  • Alec Guinnes did the best job - to be fair these films were done 20 years before Bruno's version

  • right now we have the jews controlling everythng. Probably still working with russia today .

Had only the nazis been more efficient and waited to attack russia and the left the uk alone. Regained thier strength, elliminated all conspirators, and resistance fighters. And or re-educated teasonous officers and Generals...depending on who they were of course. some say we are lucky the nazis did not win the war, I am not sure today.I see copying of hitler all over the world and his rise to power.

  • Look at the size of russia on a global map and tell me if they allied with china the world should shit twinkies Should they envoke communist golbalization. Or China waits until after wwiii and just walks the planet..That is fucked. I feel really sorry for Berlin and anyone there in 1945. Such a shame and mess.Injustice for many as well having nothing to do with the terrible take over of Berlin after it was leveled. The damn commies continued to try and destroy Hitlers bunker and reichstad later.

  • Downfall is the best movie about Hitler's last days.

  • @1974geary depressing and innacurate on several counts. However worth seeing for sure. I liked Hitler's ss but they guy they casted as hitler was about as laughable as the one in valkyrie which also was innacurate as a story of events. worht watching for sure also. bruno ganz one of the best hitler's though in all movies..Do not watch rise of evil its a joke and very bad casting and a canadain version of fabrication. hitler loved animals and was a vegetarian and some some pissy angry man

  • nice movie

  • The VHS version is better, This one has had the sound played with, and the background music taken away to downplay the effects. That's what power the media has.

  • @Longshanks197412 don't get me started on how many little changes are on dvd from vhs and how many blue rays are total insults. I could give you a long list right now.

this movie seems a bit fabricated though and too Brittish for my taste . I'l watch it later though.

  • Adolf Hitler is speaking english... Sorry guys, but that's an absolute no-go.

  • @rosenkranz007 Actunnngg and bloody 'ell. Ich bin ein a Germaner i'n it. Seems to work fine!

  • 1:47 what the heck is a soviet soldier doing with a british sten gun?

  • @vidmizz thats not a sten xD

  • @vidmizz Thats a german Erma EMP 35.

  • This is like watching Japanese anime with english dubs.... not the same. Bruno Ganz as Hitler in Downfall is much better.

  • @raybanfandom Agreed, Bruno Ganz was excellent!

  • Its only a movie. Who cares who plays what character

  • ....its truly astonishing on how big a pile of shit the jewboy wankers in hollywood can produce..

  • Holy s**t, what a movie, nothing to do with reality, typical zionist hollywood propaganda ! Someone who belives this crap, please read a book from a person who really was there, Nicholaus von Below for example ... Who makes movies like this, maybe someone who has something against the White race... whom could that be ?

  • Anthony Hopkins is a querky actor, Bruno Ganz is the best tho, amazing in Der Untergang

  • once upon a time when the Americans met the Russians in Potsdamer Platz outside the Reichstag, .... the American's were then, ever so kindly, granted access to the "Bunker",by the Soviet Armee occupiers of that part (as agreed in Yalta by Roosevelt, Stalin, Churchill) to psychologically speculate about an Austrian's mind;

  • Actually the german accents are not all that bad. Michael Lonsdale does have a heavy french one though. This is not as bad as I expected, even after seeing "Der Untergang". Me like.

  • I can't believe anyone is concerned over, who plays the better hitler.. the real one was bad enough!! As for Germans speaking English. In the "Movies" it is too be seen as they are speaking German. Using your Imagination. It is like you are German or what ever Countries a film takes place. It is Make Believe... Not ALL people like subtitled movies, and do badly at the box office.. Which is why you use your Imagination.. All movies are Make Believe..

  • lol at the germans speaking english.

How can you believe a movie like that.

  • @JoeDurobot Same way as you can believe an American speaking English. Would you prefer sub-titles; or to learn to speak German? 'Let him who is without sin', springs to mind here.......

  • @Factnotfictionpeople Subtitles for people who cant understand german would be a nice first step, that way they may start learning the language if thet actually can hear gearmn.

I learned english by watching movies so I do believe people can learn german or whatever language the same way.

  • i found out the only body part of the murderer hitler that remained is a left jaw bone and some teeth, that is all i know and that his remains was cremated only after the allies got a hold of his body and that the ashes were thrown in a river.

may hitler burn in hell for what he did to all the innocent people who were marched to there deaths in the concentration camps.

  • I can't believe I've never seen this. It's three of my favourite actors in it: Michael Kitchen, Michael Lonsdale and, of course, Hopkins. Magic.

