So what happened? nothing happened. this is how it always was.
This is how an American soldier should conduct himself. Respectfulness of the local population goes a long way. These kids will hopefully remember the friendly American soldiers when they are older. Even though this is a time of war in their country, we must show respect to the civilian population. Gaining the trust of the Afghan people can help to shorten war and bring our brave young men home that much sooner.
