Yo what are you laughing at?! I used to play this game 10 years ago, and I still sometimes play it. My father played it. His friend played it. This is the awesome memory I have from my childhood. The music. The graphics. The bugs. The landscape. The story. I love it all.

this brings back some mad memories. This used to be the most realistic shooter out there, believe it or not. The military actually used it for off duty training.

If you guys want to play OFP and are new to it , TRY ARMA 2 ! WIth the latest patches its the best military simulation ever . If you want specifically play Operation Flashpoint 1 and you want better graphics go get ARMA 1 and get the Mod Cold War Crisis its the Operation Flashpoint ported to ARMA 1 so you got much better graphics .

@chabi3000 You need a beast of a computer to play it smoothly though. I mean it's not just the graphics that are demanding in the game, it's all the calculations the game does for bullet drop and all that. I am lucky I have a 6970 2bg to play Arma 2 butter smooth

Actually Flashpoint was released in 2001. Sure the graphics were not the best of the best even back then, but then you have to remember how huge those islands were back then. For me Flashpoint still is one of the best games ever made, and it still is the best wargame out there. Bohemia failed to do better whit ArmAs and Dragon Rising was also a failure. And let's not even mention arcade shooters like CoD, Battlefield or MoH here, they are nothing compared to this master piece.

I don't think the graphics are that bad for the year tbh, it's such a memorable and great game the graphics don't really seem to matter to me

maybe if you'd played it back in 2000 they might not seem so noticable
