@MrCeej9999 Sorry to be pedantic, but it was 9 years later!
They were certainly at the height of their powers though, that's for sure. Although the picture quality is not brilliant, this is a piece of rock'n'roll greatness never to be heard again.

Hey FunkensteinJr, I don't know where you got all of your footage but watching your videos seem to be the only thing I've done in the last couple of days ! Not only do you have some of the best GD footage I have ever seen, this is some of the best live Stones I have ever heard ! Now if you could only break out some JGB footage from 76-78'.... Sending a heartfelt appreciation for all of the bodacious music !!!
@MontrealMort I agree. Actually EVERY song is so much better to hear with a real lead guitar virtuoso, just like Bitch is great to hear with Taylor on rhythm. I'm 18 years old and one of my biggest guitar influences is Taylor, it seems obvious to me that he's up there with the legends - Duane Allman, BB King, Peter Green, Hendrix etc etc. What a smooth touch and fluid style, I recognized him when I was 16 (too late) and it has changed my guitar playing completely.
FunkensteinJr, BIGGEST THANKS TO YOU for posting this WHOLE THING!!!! I've been waiting for so long! I finally can see the whole show and it's MINDBLOWING!!!
They should've added some reverb to the sound, to give it that thunderous Stones'edge. In my humble opinion ,this sounds very dry and rusty. On the other hand, it has a somewhat intimate living room quality. They were still recovering from the Altamont farce it seems. Still..we should be so lucky to see a band like that ,these days.
@PAULLONDEN I agree. I bought this on a VHS tape years ago, always thought it was rather tinny-sounding, needs that "fat bottom" so remniscent of The Rolling Stones' sound with which we've become familiar.
But, as you also noted, just lucky to have a visual record of this gig at all. And as was originally shot on videotape, for that live look ,makes one feel as if right in Marquee Club itself.
@PAULLONDEN I wonder if some tech-savvy audio/video guy couldn't remaster and remix the audio to give this a better sound? Because, on a High-Def screen, with better sound, this would be an incredible performance!
Nobody and I mean NOBODY can get even close to The Rolling Stones LIVE - great video, great guitar by Mick Taylor and great music by each and everyone on the stage and first of all by Mick Jagger! Wanna get those days back into 21st century...
One of the very best footages I have ever seen. Their satanic majesties the Rolling Stones at their maximum power. Raw, natural and fresh. Thanks a lot for uploading this genuine gem.

This has to be one of the greatest Stones video I’ve ever seen.
The Marquee was the location of the first ever Stones gig, for any newcomers to the religion!
They returned 10 years later, for an anniversary gig, at the height of their global fame

Why can't they teach Ronnie to play HALF as well as Mick T after 25 years? Bitch, for instance, is great to hear with a real second guitarist