  • there was recently a film made of Hitler's last days in his bunker...it was several hours long on cable. It was an all German made film and was really excellent.

  • THE ONLY reason everyone thinks that the Bruno Ganz one is better is because it shows him as lost and crazy, it makes the Americans and everyone else around the world feel better that oh thank god he feels like shit, he looks like shit, haha hes getting what came to him, but LITTLE does everyone know Hitlers remains that the Russians apparently had was not Hitler, I bet you all that he got away, not that I wanted him to.. Jus saying he got away and lived happily every after.

  • Bastards yankess maggots in the world!!! Fuck you, liars, killers, you trash.

  • @leonelbat moonbat

  • Can anyone direct me to a scene where Hitler rants about Fegelein or to Fegelein's execution...if those exist in this movie?

  • @rockinrodney5000 You're probably thinking about this scene from the movie Der Untergang:

    watch?v=3lRDhoNhXuc&feature=related

  • @BigMikeMcBastard That's what I'm thinking about, but does Hitler rant in The Bunker about Fegelein in The Bunker too? Or only in Downfall?

  • This movie sucks compared to Der Untergang

  • James O'Donnell, by a curious coincidence, is the Director of Music at Westminster Abbey...

  • see "The Fatal Attraction of Adolf Hitler", I prefered that over this.

Atleast you hear bits of what happened in the bunker from those that was there.

  • @DesertLynx83 Now THAT one I would just LOVE to see!

  • hbo movie, no trailer? watched it. just lettin the bitches know it.

  • hahaha written for television by john Gay xD hahahhaa

  • Yes I agree that Bruno Ganz and Der Untergang were a far better movie and made a far better presentation of Hitler, but dont blame Hopkins please, he did his job by the script that was written for him.

  • You don't know how good Bruno Ganz is in 'Unterfall' unless you are a native German speaker: he impersonates Hitler's distinctive Austrian accent to an uncanny level of accuracy.

However, Hopkins does very well here, insofar as he can, playing the part in English.

  • @steerpike66 I don't think one need necessarily be a native speaker - I think an informed, fluent listener would be able to perceive the difference in accent. Well, I can, anyway...

  • Hi! It's me! Adolf Hitler! haha! I've fooled the world! I am enjoying life, pussy & life-extending technologies down in sunny Paraguay. Fuck you, everybody! hahaha!

  • @2242bzo Ach, mein Fuhrer...du bist ein bloede Schweinehund! Du bist tot und in die Holle verbrandt!

  • 2:19 John Gay thums up!

  • Funniest Hitler was Inglorious Basterds. Jesus what a dick lol!

  • 2:19 John GAY...LOL!

  • @Palfium66 but in england (or great Brittain) where no jews - so the english nazis had not much to do over there ...:-D

  • Anthony Hopkins absolutely sucked as Hitler. Horrible.

  • Does anyone still believe that Hitler killed himself in that bunker, when others got away or faked their deaths to get away? Even the skull the Russians claimed was Hitler's and kept all these years has turned out in recent news to be that of a woman.

  • @lunaursus No he got away, even Nostradamus said his death will never be certain. You think he would stay there and let the allies get their way? I don't think so.

  • Yeah has anybody ever noticed how all the English actors and producers always make the nazi films and have English accents its quite funny really.

  • @charlieiscool1000 i was thinking the same..english accent talking another who gives german accent?

  • its like a whose who of European actors in the first ten minutes.

  • Thanks for posting...Anyone have a link for Inside the Third Reich with Rutger Hauer?

  • DOBRA BAJKA

  • my knob is enormous

  • needs more fegelein rants

  • A very good film for its time in the early 80s.

  • @ekul1021

there is a bigger number of SS uniforms compared to modern day movies that only seem to portray the wehrmacht

  • Der Untergang is much better.Bruno Ganz was brilliant. Why did`nt he became the oscar for this role?

  • Hitler The last 10 days was way better than this movie.

  • @thegoosebrain Last 10 days wasn't really that good, you should watch "Der Untergang"

  • In an interview with Hopkins long after this movie was made, he said he couldn't even recall making this movie. Question: How can one not remember playing the part of Hitler????

  • @thegoosebrain

I think copious amounts of alcohol might have something to do with it

  • Please write PIPER LAURIE in the tag lines for your videos of this film for all the Piper Laurie fans who search for her.

  • Please write PIPER LAURIE in the tag line for the videos of this movie. For all the many Piper Laure fans out there, who search her name, they can´t find this movie, unless they search for the film. It´s a great film starring Anthony Hopkins.

