB our vote process will finally be a democratically fair ballot process. Thank you all for your hard work and listening to our voices.
