A good idea, if you have several guns and can afford to keep one or two in reserve, is to get a thick PVC tube with some end caps and bury a gun or two in your yard where no one will ever find them unless they know where to dig. That way if they come to get your guns, they'll never get them all. Once they leave, go get a reserve gun to defend yourself.
I went with the Henry lever action .22 for the low maintenance factor. Also deadly accurate and VERY fun to shoot. For larger rounds I went with Glock 9mm, picked up some 34 round mags, and to go with that a Keltec Sub2000 which also takes the Glock 9mm mags, so it makes a complete system.
@futhermucker1 WELL yes- But in a large esqe calibre- if im not mistaken- that ruger 10/22 has a magizine? i would sugest an- 7.62 or a 5.56 maybe a ar 10, in 308 if your balsy- i see shotguns and bolt actions because thet are reliable- but in a gunfight you would be majorly reling on that 45. just my thoughts.
@XxJDG33xX I have had allot of different guns but Rugers are reliable and not really braking the bank. They aren't as acurate as a Glock or SIG, or even a Berretta, but the do the job very well. TC!

But you you cant just relie on guns alone. "Those whom live by the sword, die by the sword." Words can pirce deeper then bullets and can cut better than knives, but just as any weapon, one must know how to use it for it to be effective.
I would like 223/5.56 because I think it meets the all around needs better. You can still hunt small game with a light .223 and switch to 5.56 loads for defense because you need at least a battle rifle of some kind. A pistol just isn't gonna cut it for defense and a .22 is laughable although It affords some protection but it wont stop people from shooting back, even if they get hit. Also ammo wise .22 primers are unreliable and not rated to be used under harsh conditions, that would worry me.

Good call on your selection! I agree 100% about the .22, something that others wholly disagree with. I spent almost three years of my life in Iraq during the times of the heaviest fighting, and have used weapons of every variety. But in a survival situation i would grab my 10/22 first!

@jessewask4 Yes, definatley bro. Rossi makes a good 22/ 410 combo, over under. Henry arms makes the best over under 22/410 survivle rifle. That by far is the best survivle rifle out there. It was part of the U.S. fighter pilots survivle pack. 410 isn't as common as a 22 but still is worth having. TC!

I would like 223/5.56 because I think it meets the all around needs better. You can still hunt small game with a light .223 and switch to 5.56 loads for defense because you need at least a battle rifle of some kind. A pistol just isn't gonna cut it for defense and a .22 is laughable although It affords some protection but it wont stop people from shooting back, even if they get hit. Also ammo wise .22 primers are unreliable and not rated to be used under harsh conditions, that would worry me.

@Friedstuffsable Yes I have. To stop that problem wrap the sling around your tricep and forearm when in the fireing position . That keeps not only the sling tight around your arm but also the buttstock firm into the shoulder. It's a basic rifleman position. I'll try and demonstrate in the next video. Thanks for the point. I'd rather be the guy with 2 guns and a shit load of ammo than the one having 20 guns and a couple hundred rounds.
