I'm Italian and I find the lady's voice very annoying. Almost every word is mispronounced, the 'uh' sound at the end of every word she utters only adds to the stereotype of Italians not being able to speak English... the old voiceover was much better.
This is a great recipe thank you! I think I would be very nervous when it comes to flipping the bread over onto the baking tray. Is there an easier way?
Great recipe, I will definitely try it because I love ciabatta! Just wanted to ask why you didn't put the dough directly to the pan, why first to the foil? Wouldn't be easier to skip the foil?
@IEatCows No, you must shape it on cling film, then turn it out onto the drip pan, to prevent touching it too much... don't worry, it's not so difficult!
@Hexpigge yeast is naturally in the air. you're breathing it right now. the Egyptians noticed that when flat bread dough was left overnight, it would rise. Yeast bread was an Egyptian discovery.
@Hexpigge its not yeast that makes most breads unhealthy its the ingredients that go into it. Most bread (atleast where im at) is made with bleached white flour and crappy sugar. If you make bread with truely whole grain wheat (sprouted is better), honey or natural fruit sugar, and just high quality stuff. Bread can be amazingly healthy and you can loose weight eating it. =) I make sprouted bread with seed powder etc in it, you can't taste it but adds amazing nutrition!
The fact that there's no instructions for the liquids, is why I won't attempt this recipe.

This seems like a lot of time and work just to avoid a 20 minute kneading process.

I thought ciabatta bread was complicated to make. This is easy. Why am I spending so much to make my man's sandwiches?

@PetjaChannel I was wondering the same if it would be ok to shape it in the pan and not the counter??

@yellowsaffron Grazie! i will try tis tomorrow!
IEatCows 9 months ago
@PetjaChannel It's a necessary step, in this way you'll let the ciabatta rise without handling it too much

Okay, one question: You included Extra virgin olive oil in the list of ingredients but did not show when and how you use it in this recipe!
queenshims 9 months ago
@queenshims It's used to grease the drip pan

@yellowsaffron oh okay! Thanks for clarifying that!

is it true that bread with yeast (powder I mean) is unhealthy?
Hexpigge 9 months ago
@Hexpigge No! The bread with a little yeast is just more digestible

@yellowsaffron haven't expected such a fast reply, thanks for the answer! and a great video as always :].

Just one minor detail: the pronunciation of the word " yeast" is not correct.
atrinka1 9 months ago 9
@atrinka1 Its her accent. different pronunciations different letter sounds etc
IEatCows 9 months ago
@atrinka1 The reason the pronunciation of the word "yeast" is incorrect is because she can't pronounce it cause of her accent. ever think of that?
