Berserk was quite dark, but Gantz seems much darker to me. There are also even more absurd sex things in Gantz. I'm still astonished how hbi2k could turn this into something funny.

Personally, I think the music jokes are sometimes used as a crutch. Maybe it's just because I didn't understand many of them, but understood most of the spoken jokes. You're such a funny guy, I don't think you need music to carry to hilarity of the scene and offset the dark theme. Sometimes the dark themes and the humor make a good joke even funnier because of the contrast. Either way, amazing series.

The dub really isn't that great. In fact, when I read the manga, when Kurono and Kato are talking, I imagine them talking in your voices for them. Nishi however, I imagine speaking in Chris Patton's voice, because its fucking beast.

I actually like your abridge more then the actual anime and manga. I just think berserk is so much better though the most recent chapters in the berserk manga are kind of boring since there isn't a focus on guts as much any more. I liked it when it was him fighting alone, but I guess i'm ranting now.

Hooray Chris Patton for Nishi's wonderful dub voice. I thought the dub was suprisingly good though. Although I had first (stupid me) watched your abridged series before I watched Gantz at all and I got to about this episode before I was like okay Ki go check out the series now! So I asked my boyfriend and he lent it to me so I saw it all in like 2 nights and was happy and really enjoyed the series especially Muroto played by Greg Ayres (sounds like Kaiser's Dilandou) Now I'm working on the manga

SONIC WAS THE BOMB!!! Ever since Shadow's game(The last game i enjoyed) Sonic Team hasnt made a game feel anywhere near good. Was knights any good?(Wii) I Never got a wii, and my friend gave up on sonic.

It's fun to watch, but the game kinda plays itself: swing wiimote back and forth and tap "A" periodically. The Wii version of unleashed is pretty much the same (the 360 version brought back the EPICNESS sonic used to have).

I personally appreciated the sonic music. Not only was it funny, it brought back good memories from playing that game, so the whole scene just made me happy.

I can defiantly see the pacifistic message in the series, though when I was actually reading it, I found it hard to see past to blood, guts and sex. Sure I was fine with the gore, it was the sex that ruined the series for me and made me stop....... i bet you can tell what gender i am!

To have a movie or a book or even a comic book and pretend that the characters never have sex is just unrealistic. If you are fine with the killing but the sex is taboo then i'm not gonna guess at your sex so much as i'm going to guess you are really young and shouldn't be reading this age of manga anyway.

Well i'm not sure what you would consider really young, but I am definitely old enough to be familiar with the idea of sex and such things related to it. My problem was mostly how superficial the sex was and how often it was put in when it seemed unnecessary.

I've only just gotten to the climax to the dinosaur mission and I've only seen 3 sex scenes. I'm not sure if there are more afterwards, but I see the gratuitous violence and sex to be a sign that the show doesn't take itself too seriously which is refreshing to me.

Well, At least you can intelligently make your argument(Props) Although i saw the sex as purposefully over the top to the point of almost being more campy then sexy. Anyway, the violence was WAY over the top and overdone MUCH more than necessary. However, as a 16 yr. old, I cant really say i dont enjoy both. Gantz was never one of my favorites anyway. I prefer a good Miyazaki. Both Spirited away and Grave of the fireflies Make me rather sad, Almost to the point of tears. W00T Miyazaki FTW!!!

I never made the connection that the people in the Matrix were watching Gantz. I was under the impression that you were making the characters appear as if they were in the Matrix (not in the movie but the actual Matrix).

lol Interesting commentary. Though not sure if I'd say it would be better for them too just die instead of continuing the forced cycle of violence. I mean, in a way they've been defending a lot people from aliens (in the manga at least). Though Gantz does seem to be get harsher and harsher with their missions as they keep living.

It's definitely better-paced. I tend to think that they could have just taken all the canon stuff from the Gantz anime, cut out all the filler and the long drawn-out stuff, and fit it into one 13-episode season and the show would have been better for it.

It's one the catchiest songs Crush 40's ever done, plus it's from the first level of the most popular sonic game.

It's not that it can't still work when used correctly, but you got to use it sparingly.

I normally don't like Dub voices but I loved the Gantz dub.I especially liked Kurono's and Nishi's voices the best.

I thought it was kind of lovely with a second Kurono. I mean that was Reika's whole purpose until it happened. She'd loved Kurono she wanted his his wiener, she got rejected by him and you know where I'm going with this. Along with Kurono and Kato's goal, lets go back together but the Italy mission was there finally mission and they made it together. But seeing Suzuki die was very upsetting for me, cause he was like a father figure to Kurono. I could go on but I dont wanna spoil gantz for any1.

I'm liking the second Kurono deal, too. It's nice seeing him get a taste of what poor Kishimoto went through way back in the very beginning. Plus it was hilarious that his original self was such a dick about the whole thing.

yeah he was. The second Kurono wanted to do the old switch a roo but the original was such a dick about it and wouldn't let him. I'm hoping to see if Kishimoto said yes to Kato.

Either way, 03 was one of my favorites from the early stuff. The chase seen and the music there in were all just too great.

To be fair, it's also pretty obvious that it's gearing up for the end.

...At least, I hope so. (-: I love the manga, but there reaches a point where it's time to stop bringing up new plot threads and start actually resolving some of the ones that are already dangling.