  • For the foreseeable future, every actor playing Hitler will be measured against Bruno Ganz in "Der Untergang". Ganz's Hitler was to WW2 films what Heath Ledgers Joker was for the Batman franchise.

  • @fenriz218 I agree that Bruno Ganz was the consumate Hitler, however, Heath Ledger was overrated as the Joker. I think if he hadn't died (very unfortunate) his performance would not have been lauded so much. He seemed to be adequate, but I don't think he deserved to postumously receive an Oscar. I basically expected there to be a lot more meaning to the jokers actions, not just acts of terror by some psychopath. However, I would appreciate if you decided to reply, tell me what was his point!

  • @pcjenkin Interesting. There's of course several reasons, my personal being that Ledger-Joker was more like the original, pre-70s Joker who was much darker, would kill for the sake of killing but who'd never kill the Batman, because his only goal was to convince Batman that he was crazy (or as crazy). Technically that meant that he'd have to get Batman to kill him because Batman has "nothing" against the Joker. Later he became more camp and colorful, family-friendly (Nicholsons Joker).

  • @fenriz218 But the second reason why HL-Joker is so popular are surely the times. Terror is a big issue in the westeners mind these days and people often perceive terror as chaotic and planless.

Also look at the youtube comment pages, for example: noticed the sheer amount of trolling, harrassing and insulting, often for no reason at all? Not for money, not for points or credits but for the sake of chaos and disruption. There's the modern Joker for you ... :)

  • wtf bunch of masonnazis nwo here they come if ya notice its lik they are proud to play a nazi in flims not the troops thats just regular ppl getting dragged into the mess these moneyhungrygovernments and most governments not just russia china even us falls under it sarfices our young men and women for personal gain thats the truth if ya want proof research it do som research all ppl that rule have the same goal its the poor against the rich its not race nor religon its all money

  • You'd think that this being a film made closer to the time of the war, they'd have more acurate uniforms.

  • AWFUL HAIRCUTS.

  • 1:48

for all people interessted in weapons, you can see his submachinegun there, its a extremley rare one and this is probaly the only time is it shown in a movie.

The name is "Mors" a polish submachinegun form pre ww2, very good performances but as said, extremley rare.

  • personally i think that Bruno Ganz (Der Untergang) is the only good hitler impression. very well acted

  • @TheShart1234 yah can u believe he was Spielbergs 2nd choice to play Oskar Schindler for Schindlers list?

  • @calibre9mm really i cant belive that i cant see him playing schindler but hes such a good actor that he probably would have done a really good job

  • @TheShart1234 FEGELEIN!

  • @TheShart1234 you dont only think that THE WHOLE WORLD THINKS THAT lol

  • @TheShart1234

May B You are RIGHT...but THIS movie appeared earlier

  • @TheShart1234 ....and Freddie Starr.

  • @TheShart1234 Well, I agree in part, because his depiction of Hitler was in German. But Alec Guinness in Hitler: The Last Ten Days and Robert Carlysle in Hitler: The Rise of Evil also put in very good performances.

  • @WilliamAndrews1969 ''Hitler: The rise of evil'' is the worst depiction of Hitler I've ever seen. It is full of character and historical inaccuracies. Even the historical advisor and author Ian Kershaw found the miniseries to be so rife with falsehoods and historical inaccuracies regarding Hitler's life that he ultimately chose to have his name removed from the project. This, however, can be blamed on the producers, not Carlysle. But, his depiction is too dramatic and doesn't reflect realism.

  • @caporalchef4 I would have to agree on you 100 percent, its Jewish propaganda, to depict him as insane, evil, and psychotic. but saying that I LOVED that movie, truth be told, I liked him because of how they made him look, it was such a good movie.

  • @TheShart1234 That's just because you see it from the perspective of the fashionable style of your own time - which demands hyper-realism. If you want realism, we should watch a documentary.

  • im always looking for this movie... thanks for uploading.....

  • every hitler impersonation was cartoonish before der untergang

  • @cyberyanmar

I recommend The Winds of War to you.

  • @cyberyanmar Absolutely rubbish. This film alone proves otherwise. Ganz merely took the portrayal of Hitler to precedently unforeseen heights.

  • Great movie and a highlight of Hopkins' career!!

  • What was the possibly British production where Hitler grabs a fat guy in braid and screams, "You drug addict!! You sold my Air Force!!"

  • It was fantastic to find this posted on youtube and such a great quality video too! Sir Anthony is amazing as always. Thank you so much for uploading :)

  • I thought it was funny Anthony Hopkins as Hitler.

  • thx 4 the post!
