  • You should acquaint yourself with the history you're digging up. No problem with the metal detecting at all. You'll just enjoy it more if you know more about the places and events you're uncovering... and you're viewers will also learn more.

  • I got an Ace 250. If you're look'n in the right places they work good. This place you're searching is good because it wouldn't have a large amount of trash. I like to avoid the trashy spots too. I live in Massachusetts too lol. Happy Digg'n & GL

  • Hey guys, that 1854 button looks to be what they call a Goodyear button and is made from hard rubber. They were produced by the Goodyear Rubber Company that produces vehicle tires today.  The buttons were used during the Civil War by the Union Army....Great find...
