@unclenugget Siouxsie, ffs. Can't see the similarity to be honest, and I've every Banshees album ever released. Having said that, I like this band a lot...
@henrike87 I disagree. both bands are good and all. I mean I saw the Pixies at Coachella '04, so you knows that I loves on them... But aside from the lead guitar they aren't that similar. Lyrically at least. I mean, tell me you know what Frank Black is singing about in more than half his songs and I'll give you a dollar. Shit, if Frank could explain what he was singing about I'd give HIM a dollar.
I don't care who the band sounds like, what label they're on, or where they're from...Doesn't matter! This song is absolutely stellar; listen with your headphones, you'll feel like your floating!
Can't a band just be awesome without having to have their awesomeness somehow justified by comparison with other awesome bands that have gone before??
Every band has influences, but unless their particular musical style is an entire rip-off of another, then you simply can't make direct comparisons. It's dishonest;misleading at best.
Come on, there's no need to sprout the clichéd musings of music journo hacks à la NME et al! *YAAAAAWN*
They remind me of Pylon which was an old Athens, GA post punk band from the late 1970s/early 1980s. They also remind me of Lush which was a UK shoegazing band from the early 1990s.
i saw these guys (and girl) open for enon at the glass house in pomona, ca. they were facking great! enon was terrible though. and their drummer is a dick. on the way out, one the opening bands mistook me for the singer of love of diagrams. it if it werent for enon, it would have been an amazing show.
In a single week I heard 2 of the best tunes I had heard in a long fucking time: The Answering Machine's 'Lightbulbs' and Love Of Diagrams 'The Pyramid'. Awesome! These guys sleep next to their Cure, X-Mal Deutschland, and Siouxsie Lp's!
Sooo much 80's coming back...but with a better, more talented twist...keep it comin'

@henrike87 I was thinking just that! Like Pixies, Go-Go's, and the Cure all kinda mish-mashed

The Australian (Melbourne-based) experimiental indie pop trio, brings us the IMPRESSIVE second track on their second album "Mosaic" (2007).
Antonia Sellbach is the vox in the video, which really surprises us with a VITAL and a perfectly gestated visual concept.
Undoubtedly a GEM for yr "indie" iPod!
